  1. It's an urban legend.............. I don't think this 105 off exists............ No one's posted links or screen shots so I think it's a fake!!!
  2. So some people have had their orders shipped, whilst others are cancelled......... how random.
  3. An awesome deal is only if it's in stock, and 80% off their stock appears to be out of stock. Disappointing, they could have advertised it at $99 dollars, but no stock means no one get's one.
  4. That's just insane, great to see Lego's looking after the Australian customer...... ow wait, it's all about their wallets.
  5. Your spot on with "online sales are killing us" but they'll forever cry that they never make enough even thought they charge double!!!! The reality check is coming their way............... online sales are here to last and I'll be buying from overseas any chance I get since I hate being ripped off. Drop your prices retailers and you'll get more sales and more people through the door.
  6. I know the price is funny, but check out the "Order Yours Today, stock expected in October".............. brilliant, I love to wait 7 months for something which has been out for how long........ and be stupid enough to pay full RRP....... DREAMING !!!!!!
  7. Kmart stocking minifigure The Death Star 10188 was a massive flop, I got one on clearance for $450 which was still way too much for the set, especially since last year I could buy the 10188 from overseas at under $400 dollars. The $699 RRP level for Australia is a joke, move on from the Death Star and perhaps bring in the Super Star Destroyer at a decent price...........
  8. Not released in the US? I find that very very very very very difficult to believe!!!!! With a population of 300 million and them having to pay half the price for Lego then the rest of us I do find it difficult to believe that it won't be released in the USA.
  9. How right you are kind Sir, my $2 Billion was infact supposed to be $2 Trillion to those financially minded :-)
  10. Well the country is in $2 billion dollars debt, they have to start making back money somehow....... That was the last true "cheap" Amazon shipping supplier since all the others have jacked up their prices also. The dream/buying was good whilst it lasted. RIP cheap shipping
  11. DO NOTE: that 'thehut' cancel orders very very easily because shipping costs to Australia are to high for them. That was their last excuse to me for a cancelled order I placed, sad part was that I had to battle them through the Paypal system to get my $130pounds back even though they kept promising a 5 day money refund (twice)!!! BE VERY CAUTIOUS!!! I only won the Paypal dispute case (25 days later I might add) because the postal tracking number 'thehut' provided as proof wasn't verified and wasn't legitimate when investigated by a Paypal customer service officer. So only then Paypal sided with me and returned my money, 'thehuts' customer service was terrible, promises and nothing to back them up with. I know the UK company needs money but ripping people off isn't the right away about doing it. I won't ever be using them again after those criminal tactics they used - keeping my money and providing nothing (otherwise known as stealing).
  12. Hey All, The Lego.com.au Sale has begun, 2 or 3 great real bargains but the rest is a crappy 20% off sale, not worth mentioning or worth buying because Target offers the same 20% sales whilst other sellers offer better deals........ Some really disappointing sales items, where have the 50% off sales gone Lego??????
  13. Strange that it's not advertised in their recent catalogue????? Wouldn't that be a first in Australia, Buy 1 get 1 50% off........... they must really be needing the sales and dollars to come if they're offering what the US has been getting for the last decade.
  14. Same thing happened to me at the start of the year, BigW online mix up with a set and price, and when I phoned BigW that they sent out the wrong set they checked the system and saw what they had sent me was correct becase of the barcode and SKU associated with the set. They did nothing and didn't even accept responcibility. Errors happen, all I could do is either post the Lego set back to them and they'd refund me the money, or I could take it into a BigW store and they'd refund me over the counter as long as I took in the Invoice. I went to the store, said that BigW online had shipped the wrong set to me but when they checked the product code and SKU they saw it was infact the right one. I showed them a screen print out of what was advertised online, set name, number, picture and thought I had a good case.............but they couldn't do anything, simple error that they weren't going to take responcibility for because it was an online BigW error. The end of my saga was I got my money back and I returned the set......... I wasn't going to pay for postage to send it back to BigW as it cost me enough to take it back to the store!!!
  15. Absolutely agree with dotmike, ordering from Fishpond is a hit and miss game, and when they do ship out then your lego set could be wrapped in soft card board which means the box will be crushed and smashed like it has been done to me! If you want to give the set as a present it's not be worth it.......... waiting times to receive orders can be up to 60 days and they do cancel orders randomly when they can't get products. Another negative with Fishpond is that your credit card is charged straight away on any purchase, so if they do cancel your order then you might be looking at getting your money back 40 to 60 days later.
