Before 2009, blue emergency light were reserve only for volunteer Firefighter and EMS. Since 2009, all emergency vehicle in the state of New York have acquired blue LED/light in their light strob pattern. Studies have shown that blue light can be seen further compare to red and more noticeable for drivers.

You want more photos of the trains or town?

After a long debate, Lego city have a monorail... I had to raise the rail by a brick, so trucks can go underneath them.
  5. I've done it before. It isn't hard at all. All you have to do is gut out the inside of the engine. I was able to fit, the rechargeable battery, I.R. receiver, and all of the wiring. I don't have any photos, but it isn't hard to do. However, converting the Metroliner into a PF train kinda defeat its purpose. I converted mine back into running on the 9v tracks. Good luck!
  6. So the President decided to visit Lego City... and no one cares... However, traffic jam is expected due to his arrival, and local Police Department is working twice as hard.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments. My wife and I spent a lot of our time building and setting up the layout. Everything have been trial and error. I just shifted a few things around, let me know what you think. Ambassador leaving the Embassy for a meeting in his range rover.

Okay. Thanks for the heads up. If you do plan on selling off some of your BNSF collection, please let me know. Although I have a large collection of the GP38, I think it's a bit out of date.

Hi, Very nice! I was looking through you album and noticed you made a GE40 BNSF engine. I am curious to know if you are either selling them or taking request on custom building them for sale? This is what I am referring to:

Very simple and quick project as I was able to gather up the bricks. In reference to my very own Precinct that I work for, the New York City Police Department's 34th Precinct. Although it does not look like such, I've always wanted to build a Precinct in Lego.

Hello, I began to experiment with converting both 9v and RC trains to adapt the new PF features. I played around with my BNSF trains, but with the compartment being so small, it's hard to fit in a PF battery. So, I've decided to mess with the Metro-Liner and the RC trains. I don't hold a master degree in Electric Engineering, so if my conversion seem a bit odd, bare with me. ^ Basic RC motor seem a bit weak, so I attached an additional 9v motor to give it more power. ^ I couldn't install the battery, PF IR reciever, and wiring inside the engine, so I had to attach a B-unit. ^ Metro-Liner conversion. Everything was able to fit inside the main Engine. Long story short, I am able to control both the RC and 9v with the PF IR controller, and if any of the train lands on the 9v tracks, it can be powered by the track.

Topsy Cret, Please understand that Marine Corps. is the only "Branch of Service" of the Military that's authorized to guard our Embassies. They're phasing out a lot of details and billets to Civilians counter part, so it doesn't surprised me if that Embassy that you have mention in Denmark have Gov't contractor to provide security. On top of that, due to budget cuts of Department of States, a lot of Embassies are downgraded to Consulate, which does not house an Ambassador, which doesn't not require US Marines to provide security. This reminds me of me being in the country of Taiwan, and the Consulate there does not house any US Marines, but they've private security. I was able to put up the fence and I order a few more windows to match the entire building. I've also started on my next MOC. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Served from Jan 2003 to Dec 2006 on Active duty with the Marines, and serving from 2007 as a Police Officer and as a Marine Reservist. No, not at all. I do enjoy having a decent size Police force in my Lego city, but I mainly focus on the train sets. Speaking of which, I have an important question to ask about my 9v train set. My BNSF train is running on 3 engines (3x 9v motor and 1x RC motor) and towing 23 cars. After the train goes around like 8-10 laps, the train stops, and I have to let the AC power box cool off before it will run again. Do anyone have this kind of problem? Am I lacking power or I am just towing too many cars?
