  1. Thanks for the info; I was on the fence, and this was what I needed to go get it!

Thanks, I think you have a great start! The floor and office areas are well done. Glad to have some reference photos when I start to mod mine. Double skylight might look cool.

This is very similar to what I had envisioned building, Lego Conductor! Do you think it is more efficient to pick up the needed extra bricks separately, or just get another Brick Bank? Great work, by the way! I'd love to see some pictures of the interior too.
  4. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm finding some great ideas!
  5. I have an area of about 12' x 6' in a basement room for displaying my LEGO town, and I'd like to buy or build a table. Can someone point me to some examples or how-to resources? Thanks!
  6. Awesome, I think the hammock might be my favorite detail!
  7. I'm in the Midwest, and it's usually about one week from order to arrival, maybe a day or two less.
  8. If you are LDD-savvy, I think you could download the Pet Shop LXF file, delete everything except the building floor you're interested in verifying, then output the parts inventory: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226&st=1775
  9. This is what I want to know as well. Not a big fan of the printed bags from the previous series, the backpack accessories are much better IMO.

Sounds very similar to what I had envisioned, Off the wall! I hope you'll post a picture of it at some point; it'll help me decide if I should go ahead with another one!

Um, so to sorta derail the hostility train... I picked up a copy of DO at my local LEGO store on the 1st. Haven't built it yet, partly because I'm thinking of mirroring each side like I did with Pet Shop. There, I ended up with a really cool residential building, and a large pet store that I'm still modding. I like the potential for the Highlander, with a double door entrance, a bar near the pool table, and a large office for Ace (or maybe a sassy, competing female detective next door?). Not sure how well Al's will expand with the alley, but hey, it's LEGO so it'll work eventually. Anyone else want to buy multiple sets and mirror expand like that?
  12. I received my sample pack today also, very good stuff! The clutch power on the sleepers and connectors is excellent! I have plans to set up a full train layout, and I think I'm going to source all my track from ME Models. Congrats, your hard work definitely shows! By single-piece fused units, I imagine that means the sleepers and connectors would be permanently bonded to the rails? I would also be interested in purchasing individual components, specifically the rails, as other users have suggested. I think once you're on a solid flat surface, you could just use a standard 2x8 plate on the rail-to-rail connection without much issue.
  13. Incredible, the level of detail is fantastic, even with piece limitations! Reminds me of the game SimCity in a nostalgic way. That diagonal building near the center of the fourth pic is my favorite; getting those angles to work well must've been challenging!
  14. I've always thought the fewer seams between bricks you have, the better. But those seams really give your creation excellent detail and depth!
  15. Remarkably clean given the limited part pool! I like how both vehicles have a distinct style. Should we be worried that the criminal is the flagman?
