  3. EDIT: I fixed all the security warnings, so I've removed those screen prints. The file still won't load though. I just loaded LDD Manager, and it will not load my small LDD file. I'm running Vista Home Premium with all updates, and using the A2003 Runtime you link to. I'm also running Office 2000 Premium, including Access 2000, in case that's an issue. I did not receive any errors when I installed the A2003 Runtime, and have rebooted the system. I am logged on as the administrator. Here's what happens: When I open my LDD file, I receive these errors: Finally, I recieve this error, which repeats infinitely until I kill the LDD process: When I reopen LDD Manager, the LDD BOM page shows this: Here is the full-size image, so you can actually read it. The Re-Import link does not click. When I use the button and import the file again, I get the same errors as above. Here is the LDD file I'm trying to import. I'm an application developer too (since long before Win existed), so I know how frustrating the process can be. Thanks for all your hard work on our behalf! Peter
  4. 5958 Mummy's Tomb - Theme: Adventurers (Desert) This is an LDD 4 model. 5958 Mummy's Tomb The set is complete except for theme-specific parts: 1) The printed pieces and minifigures have no patterns 2) The car's windshield has been substituted for current parts The brick-built sarcophagus cover was made by Calabar.
  5. Roob, Be sure you read the coupon/flier very carefully. The BOGOs in our area have all excluded Pharaoh's Quest and Series 3 Minifigures . I don't expect that will change until after Christmas. Peter

  8. Other than the ones you corrected, all the colors were perfect Thanks very much for your help! I've changed the colors and uploaded the new LXF file. The Peeron conversion list is exactly what I was looking for. Peter
  9. 7306 - Golden Staff Guardians - Theme: Pharaoh's Quest This is an LDD 4 model. 7306 Golden Staff Guardians The set is complete except for theme-specific parts: 1) The Golden Staff, Khepesh swords and Scarab shields have been replaced with stock parts 2) The minifigure colors are correct, but without patterns EDIT: I've fixed the colors, found the missing part, and embedded the image. Thanks everyone for the help and advice! Peter

I was just trying to search for the words color conversion, and the search only included conversion. So I tried with just the word color, and I got this message: The following search terms are not allowed and were removed from your query: color Why is the word color not allowed? What I'm trying to find is a conversion between the colors Bricklink's inventories use, and what LDD shows when you choose a color. For instance, BL uses light tan and dark tan to describe the bricks of the structure in 7306 Golden Staff Guardians, but LDD does not list those colors. Thanks! Peter
  11. EDIT: I've just done the steps in Superkalle's post #75, and it worked! Before finding that, I'd done all of it except Step 3. So apparently that's what did the trick. Peter
  12. I'm surprised it gets harder to remove with time. I use a Sharpie a lot while I'm building plastic scale models, and have never had any problem removing it, even if the model takes months to build. I use 91% Isopropyl, which is readily available as a cosmetic remover in the US. Maybe the stronger solution works better than the 70%. Lego ABS may react differently than the styrene in the model kits. Peter
  13. To each his own! The first time I went hunting, I picked two Wrestlers by accident. The Wrestler is probably the least favorite of all the figures for me, and the Crash Test Dummy is the best. I'd offer to swap, but the postage and mailer would cost more than picking up another one from TRU Peter
  14. My local TRU doesn't mind me matching barcodes at all. The first day, before I'd created my barcode list, I just compared them by eye. The staff wondered what I was doing, but left me alone. I explained about the barcodes, and they though it was neat. The second morning, I came back with my list, and made another set matching the list. When I explained to the cashier that I'd scanned all the codes, matched them to the figures, and created the list, he thought I was nuts So I just told him hey, I'm an IT guy, so this is what I do for fun. Today I noticed about a half dozen unopened boxes on the overstock shelf above the regular Lego aisle, so I could probably get a full box if I wanted to. Peter
  15. Here's the latest Barcode Cheat Sheet update. EDIT I've returned from TRU with the missing figures, and the cheat sheet has been updated with their barcodes. If you've already grabbed the sheet, grab it again from the link above to get the final version. Happy hunting! Peter
  16. Glad you got it to work. I figured it was about time I actually contributed something to this great forum Hopefully I'll be able to add the Clown and Indian tomorrow. First thing in the morning will be a better time to paw through the boxes than this evening, with all the kids and parents around. I'm also going to bring a copy to give to the manager, in case he wants to post it. You never know! Peter The entire series is listed under one UPC code, the code that's on every package. The number is 6 73419 13047 9. They all ring up with that UPC. I don't know the individual bag codes, since there's no human-readable text under them, and I don't have a barcode reader. I downloaded an iPhone app to read barcodes, but I've got an older 3G phone, and the camera isn't good enough to photograph them. Guess it's time to get a new one Peter
  17. Can you describe what you mean by a "spamming website"? The link is to my local cable / internet provider, Metrocast. I haven't had any spam problems with them over the past 10 years. I have no other online storage. The image is far too large to post directly here, 3000 x 2250 pixels and 1.2mb. Any smaller, and the barcodes will begin to lose resolution. Peter
  18. Here is a cheat sheet for the US barcodes. UPDATED: See post #1185 for the most recent information. US Barcodes Well, most of the US barcodes. My barcode reading isn't the best, because I ended up with two repeats, and missing two figures. I missed the Indian and the Clown, and got an extra Magician and Wrestler. I'll be back at TRU tomorrow morning to find the Clown and Indian. Once I get them, I'll revise the list. Peter
  19. To update my own posting, TRU in Portsmouth NH has the minifigs! The LEGO vendor was stocking the shelves when I got there. The boxes of figures are on the checkout stands. The store personnel didn't mind me going through the box looking at barcodes. They didn't know there's a way to tell what's in the bags, so I told them about the second barcode on each bag. I'll be un-bagging my figures this afternoon, so if nobody beats me to it, I'll post the US barcodes. Peter
  20. Apparently the Lego Store manager here was being pessimistic in saying they wouldn't appear early. Or maybe the Lego Stores will be the last retailers to get them. I'm running errands near TRU this morning, so I'll stop and check, but they probably haven't gotten this far east yet. You're lucky your TRU starts Lego at MSRP. The ones around here start it about 10% over MSRP and never lower it. Peter
  21. I just got back from the "local" Lego Store (only an hour and a half away), and the manager says they'll have them out for sale on June 1, regardless of what the calendar says. She thinks there's a small chance they'll be available the last week of May, but not to count on it. She also thinks the Space Shuttle will be there the first week of June, despite S@H showing the 30th. Man, my bad back is going to hate all those round trips Peter
  22. The Lego Store calendar for the Burlington, MA store has the minifigs shown on the week of June 21. We're going to visit the store on Tuesday, so we'll ask. Peter
  23. Thanks, guys. Much as I love a sale, the trip halfway around the world would probably make it non cost-effective Peter
  24. Thanks for the heads-up, but what country is this in? Peter

That's a great Turtle, Phred Do you have an LDD file, or parts list, or construction photos of it? I'd love to build myself one. Peter
