  1. As for me, that's my real dream to get any Russian CM fig, even offensive stereotypical one.) Though now it's nearly impossible.
  2. I always adore Baroque structures made of LEGO; LEGO MOCs often look simply, even if genius, and old styles require lots of details for which there are no special parts made. Towers' roof decorations are wonderful. I always wanted to see such a thing in LEGO. And the columns' capitals are wonderful for such a size! Now I want to look at it's dome in LEGO!

These ruff pieces make everything look royal.) The tower itself, especially its dome and colonnade, are amazing for such a size though.

The details there such as the window decoration, the book\map and especially the candlestick are amazing. Not sure about the story behind it, but the old monk's head combination is very suitable for that scene.

I have some of these glasses without any idea how to use it (no other door parts except ones in finished MOCs and sets). I had some thoughts about the water, but your decision is simply genious! The effect of decrepitude is also brilliant!
  6. The atmosphere of this scene is very realistic. The whole structure is very detailed, and figure posing and overall composition looks great!
  7. Well, maybe your Troy looks not so epic, but it's very detailed and beautifully decorated! The techniques make the scene very realistic.
  8. This classification is quite an interesting thing. Some of the figs were especially made to represent different national traditions, costumes, music, sports and so. But some are really international and it seems funny to write here the name of the first country where such a thing was introduced, especially for ancient jobs like clowns (Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh is truly ancient and Egyptian, but S1 or S5 clowns surely look much more modern). Of course it is interesting that there are even some 'Russian' ones although I think that fantasy or Sci-Fi figs shouldn't be classified here at all. About the diving suit, I didn't know that it was a Russian invention.)
  9. At last here is the traditional Review, and it's great as usual! Thanks for this high-quality analysis of the 10th Series! Yet I believe that the information about worldwide launching today is a joke.)) And of course it seems bad that TLG hasn't given you Mr Gold Fig for a review. When will we see him 'in the flesh?' After all, the series is great with such an amount of historical\mythological and simply beautiful figs. Can't wait to get them all... The only thing I can't understand at all is why the AppStore is mentioned on the figs list.

Your stories are still great, and I always adore well-designed purist custom figs! And maybe now it's too late to mention, but the difference of colours in photos 1 and 26 is an example of excellent usage of LEGO acessories' color variation, though I don't know where does the black sausage piece come from. What set?
  11. I wonder whether WhiteFang will review the full set containing Mr Gold fig or just average complete series?
  12. His uniform looks interesting, but only if we could get multiplies of these...

This thing is truly amazing! I really love every detail in this great MOC, especially the theater and orange-roofed civil houses. The number of little scenes and additional models is incalculable, and it looks very lively.
  14. Thank for the picture as usual, GRogall! Roman Commander and Revolutionary Soldier are perfect, Medusa (at last with Ninjago snake tail?) But 'rare' mr. gold looks very ugly to me, too bad he is pictured here as a part of collection.
  15. This is a great MOC! I love the Gothic-like building itself, especially windows and columns there. The throne room with its tiled floor is simply a masterpiece! And the pattern on the back roof looks beautiful. Houses on a slope looks very realistic, too.
  16. I've built this little MOC last year, after my actual trip to China. Hope to order some parts via Bricklink to built more accurate one... Also, I don't like these photos... Of course, it looks much better in real life and on preview pics with low resolution.) More photos on Flickr
  17. The city tower itself seems well-designed and looks very solid. The detailed part among the gate is brilliant! I still adore these unusual round structures in your MOCs!
  18. Isildur is interesting, though he doesn't seem suitable for the last day of the calendar... And your mini Minas Tirith is just fantastic!
  19. Usually weapon\tool stands in advents are amazingly boring, but your ones are adorable: they reflect the style of elves, hobbits and the Rohirrim perfectly!

Chapters 17&18 are the best! The little Hogwarts is something instantly recognisable, and the interiour inside is very detailed! I also like the story itself.
  21. The 4th one was really nice idea for possible real LOTR advent calendar)) The 5th one is interesting, though it's very small for minifigures, but way too big for one-day advent set...
  22. Thank you for such a fast review, WhiteFang! It's definetly far better than simply getting pics on the official Minifigures site. The Caesar is amazing with his clothing and face print, and the tile with such a suitable text... I'm now waiting to add it to my Triumphal Arch that still have no triumphal text on it.)) The Starlet is one of the most beautiful female minifigures ever released, and the Mermaid is a cheap way to get such hairpieces... The Fortune-Teller perfectly fits this trio, she's very detailed with her cards. I also like the Judge, like Caesar, not only because of the wig, but because of face expression (it remainds me of our Russian Foreign minister he-he, something new for my personalies collection. ) The Waiter is remarkable, too, with his suit and the new print for the bottle. The Cyclops, Elf Woman and Knight will be great addition to my Fantasy Era sets... So I'm waiting to order the full set from Ebay or so - in my Siberian town there is no Series 8 yet, though I bought Series 6 Roman there on the last day of the previous December...
  23. Great idea! Can't wait for new sets and pics, this one looks pretty recognisable. Аs for minifigs, because of limit of decals in LDD you maybe will make them with MS Paint, Photoshop or any other similar program? I've seen some collections of figs that were made in LDD but with decals added in MS paint, these were different soldiers, and the details of their uniform were amazing.
