[MOC] [WIP] KTM 690 LC4 Engine (NEW Video)
Awesome, love it. I would love to build this and display at Lego shows along with my Technic motorcycle collection. Any chance of some instructions or a few more photos?

Anyone have a good method for cleaning LEGO tires?
Glad I found this topic doing a search. I bought 4 used motorcycle tyres and 2 were looking really tired. After wiping all 4 with Armourall they all look the same now.

Technic 2022 Set Discussion
3DKiwi replied to Technicallism's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI'm picking that the 42130 - BMW M1000 RR K66 won't be a Technic set but rather an Expert set like the Harley Davidson with a few Technic parts but mainly bricks. Either way I'll be getting it.

[moc] lego red yamaha niken motobike
3DKiwi replied to legking's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingBit late to this thread. Since this topic was posted Lego have released the Ducati 42107. I'm thinking some of the parts like forks, plus the single swingarm wheel mount would make for a less flimsy model. That plus the new disc brake discs. Maybe the fairing as well. Anyway, awesome design. Be great to have this as the next Technic set in 2022.

Harley Davidson Fatboy - Digital Version
Thanks. Yes, all parts modelled by me. I've been modelling Lego Motorcycles for a few years so have quite a collection of parts. For the Harley I had probably 75% of the parts already modelled. I did a chrome version but didn't like it. A real Fat Boy motorcycle has satin chrome rather than shiny chrome so silver is a lot closer. Plus Lego does some silver parts whereas I think Chrome parts are done by 3rd parties.

Harley Davidson Fatboy - Digital Version
Here's how the 10269 Harley Davidson could have looked with silver parts. I've also included the normal light gray coloured versions as well. This is a 3D model that I have modelled all parts using Modo (3D application). No imported parts. There is several months of work gone into this. I've got the real Harley Davidson model plus all of the Technic motorcycles ever made. Stickers were made by me using Affinity Designer (Vector drawing application).

Website for digital sticker sheets
Couple of hours work with a vector drawing program and you could create your own. Edit: Image no longer available.

Animate in LDD
I would suggest exporting parts from Leocad in obj format into a proper 3D program and animating it in that. While I have SR Builder getting a decent output is almost impossible. Here's a preview render I made using Cinema 4D from parts that I modelled myself. I have yet to do a full / final rendered animation. Engine Animation Approx 8mb

Technic models made with Cinema 4D
Thanks for converting the images. I looked at using attachments but the attachment size was too small. I've added thumbnails in addition to your links. Re rendering guide. Yeah maybe although if someone owns Cinema 4D importing a Leocad (obj or 3ds) file is dead easy as is applying materials and rendering. A lot easier than either Blender or Povray.

Technic models made with Cinema 4D
Hi everyone. I'm a new member here. I thought people into digital Lego might be interested in some of my 3D Lego models. I made all of the parts with Cinema 4D. There are no imported LDraw / Leocad parts although I did bring a few parts exported from Leocad into Cinema 4D to take measurements before producing my own high resolution versions. I've also got the real Lego model of all of these and also took measurements from the actual parts as not all parts are available in Leocad. The stickers on the buggy are scanned from the original stickers. I'm working on my own design for a variation. I'm happy to answer any questions. Some of the parts like the red fairing panels and rims took up to 20 hours each to model. Fortunately for these fairing panels I was able to modify the first one to produce the others. The buggy and Backhoe are fully rigged and functional. The enjoyment for me is the modelling process. I've now built up quite a library of highly detailed parts so don't have to start from scratch with each new model. Besides the 2 models below I've done a couple of less complex models. These were my first efforts at modelling Lego parts. You can see them in my personal gallery. Enjoy 8048 buggy side view. Just over 2 million polygons. Mainly due to the edges being bevelled.
