    Modular Toy Store

I added some bricks from my spare stock (windows, black and blue bricks). But I tried to use as many bricks from the games as possible. At the end I had used all of the green and lime bricks and tiles.

    New Town

No interiors yet. I want to have the roofs come off, but I don't have any yellow or white tiles at the moment . So when I get them I will make removeable roofs for the houses. I took a picture of the toy store next to my hospital and the grand emporium. As you can see, I also badly need tiles for the pavement

    New Town

Thought it was time to update this topic after (almost) finishing my Toy Store (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=74776). To get a little break after that modular, I decided to start building some houses for my suburbs. I wanted my minifigs to live in a simple, quiet neighborhood. I have spent many holidays in Skagen, Denmark, and have always admired the yellow townhouses for the unity they show when put together. Therefore I wanted to base my suburbs on those houses. I have created two fast and simple houses. I want to do about 8-10 and a little church, so I can combine them in different ways. Enjoy! Inspiration 1st house 2nd house And the two combined in different ways

    Black Convertibles

I really like them. Especially the first one, even though the black doesn't show of the nice curves very well.

Thanks for all the nice comments. So I just finished the interior of the ground and 1st floor. As I don't own many spare tiles, I was kind of stuck with the tiles included in the Lego Games. Hope you like it. Entrance Ground Floor 1st Floor

Here are the pictures of the finished exterior of the building. First the finished facade The back A close up of the dumpster And last but not least...... The roof. (I wanted to use a suitable red door, but could't find one at the moment. When I come across one, the white door will be replaced) Those are actually not 1x6x5 panels, but a 8 brick wide wall. I thought about adding big windows there, but thought the windows on the top floors would be enough. Next up will be the interior!

You won't have to wait for long, as I just completed the second floor and the roof. I will post pics as soon as possible. Thanks. It's just a shame it's the dirty version of Lotso. I also hope to use some of the other Toy Story characters to spice up the interior.

    Modular Toy Store

Thanks! The doors are sliding between two walls, on lime green tiles. No sophisticating techniques used there.. To prevent them from getting stuck in the hole between the walls, they can't be opened any further than shown on the picture.

    Modular Toy Store

Okay, 1st update. Last night I finished most of the ground floor. I still need to do the interior and tile the pavement. I have already used 28 microfigs... only 86 to go !! I have tried to use as little pieces, other than the pieces from the Lego Games. Entrance: With sliding doors! Top view Back view Close up of the stairs and back door.
  11. I just visited my local toy store and was pleasantly surprised that almost all LEGO Games sets were on big discount. So I decided to pick up a few to make a modular mostly out of the sets. The shopping list consists of: - 5 Minotaurus. 8 euro each - 2 Ninjago, 10 euro each - 1 City Alarm, 5 euro (it was the only one) - 1 Lunar Command, 8 euro (ditto), 271 pcs - 1 Heroica Fortaan, 10 euro - 1 Heroica Nathuz, 8 euro This all for a total sum of 91 euro's! For 2584 pieces, including 5 green and 1 gray 32x32 baseplates and 114!!! microfigures! So I thought, what better way to get rid of all those hideous microfigures than to build a modular store for them to be sold. I hope to post some pics of the progress during the weekend. Comments and requests are welcome!

    New Town

Thanks all for the replies. I don't think it is considered modular as it is open backed. By the way, the black guy guarding the club is ' black dynamite'.

    New Town

Thanks for all the nice comments and advices. I decided to take a break on the harbour to build something else. I always wanted a hospital in my city, but everytime I started one, it just ended up looking like sh*t. Now I finally managed to finish one that I am happy with. Except for the waiting room It hasn't got an interior yet. Enjoy!
