Location: D02, Barker's Folly Tags: Exploration It's hard not to be impressed by the natural beauty of this asteroid belt, all the awesomnium ripe for the picking doesn't hurt either... I don't do many all LEGO scenes, usually opting for a complete 'model' rather than an immersive picture, so this was rather fun

Location: D02-Barker's Folly Tags: Science, exploration. Dr.Arvan 'Yrich Arkov's personal log: "Here I am, on a secret flight headed to the rocky maze of Barker's Folly. I'm not allowed to speak to anyone nor exit from my cabin (cell?). All I was told is that I was needed for scientific advice about a strictly classified matter on that blasted asteroid belt, and that if I refused "they" would have been happy to neuralyse me. i wasn't exactly eager to leave my work on Guinevere, but I'll die before letting anyone play with my memory! And I even feel a bit of nausea; it never rains, it pours sulphuric acid." General Vrayne: "Get up Doc, almost there!" Dr.Arvan: "I had figured it out, thanks. I can't hear the propulsor hummng anymore. Is there any chance you'll let me peek through the window? Or is that forbidden too, as is " thinking too aloud"? 'Cause that's what one of your men said." General Vrayne: "Sorry Doc, but this matter requires discretion. Though I think it's safe to let you have a look, here." Dr.Arvan: "..." General Vrayne: "Whaddya think?" Dr.Arvan: "When did you find it?" General Vrayne: "A few days ago. It hasn't moved since." Dr.Arvan: "He's probably in some kind of self-induced suspended animation. Is it doing what it looks like it's doing?" General Vrayne: "It looks so. That guy is eating Awesomnium." 20150619_215617[1] by tropeaferdinando, su Flickr 20150619_215623[1] by tropeaferdinando, su Flickr 20150619_215627[1] by tropeaferdinando, su Flickr 20150619_215632[1] by tropeaferdinando, su Flickr 20150619_215650[1] by tropeaferdinando, su Flickr 20150619_215657[1] by tropeaferdinando, su Flickr 20150619_215137[1] by tropeaferdinando, su Flickr (I know the rules say "minimal overhang", but the tentacles would actually fit in the 24x24 base if the flexible tubes I used weren't... well, so flexible.) Proof: Proof by tropeaferdinando, su Flickr I totally understad if the judges will disqulify this (though I hope not) and I thank them for this awesome challenge!

Location: D02 - Barker's Folly Tags: Military, Spying, Science. Does torturing enemy spies count as spying? M.A.N.T.I.S Special Forces log: Myra Dynarski [Off Duty] 6 Junali 3815, M.A.N.T.I.S. spaceship in the Barker's Folly asteroid belt. Previous entry Note: The following has been recorded following standard interrogation procedures, in case information gained from the subject turns out to be useful. However, this recording is to be considered the private property of Special Agent Myra Dynarski, and not to be opened by anyone with less than clearance level 5, and then only if neccessary. [Permission granted for Special Agent Chet Darjak to access recording for personal use] -Commence recording- "Thank you, Chet. Cardioimpetus rubiflora is my favourite species of flower. Because it's poisonous, obviously. Help yourself to the wine. And the knives." "Aaaaaah! I'll tell you anything! You haven't even asked any questions! Aaaaah!" "Shame all the interrogation rooms were in use." "Whose lab is this, anyway?" "I think it's Big Sal's." "I'm sure he won't mind." "Yeah... I hope that blood isn't dripping on anything important." "Who do you work for? Is it Octan?" "Aaaah! No! We were independent explorers mapping the gravitational anomalies in the Andromeda galaxy! Our spaceship crashed years ago!" "I don't believe you. I think you work for Octan." "Aaaah! Yes, whatever you say! I work for clock man!" "Octan." "Aaah! Octan! Whoever! Aaaah!"

Open Log: Pangolinus recording. I've entered the Barker's Folly asteroid belt. Awesomium was reported to be in the area. My current location is above an asteroid with what appears to several large caverns. This seems like a good time to test the maneuverability of the new MANTIS F.L.I. (Fast Lightweight Interceptor) Ending the transmission now. Entering the cavern. The F.L.I by itself. C&c appreciated! MANTIS shall dominate the Galaxy!

Log: 26 Maian 3815 Location: Barker's Folly D02 Asteroid Belt Begin Log: Just arrived at Barker's Folly from Torresta. I plan to scout out the area and try to find the areas richest with awesomnium. I'll also collect some rock samples to send back to the lab. The M.A.N.T.I.S. Stryker is the perfect choice for this mission. Compact enough to weave between the asteroids yet large enough to defend itself against any danger it might face! The Stryker only needs its single aft propulsor to zoom to its objective! In depth analysis of the scouting craft: Just found an awsomnium vein! Time to report back to home base! End Log.
