Well, August has been a good month for Pirates and a bad month for my pirate budget. I'm already $86 dollars over my limit and we're only a little over half way through the month. I've picked up 3 more sets since my last post. So, without further ado, here's my collection as of now... 6235 Buried Treasure 6245 Harbor Sentry 6257 Castaway's Raft 6260 Shipwreck Island 6265 Sabre Island 1492 Battle Cove 1696 Pirate Lookout 6258 Smuggler's Shanty 6268 Renegade Runner 6234 Renegade's Raft 1481 Desert Island 6280 Armada Flagship The red items are my newest additions. Of course, I had to buy parts from Bricklink to complete my Armada flagship since it was not 100% and since I was ordering, I bought multipes of some items, another set (Desert Island) and a few other pieces I may need/want in the future. *sigh* My poor credit card this month....

I got my first ship the other day and am thrilled with it. It's only the Renegade Runner, but now my pirates have a vessel they can use to pillage! As a kid I never did have any of the ships, so I was really excited about getting it. I LOVE the Pirate theme! The only sub-theme of the line I don't really care for is the Islanders. Growing up I never had any of the ships or large sets, so I'm anxious to get add those to my collection. I remember asking for the BSB one Xmas and was a little disappointed when "Santa" didn't bring it. That year I think I got the Victory Lap Raceway instead... It just didn't compare! I wish I still had my original sets, but they have been lost in time. Presently I'm working on a backstory for my pirates using historical references and inspiration from the Pirates of the Carribean. Once completed, I'll post it. I have plans to build a port once I get enough pieces, but the original sets are my current priority. -Lord Arlington
