  1. Thanks for the feedback. I am working on more attachments at the moment. Paul's Technic Tractor Attachment System (PTTAS) - Winch This is my next attachment, a simple winch using my standard front mounting point. The gear on the side is used to control it.
  2. Recently I built a "C Model" using LEGO Technic set 42075, this was a tractor with a grabber claw. I recently started to look at making some different attachments for this. To do this I have changed how this was attached, the front of my multi-function tractor now has the grabber claw as a separate attachment point which allows different attachments to be easily added and removed, using this standard mounting system. I have also made some other changes to the tractor, now it is not a "C Model" I was able to add some extra parts and improve the body work in places. The first attachment is the rework of the grabber claw. This now mounts using the standard mounting point. I have started building some different attachments which I will be sharing as I finish them in this thread.
  3. I have taken a different path with this now. This tractor is now the base for a new series of attachments. I am using my second copy of 42075 to build these for the moment.
  4. This is amazing, it has given me some ideas for my own attachments.
  5. Thanks all. I am planning another C model using my second copy of this set :)
  6. I buy sets for parts or to make C models.
  7. I would like to present my latest MOC. This is a claw loader C model of set 42075. This has been built using only the pieces from this set. It features: - Hand of God (HOG) steering via the knob on the top of the cabin roof. - Front arm lifting via the black leaver in front of the cabin. This also has a lock to keep it in place. This is required as due to a lack of LA's and no worm gear included, it would not stay in place as it went up. - Manual claw opening, this uses the shock absorber to close it. I had built a winch for the rear but this didn't look "right" so I took it off. You can see in the last photo the parts which were left over after I finished this. I spent about 7 hours over the past few nights building this. I had to go back a few times and change parts used as I needed them for another parts of the model. My building process was: Chassis Lifting arm Cabin Body work Overall I am happy with how it worked out, it ended up better than I was expecting. 8. Spot on. I am just coming back form this now.
  9. Great review. If I got this it would only be for parts, maybe a good base for a C model.
  10. Some really greats mods here. It has ALMOST made me consider buying this set.
  11. Great little review, I think I might need to grab this one :)
  12. This is very cool, something different to what you normally see.
  13. I am looking forward to seeing more details on 42080, it could be a good set if it is done well.
  14. Recently I purchased and built LEGO Technic set 42078 B model (Mack LR garbage truck). After finishing the build I had a couple of ideas for mods to improve it. These are: - Removing the lever on the front forks. I don't think this is really needed. - Adding some extra panels to the bin to make it load and unload easier. - Remove the top LA and other parts used to open and close the rear hatch, this now opens and closes based on the internal compactor. - Add a rear catch to work with the above. - Change the gearing to allow the compactor to work easier. This includes a better leaver to turn it. I also tried making the rear body tip, while I was able to make this work it was not very reliable and would struggle with any load in the rear body so I pulled this up and put it back to standard. Below are some photos and a video of all of these. Video: https://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/2018/03/lego-technic-42078-b-model-mods.html
  15. Has anybody thought of making the rear body of the B model tipping?
  16. After building the B model of 42078, I would LOVE more rubbish trucks. They have such great features and people can relate to them.
  17. I loved this set when I first got it in 1994? Looks great as a studless model.
