Love it! Got me all giddy!
  2. Nice work! Looks great!
  3. Sounds like a good theory to me! Dk gray and black CAN be a big problem, heck I've even had problems with tan vs. yellow (in 8043 no less, the three tan axle connectors in the gear box accidentally got yellow)...
  4. Looking good so far! Hey, neat!
  5. ...and when you realize you want a third axle here's how to do it: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=51679&view=findpost&p=919869
  6. Well done! Glad to see some great small MOCs, it's quite a challenge to fit stuff in. Love the "custom" pump and how it's stored away when not in use.
  7. Nice tank! Glad to see someone taking the threat of "cuddly teddy lamb"-invasion seriously! Looks like great fun!
  8. 12V on the motors is generally safe, as long as you keep the heat down (I've used 18V on the 71427c01 Electric, Motor 9V Mini-Motor with out destroying anything - and a pure LEGO solution too). 12V on the IR-receiver works but is bad for the circuits, they might fry or get a considerably shorter life span.
  9. Jennifer: I tried to send a welcome back to you but the PM-message is not active yet (you need more posts). I just wanted to say it's a pleasure to see your name again!
  10. Have you considered using the bb339c01 Electric, Pole Reverser? Of course this would mean that the LED is always lit on the battery pack, but with a converter cable you could perhaps use the old style small 9V battery box? Or just use the old style 9V components all the way for that matter...
  11. I had to turn of sigs here on EB, it was too much work blocking all the thumbnails with adblocker... I have not made a proper MOC since 2003, but post it all here: http://lotekbricks.blogspot.com/
  12. I did play it when it first came out, but did not know it still was so popular. I can hardly remember any of the units but this WIP rings quite a few bells and is looking absolutely stunning!
  13. Neat, clever thinking and well done! How much "twist" does it store in the general sloppiness? Would it be a problem to keep the different wheel-sets in parallel? Perhaps the suspension parts can be made of pneumatic cylinders that are connected to each other? Firmness can be adjusted by increasing the pressure in the common system and an air-tank or two can act as suspension reservoir - if all the hoses won't be enough. If all the wheel-sets are connected tube wise there would also be some pressure sharing amongst them, so some sort of controlled suspension if you will. Not all four of the suspension legs need be pneumatic either, there can be a mix.
  14. The Power Puller one, but with a Fabuland sheep head.
  15. And of course, if you're hungry just fire upp the barbie!
  16. For screen shots of computer programs and such: png For screen shots of things looking like photos: jpg I usually don't go bigger than 750 px on the width. (and I absolutely hate the GUI on Flickr so I try to stay as far away as I can - which is kinda hard since most AFOL's put their photos there. I prefer Picasa myself.)

Safety notice: Please keep all limbs within the transporter at all times. Well done!
  18. That worked out great! Well done!
  19. Oh, some really pretty modules in there! Especially the castle themed ones but also the ones looking like tractors etc..
  20. Speaking of iceberg... This is me while biking to work yesterday, a tad cold. -17°C (1.4°F), not to bad on it's own but ad the wind chill for biking... Pretty pretty though!
  21. Well it's not a tire but it's definitely larger. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x784

Lovely! Instant recognition with so few bricks, well done! The sextant is brilliant!
  23. Fun! Looks like a variant to Brendan Powell Smiths Ultimate LEGO Vehicle-contest: http://www.thereverend.com/lego/ulv/ 1) Build a vehicle at the venue (or bring one from home). Include a driver. 2) Judge the vehicles based on looks. 3) Which can roll the furthest? 4) Which is the fastest down the ramp? 5) Which can jump the longest distance? Measure to where the driver comes to a rest. 6) In all the events above, which looses the least amount of bricks? We've been doing this in Sweden for quite a while now, here's a couple of videos from the latest events: Comp starts at 7:02, jumps start at 8:26: Comp starts at 0:45, jumps start at 5:05 (but there are quite a few crashes before that as well):
