[(PLEASE READ) Notes: This is my first MOC, I only spent a total of 7 days working on it (you may not think that is enough time to design and build and that's why the next note exists), any feedback to help improve this or future MOCs would be greatly appreciated, the ridiculous amount of minifigs and duplicates is due to me wanting to recreate all scenes possible at the same time, and the set number, price (Which is set between the two largest Star Wars sets, 10188 Death Star at 400 dollars and 3803 pcs. and 10179 Millennium Falcon at 500 dollars and 5197 pcs., also what LEGO charges on sets doesn't make sense because it has no correlation so I just based it roughly on the current exchange rates, which I know is constantly fluctuating and unreliable), and description is made up for fun.] 75160 Yavin 4 Base!!! 5179 pcs.- £349.99, $449.99, €409.99; Minifigs: Luke Skywalker (Pilot), Luke Skywalker (Celebration), Wedge Antilles, Keyan Farlander, Princes Leia (Episode IV), Princess Leia (Celebration), Han Solo (Celebration), Chewbacca, R2-D2 (x2), C-3PO, Jan Dodonna (x2), Rebel Technicians (x8), Rebel Troopers (x5), Rebel Pilot (x4), Rebel Personnel Carrier (x3), R2 unit, R5 unit. Welcome to the Rebellion!!! Explore the huge Yavin Rebel base. With flip up door (for display purposes only due to support pillars) and removable rock features the remaining rebel fighters can re-enter the base after successfully destroying the Death Star. Turn around the base to reveal the play features with docking areas for each fighter. With three Rebel personnel carriers you can restock the fighter, transport the pilots, and move around damaged droids. In the command center examine holographic screens, count down the minutes until the Death Star is in range, and give the briefing on the attack. Go upstairs to the throne room where there is a huge turnout the Royal Award Ceremony. Outside the Millennium Falcon is parked in front of the base after successfully disabling Vader. Also there is a lookout tower where a rebel trooper can scan incoming ships and watch them leave. Includes: 35 Minifigures!!! A brand new Millennium Falcon (Modified TFA one) 2 X-Wings and 1 Y-Wing (With new landing gears that have sliding grooves for docking bays) 3 Rebel Personnel carriers 3 Levels Death Star Tracker table, and Command/Briefing room Exclusive New Minifigs: Updated Celebration Luke, New Wedge Antilles with Hair, General Dodonna, Rebel Personnel Carrier Pilots, and Yavin Rebel Technicians. Accessories Include: 5 Spears, 3 Blasters, 2 Rebel Pilot Helmets (for Luke and Wedge when they are flying), 2 Medals (Neck pieces not prints!!!), 1 lightsaber (Doesn't appear in images), and 1 ship scanner. Images: LXF File: https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing [i don't know a better way to do this if someone can fix this link into a download file (as well as rename it from 100IMAGE to something along the lines of: Yavin 4 Base MOC) please help. ] I hope you like it. I decided that if, there were too few of Yavin MOCs that I've been able to find, I'll make my own.

I recently finished bricklinking a UCS Death Star II, and finally got around to putting it up the pictures. https://www.flickr.c...th/27481130204/ Death Star photos by North White, on Flickr A shot of the front Death Star photos by North White, on Flickr Backside Death Star photos by North White, on Flickr A picture of the "Eye." I misordered 2x4 left wedges in dark grey, so I went with it Death Star photos by North White, on Flickr The lil' Super star destroyer included for scale. I modded it a bit because I didn't like the conning tower design with the binoculars. Overall, 10143 is a very fun build, and mostly uses cheap pieces. Mostly. I just went with a dark grey 10x10 dish on top because light grey is way pricey. Otherwise, the main problem was finding enough grey wings from the same seller. That and the fact that I ordered most of the parts at 1am after work, and so I messed up quite a few of the orders .

2016 has been a very successful year for LEGO Star Wars. There so far have been 37 Star Wars sets released (including the 9 sets to be released September 30th). They also made a new LEGO Star Wars TV show, The Freemaker Adventures which just aired its final episode. But 2016's UCS sets have sparked loads and loads of controversy, when the images and details of 75098 UCS Assault on Hoth it sparked outrage as many people though it costed way too much, didn't deserve the UCS title, and was a lazy attempt with so much incompleteness, and other complaints. The other UCS set is the 75159 UCS Death Star, it also has been criticized as a lazy attempt and a cash grab by LEGO. ^ 75098 UCS Assault on Hoth ^ 75159 UCS Death Star Set Reactions: Now I totally see everyone's point on 75098 and I think it was a very poor effort by TLG, but I differ from the majority on my opinion of 75159. I believe that 75159 is great, I have heard how upset people were when 10188 was discontinued, but it was very old and needed an update. Then when we got the update everyone is so outraged and upset with TLG for not changing it much. I see that people wanted something new, but 10188 was selling well for the 7.5 years it was being produced so why change it, everyone loved the set. Now I also see why people are upset about the price hike, but two factors called for it, first is that inflation sucks and accounts for roughly $50 of the increase, and second back in 2008 there was only LucasFilm with the rights to Star Wars, but now LEGO needs both Disney and LucasFilm licencing which isn't cheap, so it sucks but we know that this had to be done to continue to make profit. Also this might be slightly biased because I got to the LEGO and Star Wars buffet late and by the time I bought my first Star Wars set in late 2015 I was not yet big enough a fan to consider buying 10188, so I want 75159 badly an that is also my final reason for why there was nothing wrong with what TLG did with 75159, because there were so many more who wanted and couldn't get the original and we now have a second chance to get it. So leave your reactions to these two sets in the comments and May the Bricks be With You, Always.

Apologies if this sort of question goes in a pre-existing topic. Considering rumours that the set 10188 Death Star will be retired soon (it has been 7 years after all), I've been contemplating purchasing one (I already own one for myself) for investment. The secondary market prices for 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon are really expensive, up to 5x the original price (AUD), I find, and given the similar scale and the popularity of 10188, I can imagine it will be quite valuable once LEGO stops selling it. What do people think? Is the Death Star worth investing in? Saving it for a couple of years, however long it takes, and then selling it for a higher price? Are others doing this too? Obviously it's a lot of money to spend in one go, so I wanted to see what the consensus is. Also, given rumours that a remake of the UCS Falcon will be coming out soon (not sure how realistic these are, but for the sake of discussion), how do people imagine this will affect the secondary market price of the current UCS Falcon? Thanks, Albus

Hi, Last month I worked on a MOC for TechLUG contest about Death star attack. I tried to do something new. My aim was to create a view of Home One desk with Endor and the Death Star II. I havn't enough bricks to do all this at the same scale (and obviously for making endor and the DS at minifig scale ! ). I tried to do a perspective but without cheating on computer by working on the picture and the background. All the perspective is real when you are standing in front of the MOC. You have 3 size of X-Wing, 4 of A-wing, 3 of minifigs,...(the minifig scale A-Wing and X-wing are just MOD because of contest deadline, and also because I like the A-Wing design actually.) As some ones told me, the walls are too clean, not enough greebs. I had only 2 months to find an idea and create it during spare times. Here are the pictures... Here is the smaller guy on the deck...juste in front an A-Wing on fire! And here is how it is constructed.

So, 75034 Death Star Troopers just started showing up in Milwaukee, WI, U.S.A.. yah! I purchased two. Then, I remembered this scene in the Star Wars I wanted to build. Just for fun. First, some off the center with an angle hing at 18 degrees. Copy, Paste, Connect... The loop can connect to a base plate at the bottom and top. A wall can be made so the can rest the top on the bottom for more support. Build a control area. Note: added safety rail. Put all the parts together Copy, Paste, loop....and you get. Test fire beam OOPS! Melted safety rail. Now, I know why they do not have a safety rail in the movie. Side view Note: Bottom and top are 48x48 base plates and the side is covered with 48x30 plates area. Other side has a door. Side walls connect to top and bottom base plate Painted red so you can see connections. Hope you like it. I had fun building.

Yes, the Galactic Empire has committed atrocities, but what government hasn't? The Empire provides a stable political and commercial environment for her citizens, and that is something worth fighting for. That's why I joined the Imperial Armed Forces. I didn't join because I particularly liked the work, or because I had any particular respect for the way the army is administrated. I have even less respect for that aspect of the organization now. I squandered a few years of my youth prospecting in the Outer Rim, and in so doing I learned a great deal about the use, abuse, and value of explosives. It was enough to enlist as a demolitions specialist when I joined a new battalion being formed on my homeworld of Correlia. At the time, I was proud to see the title there, on my ID cards: Vladimir Volker, Operating Number VK-318, Enlisted Specialist. I am rather less proud of it now. I was quickly transferred out of that battalion and into a unit that had no need of an explosives expert, so the "enlisted specialist" became more or less meaningless. What it meant now was that if a job came up that nobody was stupid enough or brave enough to volunteer for, I got picked. Take my first deployment. Following an attempted escape on the original Death Star battle station, we were deployed to help accelerate the completion of that vessel. But do you think I got a security-guard posting? Oh, no. Not even a heavy-equipment operator. Guess what I drew. Tech support. It didn't take me long to get bored out of my mind. It's not to hard to see why. For one thing, I don't know what species they had in mind when they designed those computer terminals, but as far I as can figure they must have been built for Wookiees. The chairs were no good, either; they felt like sitting on a slab of sheet metal. And you would think that the troopers who got assigned to drive, say, a hovercrane, would have some idea how to power it up every morning, but nope. I had to tell one specific soldier how to do that every morning. Every. Single. Morning. But, hey, that's what I enlisted for. I stayed there for a few months, then they started drawing down the extra troopers. I was redeployed for my next assignment about a week and a half before the Battle of Yavin. Pretty good timing, I think. My first free build done! I would like this judged, please (Looks like I forgot to put a commlink back after removing minifigs.) (Again, no commlink. ) I attempted to construct the signature Death Star wall pattern from memory in in a way that I could build with the parts available to me, and I think I actually did pretty well. Anyway, here's my first free build. Enjoy! Edited Wednesday the fifth of March to correct grammar.

Hello all! I have been recently thinking about Bricklinking some of the rarer/more expensive UCS sets but before I take the plunge I am looking for some advice. Looking at Lobot's 10179 MF and 10143 DSII have been helpful but I am circling back to the idea of other sets. Here's the list of them: 10175 Tie Advanced 10143 Death Star 10212 Imperial Shuttle 10179 Millenium Falcon 10221 Super Star Destroyer I am looking for some advice on which one to build/best to buy. I do know I can buy a SSD but £350 is A LOT and am looking to save on money. I also know that parts on the MF are getting rarer especially those grey boat rigging so now might be a better time to buy before the prices are crazy! Any advice, pros, cons? Thanks, -824
