Thanks! I'm sure there will be the proper effect if I make a fully grey column. The worst part of the build is certainly a grey connector! I don't like LDRAW tool, and it's impossible to build such a column using LDD; so I'll order some grey hands and connectors and try to make some new columns... Maybe I'll change something when I'll look at the result. And, of course, this is the problem of photos! In real life there aren't white background, and the capital looks quite solid (except the brown part)

For me the best LEGO-related challenge is trying to build some elaborate architrectural elements. This is the main part of my recent MOCs (check the examples: modular baroque, palace and others). Yesterday I tried to build a capitel for a corinthian column. Many slave minifigs were damaged at construstion site... Unfortunatly I haven't got pieces in appropriate colour... That's why the column is yellow now, and these connectors are reddish brown. Hope to buy dark bluish gray pieces for 4 capitels and special pieces for columns (they are not supposed to be square!!). Want to see something like this: I'm waititng for you comments!

It's great that your LOTR project continues now! The Dead Marshes scene is a great idea, even for the real set! The usage of trans-clear tiles and the function are awesome! Like the face of Treebeard. The only thing that looks odd to me is Gollum figure! Nothing wrong with the skeleton body, but I wish there were some custom, maybe only face decal...

Thanks for the great review! In my opinion the set is quite beautiful, again except the clock. I think that it would be better to make the tower less detailed without any clock parts (well.. just like in my Spasskaya Tower ) or maybe even detailed stickers with gold decoration pattern (the set is meant to be displayed, so the stickers applied directly to the top part without any SNOT parts here wouldn't bother as much as these clock parts!!)

This new dress piece is a real progress! Hope they'll make special dresses for Castle\Pirates figs instead of these old-looking slopes... Thank for the review!

Personally me don't like the clock part (it's huge and quite ugly...), but grill tiles usage here is very smart! Maybe the clock part won't bother if look straight at the tower... The box art angle is weird.

Hope we'll see this model some day... Though it may be not very recognizable in LEGO form (about the coloured domes...), I'd definetly buy it...

Great diorama! This certailnly reminds me of the Pelennor Fields Battle from the LOTR (because of the orcs army units). But I certainly like depicting the scene with Kingdoms\Fantasy Era figs! The Castle is great, especially the tower with the red roof (I like decorated walls) The last photo is just epic! P.S. How many figs of every faction are there?

The old Horse is (was? ) iconic, but quite disproportionate and really "toy-loking". The new one will become a great new animal piece, just like new detailed cows, pigs and dogs, but... Wouldn't it be a Chinese part? We know about new horses in LOTR. What's about future castle sets or anything else related to horses? Anyway, I have plenty of old horses and they are cheap on BrickLink, so it would never become a rare fig.

The figs and their expressions are great, everything is excellent... except the colour scheme. Iе seems to me that Obi Wan is nearly naked since he's completely tan, both his robe and his skin colour.

This is probably my favoutite entry of tht contest! I really like the modularity and these little towers!

Thanks! Official LEGO Architecture sets have some problems with colours... But the Red squre is known as the Red to the whole world...) The towers in fact aren't sand red too, and I haven't much sand red parts... Maybe some parts I need do not exist in sand red. But the roof is 100% not sand green, maybe dark\bright green, not sand... Unfortunately I haven't bright\dark green cone. It's not Architect category, it's about Landmark Series. Maybe quite big for it, yet a world famous building.

Thanks! Architecture series sets are often built with SNOT. Maybe not so illegal, but quite interesting) I think rules still allow SNOT and other things like it here! The entry wouldn't be better without such things, because it would be much more simplistic and different from the original Tower... My tower in fact isn't fragile. And it's made in style of official sets, thought it's quite big for Landmark Series!

Thanks! I thought about removing the slopes. But without the slopes, the roof looks quite small and I haven't proper green pieces (jumpers). The real tower has quite curved roof.

Thanks for another early review! Maybe now it's my favourite series! Great to see re-using of some old rare parts in these figs (i haven't got most of them). I wonder how suitable the Valkyrie's hair\helmet will be for old Wikings, especially this one:
