  1. So after thoroughly reading this and other threads I have changed my mind to build Berthil's V3 Ball factory for a show next year. I was hell bent on building and modifying Akiuki's to alleviate the base plates, as I prefer his layout better. But I LOVE the solid frame design of Berthil's version for shows. So now the dreaded collection of parts starts. After I have a working show version, I do plan on going back and building Akiuki's and modifying to be base plate-less. It seems that I am pretty stuck with Dark Bluish Grey (One of my favorite colors) and yellow. I don't think there is any other color that has all the components that yellow has. So I will go with that. I want to thank EVERYONE who has contributed and special thanks @Berthil for conquering a truly complex beast of a GBC and making available to fans like me your Instructions that you so diligently perfected.
  2. Just curious if instructions for this version were ever generated?
  3. Great advise, I am going to rebuild and lubricate. But the air I will definitely try. 4 small pumps you think?
  4. @Berthil Have you tried replacing the batteries in the Lego 8878? Are you still using genuine Lego 8878 or have you moved to aftermarket? I always enjoy admiring your work. Have you built the Akiuki Pneumatic module? Curious about your thoughts on that one. I'm currently trying to master both the pneumatic module, train cars and un-loader - all Akiuki designs.
  5. Incredible Build!! Where do I find those storage containers you use for your parts?
  6. Were you able to test the transformer with the red plug to see what its capabilities are? I'm interested in using these to run more than a few GBC using 1 transformer. GREAT video as always.
  7. You can use the white stripe for hidden wires......
  8. @1974 - Go here for wire. I have repaired many 9V wires with GREAT success thanks to @BatteryPoweredBricks. I haven't had to repair sensors yet - But Thank you @alexGS for your demonstration - I feel less apprehensive toward repairing the sensor wires using your method.
  9. @Berthil - Do you have any other photos so I can try this out?
  10. Thank you, Is your corrected file linked on Page 1 of this thread?
  11. Been working on the Akiyuki Pneumatic trying to solve the jerky movements. I had been thinking about this mod for a while. The up down movements were pretty easy to dial in using the ever so touchy sliders. So I thought why not adapt those to the rotation movement. That worked out pretty well. The only other issue I need to address is the rack that shifts just enough for the scoop arm to get caught on with weight in the basket.
  12. So here are the before and after mods to the Akiyuki Reverse Module. So far working flawlessly. IMG_4797 by Steve Niedzwiecke, on Flickr IMG_4796 by Steve Niedzwiecke, on Flickr
  13. I am considering adapting the direction selection from Type 1 into the type 2.....
  14. Looking for the Type 1 building instruction in pdf form....
