  1. Thanks everyone, i don't have MT figures, in fact i've never had model team sets :)
  2. Honestly, the grey on the engine should be chromed, i don't have any chrome parts. However, i tried painting those grey pieces with metallic silver model paint, brush marks annoyed me a lot, so i left it as it is. Additionally the exhaust pipes on the fake engine could be chromed too, again the same method of painting them didn't work. I also ended up having not enough black tiles to cover the top of the battery box :) it also already got quite heavy for one XL motor to drive it, lost quite a bit speed with how it currently is. I totally agree with the grill. Red 2x1 grill pieces covering the bottom half of the grill might have looked more blended in, yet i don't have red grill pieces :) I worked on this for almost about 2 months on and off. I got to the point of abandoning it a few times, so i didn't order and wait for any specific parts. I just found myself wanting to complete it as it is. Thanks for your support and constructive feed back everyone.
  3. Thanks Zblj! I've added the under picture.
  4. Hey folks, Here's my first motorized Hot Rod moc. It's driven by one XL and steering is handled by an M motor. Lights are kind of useless to be honest as it's quite too fragile to drive in dark in my already crowded living room :p But hey, details are details! Here are some of the shots, you can find rest of the pictures on my Flickr profile; I'll record a video and upload/post it as soon as i get my hands on a Gopro or any camera better than my iPhone 4S. Thanks!
  5. Thanks OzShan. I am happy with how white-dark tan combination on the trailer looks like as well.
  6. Hey everyone I finally completed my truck which looks like this; I couldn't get my hands on round bricks to give one end of the trailer curves so it ended up being a regular container box. For more pictures here's my Flickr
  7. Thanks Jim. I'm hoping to finish it by first week of April and will be updating this post with finished pictures.
  8. No, i only designed the alternative trailer on LDD to show what i have in my mind to complete it with. Truck and current trailer were built with improvisation really.
  9. Hey everyone, It's been a while since my activity on the forums due to "life" :) , now i'm back with a WIP moc. It's pretty much complete, just need to finish the trailer. I want to hide the battery box there. So i will be buying necessary pieces and build something like this below in 2 weeks; Anyone else wanna share some of their opinion/idea with images/pictures/ldds? I extended the trailer's lenght abit up to 44x10 studs than what it is on the pics, for those who'd wanna create something on ldd for me :) Rest of the pics you can check on my Flickr. All the best!
  10. Love it! your other mocs are great as well, followed!
  11. Thank you so much!
  12. Hello everyone, I am working on a 128x128 studs size creation, I am wondering if there's any tool like Hand Tool in Photoshop etc to move my screen center around in the canvas(?) ? Thanks!
  13. selfshot posted a post in a topic in LEGO Town
Hey everyone, This is my first post under city/town forum, and here's my 8 wide truck with it's trailer. I tried to replicate the new-gen trucks like Scania's R730 and alike, this is the result of it :) Truck itself; With the trailer; I don't know how many pieces it has as i am not really an LDD builder. Trailer consists most elements from set #3221 as you might have guessed. The trailer could have been 1 brick higher to make it look better and more realistic i think, but i ran out of pieces of matching color. Truck itself took 3, trailer 1 evening for me (working guy). I am not a big fan of city sets, more of a technic/power functions lover, but i loved working on this kind of a model, so you might expect more "minifig scale-ish" stuff from me for your cities :) Sorry for the quality of the images, had to take the pictures in the night time. Hope you liked it and i will make this in LDD if anyone needs.
  14. Great work, it inspired me to make a trophy truck for myself as well. I have two questions though; 1) How did you / did you have to solve the gear slipping from differential issue? That seems to be a great problem for me when using differentials the same way. Either one of the gears on one side in the differential slips out. 2) Did you get the rims chromed? Thanks!
  15. Thanks! I'm happy that you liked it :)
  16. Hey everyone, Here I, present you my transport truck moc before i take it apart :) It is driven by an XL motor and steered by an M motor. Not really sure about it's piece count. I kinda wanted to put it on LDD to figure out it's piece count but instead i figured i suck at LDD :) The idea in the beginning was to make a small -almost minifig scale- truck and a trailer. But i somehow couldn't keep the trailer, controlled? . I don't know much about technical details behind vehicle designs and functionalities, so i dumped that idea and instead moved on to build a regular truck. Then, due to missing color-matching panel-plate pieces to cover the box on the bed, i decided to cover it with linen, representing the canvas on some transport trucks. You can find the detailed pictures on my flickr page. (no need for picture cluster) And here's the short video to demonstrate how it runs on my dining table; Due to it's small size on the back side of the chassis barely fitting the motor and the gears together i couldn't fix the "grinding" on the gears. It's not a continuous grinding, just does it every time you move it forward the first time. And due to missing a 2x4 windscreen, it looks rather ugly with the windscreen built with 2x6 and 2x4 layout. This MOC took about 3 weeks for me to finally finish with given 2-3 hours each week to work on (working man :( ). I loved the process and the result. I hope you liked it and somehow got inspired by it as well. All the best! /O
  17. Great work as usual. You'r pretty lucky to have an urban area that empty of people :)
  18. As a motorcyclist, you have my vote! Good job, man!
  19. Thanks everyone for your answers. I think i'll be building a sandrail or a buggy some sort :)
  20. Hey everyone, I was wondering if there are any solid motorized technic creations on wheels of 9392 . I have a set of these and for some reason have never managed to put them to good use, for me they are quite hard to be put on a vehicle with suspension setup and small enough not to be able to overcome many "in house" obstacles. I was wondering if anyone could share some creations (preferably ldd or pdf instructions) built with this set of wheels so i can get some inspiration for myself :) I hope i was clear and my question is an interesting topic in the forum. Best.
  21. Hey all, I stumbled upon this while searching for ideas for my next truck creation, i couldn't keep it to myself. http://files.coloribus.com/files/adsarchive/part_958/9585505/file/mercedes-actros-lego-truck-original-57491.jpg From the perspective of an advertiser i found it to be quite neat and clever ;) Hope you like it. P.S. : Sorry if this doesn't belong here, tried to post it on Community forums but it wouldn't let me.
  22. Thank you all for your positive feedback, very much appreciated. Thanks. Like i said, majority of the pieces covering the sides are the big panels from 3221 set. I don't have that big of pieces in different colors. An APC would be cool but it'd require reverse curves with slope pieces in gray-black ish colors which i lack. And coming from a country where Lego does not sell online via s@h or pick a brick feature to order specific pieces. So, collecting cheaper sets :) Yea, that reminded us as well :) Funny, the figure has similar looks as well other than the cap. PM me if you ever need detailed pictures than the ones in my Flickr to help you out before i unmake it soon. Thanks Doc! The smoke is simply a drag of cigarette :) Dry ice would do a similar job. Also, turns out when you clean your desk with a desk-table cleaning spray before you -apply- a smoke effect it kind of makes the smoke attached to the surface, which looks very cool :)
