  1. What a pleasant surprise. I just got my notice of shipping, I was on the 60 day backorder list on lego.com. I guess they found a box of them lying somewhere??
  2. For anyone in the US who got in their orders at midnight, was anyone able to get the free Creative set (over $85) automatically added into their cart? I thought it was a glitch so decided to wait until the morning, now the croc is sold out for backorder Anyways, still unable to get the free set to show up in the cart today.
  3. So I had a Darth Vader keychain in my cart since Monday. I was figuring even if the free shipping promo ended I would gladly pay the extra shipping costs to get a Revan. Anyways 9pm PST goes by because I forgot about it, ended up signing in 20 minutes later and the Revan promo is in my cart, was able to go through check out all the way to the end and the "order processing" keeps on going for 5+ minutes. Feeling defeated, I closed the window but 30 minutes later I get a confirmation email from S&H. Curious to see what happened, I check the order status page this morning and both the keychain and Revan are "In Warehouse" so hopefully this sticks. Was amazed I was still able to get one 20 minutes in. Looks like the high resale price for Revan will continue even after this promo. Hopefully tonight the Nexo Knights promo will bleed over so we can get double VIP + nexo + advent calendar in one order.
  4. Thanks. I was just trying to do the math on buying a $160 modular. In March I would get the equivalent of $16 in points and a free Ninjago poly. In April I would get only $8 in points but would get a much more valuable poly to make up for the difference and then some. I guess I should wait until April.
  5. So is the Mr. Freeze poly promo in April after a DC Super Heroes $75 min. purchase or any $75 purchase?
  6. LOL, that is the response I expected to hear and also dreaded to hear. Guess I better save up!
  7. Debating between this and the Parisian restaurant... Is this a clear winner? I think the greebling detail on the restaurant makes it more shelf worthy and a must have but the firehouse looks simply massive.

comparing it to the stock photos, I spy: backpack biceps thighs thumbs neck
  9. Here's pictures from the event today. I was quite surprised at the quality of the box. They also gave out a Super Heroes full comic book with foldout poster inside of Action Comics #1.
  10. Recently got these from Toys R Us:

Paste each pic and rotate, etc. as needed on a word doc. When done, take a screenshot of the word doc, crop, and save as one jpeg file.

Nice that they conveniently did not make the case big enough for the maersk truck and trailer that comes in the set.
  13. So the promo pictures for this promo event were just posted so I wanted to share. Wonder if it's a sticker or printed brick. I'm getting about four of these for my family, going to the game!
  14. ooh nice, thanks!
  15. I just got the Ferrrari Truck set and have been amazed by this video. Does anyone know what power functions parts I could buy to convert it like this? It doesn't look like an M motor or standard battery pack is in there, but I do see the PF receiver.
  16. I received my ABS straights pack in the mail today so I guess I'll post first. My first impressions are that they look and feel really sturdy and well built! During the assembly, everything snaps in quite well, just like brand new lego bricks. So quite the accomplishment there to get the mold right. Also snaps in well to standard lego track with no signs of stressmarks. I tried this multiple times. My findings - the dark grey is slightly lighter than the lego grey but can't really tell from a distance. The finish is non-gloss unlike the lego rails. There are also visible mold tree cuts on most of the rail ends, and I even found some stress marks in the middle of the rail but ever so slight. But when connected together, doesn't matter.

won a MISB 10013 Cargo Wagon for $40 shipped. It's officially the oldest sealed set I own now. Also got 79111 Constitution Train Chase for $55 shipped from successfully applying stacking promotions at Target.
  18. That is great use of a spanner wrench accessory as well.
  19. I keep the straight track pieces on my bricklink wanted list. So when browsing for other stuff, sometimes I pickup a few from a seller and tack it onto my existing order if he is selling those for $2 or less. I've accumulated much track that way for cheap, slowly but surely. And yeah, my recent ME models kickstarter order added to that significantly. My layout now easily trespasses into my hallway! To the OP's point, I love my HE. But it's expensive because you have to buy two, and you have to buy two motors to pull the entire thing (and also mod the other trucks to remove the high friction technic wheels). There's really no way around the sheer price of the thing. But it's the best electric passenger train Lego has made so far, and I doubt there will be another one made within the next two Creator Expert Train design cycles because they will probably revisit a steam and diesel engine for the next ones.
  20. The electronic speed controllers on R/C cars make the same exact sound as well.
  21. Haven't found any at my Targets or Walmarts but my local TRU always has a ton of them on the racks and also at the counter.
  22. My Target and TRU always seems to have good stock of these (and I am assuming they have plenty in their national stock as well). They aren't moving.
  23. BL'ed the comic-con micro fighters (the best ones)
  24. Just backed for $35 for the straights. This is a great deal for just the straights!
  25. I cut and paste the images into word, then you can place them wherever you want, copy/paste, mirror, etc. Then when you are done, take a screenshot and then upload the picture to your user CP.
