  1. Hi guys! It's been so much time... and we're still going! I'd love to share some illustration we've made last year: Last winter I also had a personal theme: Space minifigs as fashion! There's a lot more at the source (over 100 even!) Since last time I posted here I made a special gallery for the project at http://surmalegobros.com where I invite you all to play with sorting by themes and decades... and authors even. If you'd like to be kept in the loop (we're still delivering new illustrations every two weeks!) we also have a facebook fanpage at http://facebook.com/surmabros Hope you like these! Cheers! xulm PS: Freddy -- come to think of it we already had a Monster Fighters 9468 illustration as a guest entry (http://surmalegobros...t/haunted-house)!
  2. Thanks y'all! Sure! But do keep in mind that we're looking for non-space suggestions (we've had more than enough of them already -- I love the space themes so much that if I was left undisturbed I'd just draw a space set after a space set untill they are all done. THEN I'd redraw them one by one. Several times. ) So -- any favourite sets? Obscure ones? (and preferably smaller ones) Actually, come to think of it, we're quite close to completing both blacktrons -- two or three sets each! It shouldn't be that surprising considering what I said about my love for LEGO space, though. I can't say it will happen anytime soon, but still: Believe me, it won't be the only one such picture on surmalegobros for long. (and I'm having a lot of fun with it) Cheers! PS Oh, and by the way: This week's entry! set 6258 by Kasia Kruszyńska (guest appearance)
  3. Thanks! We got another illustration since last time: Spyrius Robo Guardian!
  4. Thanks! Yesterday we held a little vote on our facebook fanpage: which minifig we should draw next -- well, Basil the Batlord was the people's choise!
  5. Hi! Some of you might have already stumbled on some of our illustrations on the Internet -- hello to those familiar faces! My name is Marcin/xulm and I am, along with my brother Przemek/Surpiko, responsible for the Sur m'ale Gobros. artblog. (And for those of you, who didn't stumble on us: Every single Sunday we make an illustration based on a specific LEGO set / minifig and upload it on our blog) We've hit 2 year / 100 sets mark lately and thought it's a good time to share our work further -- so here we are! Here, have some samples of what we've been doing so far (for obvious reasons we won't be attaching every single image here. Do visit the blog or our flickr account): Cheers!
  6. Awesome! From both sides.

Everything is amazing here... But the liferafts? That's ingenious! It's probably the first time I saw space lifeboats looking like they should. In any media, not only MOCs.

Very nostalgic -- I love all thise old school bricks and every single visible stud!

    Love the flat dish!
  10. xulm replied to Devid's post in a topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I actually prefer this one over the first, probably because of the more orthodox bricks.

I'm not too keen on the minifigs, but the station insides and the environment look great!

Oh my, that's so cute! Sand plays great with the m-tron colour scheme! Napping mtronfig steals the show, though.

Thanks, guys! (Especially thank you, WaysofSorting -- Finding a long time fan is one of the things that makes all this surmalegobros work worth it!) Cheers!
  14. Hi! My name is Marcin (some of you might know me already from the Surmalegobros illustration blog) I had fun doing a couple of space MOCs some time ago, though nowadays I mostly just draw vintage LEGO sets along with my brother (I wonder if there's a niche of fan illustrators here in the forums I can fit in). I love Space, Castle and mostly everything LEGO related from the 20th century. Cheers!
