batman.lego.com
Well, it re-directs to Lego.com so at least that shows that Lego still owns the domain. If they didn't still own the domain I would take that as a pretty strong indicator we'll never see Batman sets again. As it is, there's just question marks now.

I miss Blacktron,Space Police,Ice Planet and Spyrius
Personally I haven't given up hope that Blacktron III is coming. First there's the little hints they've dropped with the collectible mini-fig and one of the aliens in the SP III set. Those kinds of hints aren't unusual for Lego to drop well in advance. I think it was well over a year ago that they had the Captain Jack figure hidden in with their Prince of Persia display at a toy convention and now we've got PotC. I think they probably floated the idea of bringing back Blacktron sometime around when they started developing Space Police III. Remember though that they set their lineups at least a year in advance; they could very well be putting the finishing touches on Blacktron III for 2012 and we wouldn't know about it yet. I'm not entirely sure of the sales success or failure of Space Police III but I can't imagine that it was so bad that they would completely preclude a shot at Blacktron III.

Star Wars: OT vs. PT vs. TCW
What about when he murdered a whole ton of Tusken Raiders on Tatooine, fell in love (opening himself up to more emotions), and decapitated Dooku?

Star Wars: OT vs. PT vs. TCW
There would obviously changes that would need to be made to make 1 and 2 work as a combined movie. For one, you could drop meeting Anakin as a young kid and jump into his teen/pre-teen years. Keep the important parts still which between those movies are: Palpatine becomes chancellor, Clone War starts, Palpatine is granted emergency powers. For the greater story those are the important things to keep, everything else is really just extra. As far as the reason I would want Force Unleashed as the basis for the third movie, its because it delves into the story of the rebel alliance, it gives a rare glimpse of vader trying to overthrow palpatine (or is he?), and other assorted interesting aspects of bridging the prequel trilogy and original trilogy. Much more so than just jumping from Luke/Leia being born to Leia bringing death star plans to the alliance.

Star Wars: OT vs. PT vs. TCW
Ever since I played The Force Unleashed I really have felt like that could/should have been the third movie from the prequel trilogy. Condense 1 and 2 into a single movie (pretty easy considering how little happens in both of them) then Force Unleashed's story is episode 3 which leads into original trilogy. The only problem though is that the original trilogy makes it very clear that the entire Star Wars film saga is from a Skywalker's point of view and is very Skywalker-driven. Initially, it's Anakin, then Luke. The problem with Force Unleashed is that the main protagonist isn't a Skywalker but on the other hand, the story (from the first Force Unleashed only) is just so damn good.

Follow the white rabbit
Not happening anymore actually. The Aliens prequels that were planned have now been turned into a different franchise called Prometheus. http://www.slashfilm.com/ridley-scotts-alien-prequel-longer-alien-prequel-prometheus-starring-noomi-rapace/

LEGO in Film & TV: Index of Appearances
I used to have that phone! That's more than a Lego display actually. It's a shot of the Lego Store at Mall of America (it was actually called Lego Land when it first opened but I imagine they changed the name when they opened the Lego Land theme park to avoid confusion). It was just recently remodeled to look more like the other Lego retail stores but the shot from the movie is mostly what it looked like since the mall opened until about 6 months ago. They had done some incremental remodels from time to time such as moving the registers a few times but it stayed mostly like that for the longest time. Those large clear cylinders were usually filled with displays of not just one set but multiple sets from a theme but into one big display. It was much more creative and interesting than what they do now with the displayed sets. I have a lot of nostalgia from that store and even though it's still there it doesn't feel the same since it was remodeled.

Do you think Lego is insanely overpriced for a good reason?
The fact that even after rigorous play Legos can last for 20-30 years or more makes them more than worth the money. Not many other toys can honestly claim that kind of durability. And no, I don't think its just because of their nature as a building toy because that other company's building toys do break.

MOC: Octan Metro Park & Service Tower
Love it! Octan Metro Park and Service tower was one of my favorite sets when I was a kid. A big reason why is it was one of the first "big" set my parents had bought me. I still managed to hang on to it mostly complete for about 20 years. I was lucky enough to find someone on brick link selling the set incomplete for pretty cheap. Between the 2 sets I was more or less able to recreate it. Still one of my favorites though.

Space Police III in 2011?
I would absolutely love a Blacktron III but I know my wallet wouldn't. The nostalgia factor for me would pull me into it like no other theme.

Space Police 2010
It was a Target exclusive that, unlike most store exclusives, was only available for a very short period of time. I think it was in stores for about 3 months or so, could be wrong on that number. I do know for sure that I used to go to my local Lego store on a monthly basis and I only saw it there once. I do know that I definitely regret not getting when I could, I kept telling myself I'd pick it up when it got cheap but then it just disappeared, seemingly overnight.
