A remodeled exploration droid, the EXP-0913 is now a fighting mech. With modifications to the sensor suite it is able to detect electrical and hydraulic pressure changes and react to an opponent's actions almost instantly. The hands have been removed and replaced with rounded club like appendages meant to simulate the old Earth boxing gloves. Though it might look top-heavy the large feet provide a solid platform and the fast reaction time mean that it shouldn't be taking many hits. 16x16 grid:

On Farmolis's Famous Octan Olympic Arena, where all the best and brightest athletes have come to train! Including none other than Dr. Danielle Long, who was surprised to wake up to a holo-mail from CEO Pombe, requesting her presence at the games... on penalty of forfeiture of shares... Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Engineer: "Well, madam, as you can see, the core and engine are fully functional. She's operating at 95% Target output." Dr. Long: "Hmm... That's unacceptable. Tighten that nozzle, adjust the location of that fuel pump, and reconfigure the wiring. Bring it up to 100% Target Output, or I will find someone who can." Engineer: "If only... Triple H were here..." Dr. Long: "He is not here. Do what must be done." Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Dr. Long: "Why are these not assembled? Engineer: "Well, you see, there's a real funny story about that..." Dr. Long: "I did not come here to listen to funny stories. I came here to assess your craftsmanship, and right now, I'd say it's certainly lacking." Engineer: "I'm waiting on Pneumatics to supply me with the gas repressurizer! I can't do final assembly until they get me that pressurizer!" Dr. Long: "Stop looking for excuses. I'll deal with Pneumatics... And as for you... pack your things. I'll add finding a suitable replacement to my agenda. That shouldn't be too hard, I don't think." Engineer: "No, please! I've got a wife and three kids!" Dr. Long: "No you don't. In your file it says you're "Single and ready to mingle." Engineer: "Well, I want a wife and three kids eventually..." Dr. Long: "Get out." Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Dr. Long: "And what seems to be the holdup here!" Software Specialist: "I'm giving her all she's got, Doctor, but I can't access tha damn file to download!" Dr. Long: "Honestly, the incompetence I have to put up with on a daily basis. Clappy, access file Zoology_AI_Bullfrog.exe. This is Doctor Long, code blue entry, pass 98765. "You got it, boss!" Dr. Long: "Finally, someone who follows my orders." Later...... Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr "Finally, I have my competition entry assembled. When I designed these schematics, I modeled her after the robots I use to collect samples underwater... and then I gave her legs because that was an entry requirement. Honestly I just want to get this over with so that I can continue doing science, but perhaps I can bring glory to the great Octan Corporation by performing above average in this contest. After all, I am a perfectionist. No one will stand my way when I set my mind to something. Now, Let's get this baby started. Lil' Longlegs, please initiate Start Sequence." Octan Olympics! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr "Perfect." About the Mech: In professional Mech Wrestling contests, Mechs of this nature (long legs, hunched torso) are frowned upon, but not outruled. Typically they are seen used by "Heel" Performers, as their use is considered... underhanded. The long legs are seen as an unfair advantage, since they add to the balance and leverage of the robot when wrestling... but as they say, the higher they stand, the harder they fall... Dr. Long knows none of this, though, as she only read the exact rules, and has never actually watched or participated in a mech contest. She didn't think to overview any of the ... unspoken rules... after all. Rules are made to be spoken. That said, Dr. Long wouldn't particularly care if she found out. If it's in the rules, it's legal, and if it gives her an advantage, well... too bad. Obstacle courses in the Andromeda Olympics are a lot more challenging than ones one earth. For one thing, these races have very low gravity. For another it's in an asteroid field. Imagine running through a sand storm, but instead of sand, it's boulders and small mountains. And there's no solid ground to be found anywhere. All existing pieces. C&C welcome!

Centuries ago athletes would shoot low caliber firearms at targets ranging from 10, 50 to 300 meters away. As time passed the distances increased to where we are today. Athletes fire from a landing pad at passing asteroids over 30km away. The weapons are high powered kinetic energy weapons. With extremely high powered scopes they fire a shot, then head home to see if it hits hours later. long day today, so my weekly build may be late tonight, keep this build simple before I head out!

This build is for Challenge 5 - The Space Olympic Games (Category E) Since this was my first attempt at an Olympic venue, I wanted to include the AG Olympic Rings. This event is Zero -Gravity table tennis it is played with two tables (one on the "floor" and one on the "ceiling". The table tennis paddle is now a handle and a ring with a force field for the hitting surface. This particular round of competition is Dr. Steven Quin Livingston (in the black with blue gloves) representing Kawashita vs. Peter Davids (in the grey and green) representing Mantis. Additional images can be found here. Comments and criticism are welcome.

Agent Lotus got the mission in the early hours of the morning. Simple infiltration job. With the Space Olympic Games Land Race event starting soon he had to make sure this went to plan. It was easy enough to find the speeder, and its pilot never expected an attack. He'd wake up with a heck of a headache by the end of the day, plenty of time to use his credentials and enter the race.

Ok, I'm going to cut the chase: I have no idea what the hell this thing is, or what it's supposed to be! And I helped build it! And the name isn't anything useful either, EFW just stand for Engine, Frame, Wheels. Size Proof: This thing turned out Bizarre! C&C welcome!

Austina Anteca thought of herself as a pretty funny person. The life of the party, in her mind. So when it was time to name her vehicle for the race, she decided to name it after a famously slow creature from Earth. She thought that was hilarious. Thanks for reading! C&C welcome! Turns out that what looks like a clip at the front of the spiders holding the entire thing together is not actually a clip, so this has a nasty habit of randomly springing apart. That's why I got sick of fiddling with it and posted early

Aryna here, I've been given this ship to race in the Andromeda Olympics. The engineering department proved they aren't great with names during the boat race, so this thing was delivered without a name. Eh, no matter! I've taken to calling it the Blastcore. Supposedly the technology in that big ol' engine casing is classified, so all I know about it's propulsion. Maybe I'll plug myself into the OS later. Anyway, time to fire this thing up! (My photo skills need some work) Size Proof 12x8 I won't be able to take this apart now. I'd feel I was wasting stickers! C&C welcome!

The OC.21 range of Octan Corp spaceships is known for its exclusive looks and aggressive feel. Only affordable to the wealthy its rarely seen and when it shows up, it turns heads. The R-type in particular has the strongest OC production engines available, which gives it not only a lot of "potential" to the wealthy executives, but its power and speed is so top notch even G.A.R.C. racers fight for it. OC saw the potential early and founded their own team. Max Verbricks is their primary driver. Max Verbricks in his OC.21 R-type Max Verbricks in his OC.21 R-type again Aaaaand another flyby

Fred Ratulon was a terrible pilot. One of the worst anyone had ever seen. But when he applied to be part of the M.A.N.T.I.S. GARC team with the top of the line racer his extremely wealthy parents had bought for him, no one was going to turn him down. Even when they heard he'd named it FR3D... Thanks for reading! The Chūrippu 502 is the hottest rod of the whole Kawashita GARC fleet. It is sponsored by Zumbi Media, Stark Industries, and a range of other Kawashita-affiliated corporations, laboratories, and organizations. The Chūrippu 502 was designed by Dr. Asuka Ross and her husband Malachi Ross, both based on Mars. The design was perfected in Mars orbit, put through its paces in every major GARC qualification track in Sol System. Though it may seem weird that a GARC cruiser be named after a flower as common as the red tulip, the Hanakotoba associates this flower with fame and charity, representing the values of its designers and all of us here at Kawashita. Any proceeds from sponsorship deals or GARC prize monies will be donated to Andromedan amputees to cover the costs of both rehabilitation and top-of-the-line Kawashita prostheses. Some additional views of the craft: And of course, the proofing shots required by Andromeda GARC authorities to make sure craft like the Chūrippu 502 are regulation sized ans spec: Builder's Notes: -This is my first ever GARC and it was tons of fun to make. The platform that the build is set on is 12x12 studs, which should be easily apparent from the top-down view. -If you look carefully, you'll notice that the "SF" racing sticker on the right side of the ship is cut up into 3 pieces. I did that on purpose and really like the effect. It was fun to play with stickers, which is usually something I don't mess around with. I'd really like to get some custom stickers! -Thanks for looking!

Andromeda Olympics For the Water races at the Andromeda Olympics, the engineers over in M.A.N.T.I.S. have cooked up a fast craft with four engines. Unfortunately naming isn't their strong suit, so it got stuck with the name Quaddagger. They also botched the promo shot by using the wrong color for the upper windscreen (should be Tr. Clear) and using an egg piece that isn't in Mecabricks. Size Proof: C&C Welcome!

M.A.N.T.I.S. mechanic Lyra Zema didn't know much about boats. But she figured they couldn't be much different from the spaceships she spent all day repairing at work. So she built the Stickleback. Some people said it looked too much like a spaceship. Some people got punched in the face. M.A.N.T.I.S. mechanic Lyra Zema didn't know much about accepting constructive criticism. Thanks for reading! My next entry into the Space Olympic Games, for the Boat category: The Awkward Turtle Designed to allow the driver to see what's under him in the water, this unique boat provides great visibility in all directions for enhanced tactical planning during a race. Agent Lotus arrived at the Space Olympic Games, just as the gates were opening for the Mech Wrestling event, The next competitor on the screen was entered by the Kawashita group. "Might as well take a look and see what my team have come up with, and lend some support." As he walked down the hallway to the area floor, he saw the mech on a monitor, zoomed in on its head unit. The machine let out a deep, guttural yell. "Oooooooooh Yeeeeeeaaaahh!" By the time Agent Lotus got into the arena proper and found a seat, it was spinning around, one hand pointed into the air. The powerful looking mech was flamboyantly decorated, and its movements matched its aesthetic. "I'm gonna turn my opponent into bricks and pieces. Bricks and pieces, brother." The mech growled. As it flexed its metal muscles and talked, its eyes lit up a glowing red. as if possessed by madness. "I have the power of the clutch, oh yeah. And no mech can stop me." The slow deliberate bass tone of its voice paused after every sentence, as if allowing the gravity of the situation to enter into its opponent's mind. Finally it still, arms outstretched and its massive hands ready to rip and tear any opposition apart. "Are you ready? Macho Mech is READY!" "Oh yeah, dig it!" It screamed the last line and stood poised to take on anything.
