  1. Yeah probably better suited to the Xerion's wheels
  2. i tried a buggy motor on small model once.... impossible to get traction for the weight - drifting was good though
  3. would look wicked all in plack with red wheel rims and some red detailing here and there
  4. Wheels look good but... swapping the steering over is easy on the 8860 - but why the longer axles ? and the gearbox changes?
  5. Well done to all entries, I have scored only in order of which one I would buy off the shelf in order or preference, if they were real lego sets sitting in a shop. (so the most complex and wow model may not even score here at all) 7:10 17:6 16:4 4:3 2:2 5:1
  6. So the Porsche seems to have sequential gearbox with flappy gear change paddles plus possible RC and brakes by the look of the size of the wheels.... you could fit a small family in there the more i look the more I understand the 299€ pricing apart from the licencing IP issues - the seats are back to being the work of art old technic car seats used to be...etc... we have to thank the MOCers like Sheepo et al. etc... who have been making complex cars like this that lego 'feels' the need to catch-up with something 'wow' Still wish they'd done a pastel green landrover defender like the last one that was made...and that was the reason they did not do one with the lego ideas channel
  7. beautiful pair of models.... though I would like to have seen 4WS on the manitou - but maybe thats something for me to try with your model
  8. I used to make mine into a convertible - it looked quite nice like that
  9. if you use a tatra layout are the axle diffs needed? surely the two centre ones (longitudonal ones) would be enough - they you could have front left steering side paired with rear right and vice-versa
  10. much better than the official lego version and as for the bucket being too small - in real life multiple attachments are possible and for this job a small one was needed
  11. On my first job I managed to crash into one once (whilst also driving another one [same model]) and it flipped over... the model is great - i love things at this scale but why not flip the motors and have one drive each side (no need for diff and better turning) great details
  12. only one I can think of is this one but its maybe smaller and lighter than you need - oh and no axle hole so a friction pin you would have to use (or clamp it tight)
  13. apart from needing a more realistic prop. If this was a set I would buy it off the shelf - and that is the criteria I use to assign points to competition entries....
  14. i like the steerable back - its different and different is good
  15. its simple - you ask a question (this case can I buy...) answer (not for sale) end of anything else is trolling/feeding the troll
  16. I got some cheap set of 4 from ebay china - they took a long time to come but were great fit - copies of ackermans no doubt however over time the rubber has become 'dusty' and the tyres mark the floor, walls, hands a lot so only for outdoor use at the moment.

  18. I go with the tape solution - or technic tracks around them
