  1. At TRU Carre senart near Paris (France), all new Friends sets are available... I suppose we could find them at the other TRUs.
  2. I saw it at the Lille (France) Lego store last Saturday, but unfortunately only on display in a glass case and not yet to sale. I liked it. I saw it at the Lille (France) Lego store last Saturday, but unfortunately only on display in a glass case and not yet to sale. I liked it.
  3. Yes I have MOCed my vacation home... But only in LDD, I have not yet all the parts. Pictures soon.
  4. well received.. quite happy, the minifigs are awesome!!
  5. Just ordered a set of 16 on amazon.de
  6. Unfortunately I left the dark ages too late and I missed the three first sets (CC, MS and GG), and they are currently too expensive for me, but I have all the remaining ones. I nevertheless built a MS but by changing the main colours (orange instead of blue) in order to decrease the price of the required inventory. I bought 3 TH, one for building the model, the both ohers for having parts for mocs, and I bought 2 GE to do an XL model.
  7. Hi, please find here my entry for the LDD contest I wanted a house that shares several universes, not through spatiotemporal portals ;-), but actually on a real small surface. The three universes thus correspond to three elements: water, rock and organic/earth. In this house, you may live three experiences: under water, in a cave and in a tree. The main entrance is in the rock and discloses to the floor in a kitchen and a small shower. The main entrance also gives access to a terrace and then you can descend into the living room which is under water. Upstairs, past the shower, you take a small bridge to access the bedroom in a tree. There are also two other possible outputs, by the tree or under water. The first challenge was to build on a 32 x 32 baseplate divided into 4 equal parts (16 x 16): the cave part, the underwater part and the part in the tree, plus a free marine part. The second challenge was to produce a funny playable set compatible with minifigs, not too difficult to build, with a reasonable number of parts (here 1581 bricks) not too rare and relatively easily available (except a few such as the transparent parts). Because if I do not have the opportunity to currently build the model with real parts (I do not have the inventory), I do not despair of doing it in a close or less close future. As such, if other forumers can achieve it and post pictures, I would be very grateful. I also encourage others to do the rendering from the LXF file attached. To enjoy the sea, don't forget to use the airlock. Check the air pressure before entering into the airlock after a bath, then well close the hatch before entering into the living room, and reciprocally. Enjoy your stay in the three-elements house. And do not forget to feed the octopus.

  9. I'm close to complete the MS, and as most of you, I decided to significantly mod the original model because of the problem of price and availability of many parts. Actually I changed the dark blue in orange and the sand blue in yellow in the LDD model, and I like the result, and by checking my inventory I had the good surprise to see that I already have more than 80% of the required parts, at least for the building (I abandoned the project to build the left market part... OK, it will be not a real market Street ). I also will follow the Sin's idea about fences and balconies, quite smart! I'll post pictures when the model will be finished.
  10. Available at Lego store at Lille (France). I bought it yesterday.

Such an awesome creation explains why I left the dark ages.
  13. The scale is a standard one, compatible with minifigs, as for all modulars. And the scale is thus also compatible with Friends minidolls because Friends sets also use standard parts, doors, windows, etc.. The main difference, especially with City series, are the used colours. I confess nevertheless that the modular houses are not fully child-proof, especially for the youngest kids. The size of the rooms and the height of walls are not well playable. Semi-open buildings, as shown the official sets (as well for Friends as for City) are more adequate. The modulars (official or MOCs) are indeed quite expensive. An alternative solution could be to use standard bricks (e.g., from 10660 or 5660 or 4625 sets) that have the Friends colours in order to build small (semi-open?) houses and to use small Friends official sets (e.g., Andrea's bedroom - 41009, Stephanie's kitchen - 3930, Mia's bedroom - 3939) that can provide furniture and accessories for interiors.
  14. Thanks. But I still have to improve. I am far from having the talent of many MOCers present on this forum as Snaillad, Kristel, timmyc1983, Vincent Kessels and many others, who strongly motivate this current hobby and I that I left the dark ages.
  15. YES.... Despicable me with potentially numerous collectible minions!
