  1. My latest Discworld MOC featuring two of the first characters on the series, coward wizard Rincewind and his magical chest monster The Luggage, both appearing in Color of Magic from 1983. Rincewind is based on Paul Kidby's impression. The Luggage's design was pretty universal; I'm especially happy how the teeth and the tongue turned out. More can be found on my blog. Enjoy.
  2. My newest Discworld build (which are both here and the Other Themes Subforum...), The next Discworld character is Sir Samuel Vimes, His Excellency, His Grace Duke of Ankh, The Blackboard Monitor and the Commander of Ankh-Morpork City Watch. Sam is here in his trusted old Night Watch uniform with dim and rugged breastplate, slightly rusty chainmail and second-hand boots. I also built a baton as it felt like suitable copper accessory. More can be found on the blog. Enjoy!
  3. Susan Sto Helit, granddaughter of Death and the substitute Grim Reaper from Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel Soul Music. I threwn in The Death of Rats too. That felt necessary. More on Cyclopic Bricks. Enjoy!
  4. Oook. Oook. Oook. Oook.
  5. My newest character build, The Dean of Unseen University from Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld books: The Dean's fat, vicious and hungry for food and power. He's also prone to external influences, and made a leather coat with "Born to rune" written on it during the onslaught of Music With Rocks In. It's naturally included here. With my previous Discworld character build, Archchancellor Mustrum Ridcully: More on Cyclopic Bricks. Enjoy!
  6. Sergeant Cheery Littlebottom, Forensics department of Ankh-Morpork City Watch. Former alchemist and the first dwarf to express her feminine gender in the city. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  7. Lu-Tze, or The Sweeper, is an old, wrinkly, bald smiling man, master of martial arts and sort of a policeman of time. But mostly just a sweeper. Based on a Discworld character by Sir Terry Pratchett. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  8. Sergeant Detritus, succesfull troll officer in Ankh-Morpork City Watch, head of recruit division and the cultural attacheé of Ankh-Morpork. Sergeant needed his muscular chestplate, toeless watch boots and clockwork cooling helmet; He also wields his siege crossbow The Piecemaker, a weapon of mass destruction. More photos and talk on Cyclopic Bricks.
  9. The old-fashioned backbone of Ankh-Morpork Police force - Corporal Cecil Wormsborough St John "Nobby" Nobbs and Sergeant Frederick Colon. These two are among the most iconic Discworld character, so I had to build them! More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  10. Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson of Ankh-Morpork. Strong, honest and honourable man with a plain yet sharp sword. An another character from Discworld. Flat silver curved slopes enabled me to make Carrot's shiny breastplate. More photos on Cyclopic Bricks.
  11. It's the time of the year when old bearded chap travels from house to house... Stealing the treasures, taking the virgins and killing the monsters... It's of course Cohen the Barbarian, Disc's most infamous barbarian hero! Cohen's 90-something and haven't managed to get killed; Decades on barbarian business have made him tough. He leads his Silver Horde of equally aged heroes and does what he's always done. He's the last old-school hero. This is based on a Discworld character by Sir Terry Pratchett; Especially on Paul Kidby's image on the cover of The Last Hero. More images on the blog! And Merry Christmas to every one of you!
  12. Especially for the CCCXIII I finished the Troll Bridge. It is now 216 studs long, 32 wide en 90 bricks high, measuring 68 inch long, 34 inch tall. There are 7 separate modules so it is possible to make a shorter bridge. 13. Troll Bridge Based on a short film by Snowgum films. Starring an updated version of Cohen the Barbarian: Troll Bridge 01 by L-space, on Flickr Troll Bridge 15 by L-space, on Flickr Troll Bridge 13 by L-space, on Flickr There are four separate modules, maybe if I can get enough bricks I will add another tower. more on flickr and brickshelf
  14. Last Thursday, 12th of March 2015, world lost one of its greatest writers, Sir Terry Pratchett. This creation is dedicated to his memory. Mustrum Ridcully, the Archchancellor of Unseen University, is my favourite Discworld character. This creation was result of two days of intense building, beginning with the beard and finishing with the hunting crossbow. There are more photos on Cyclopic Bricks.
  15. I've seen a few great Discworld creations on this forum, especially from L-Space, as well as around the web, but all the ones for the Ankh Morpork City Watch have been quite small and a bit outdated in terms of pieces and availability. I decided to make myself a large version of the Watch House at Pseudopolis Yard, or the City Watch headquarters, earlier this year, but haven't got around to posting the photos yet. For those unaware of the Discworld books, the City Watch is a send-up of the modern police force, living and working in Ankh Morpork, a thriving multicultural metropolis with people from every species on the Disc there. As you might guess, the Disc is the world. It's flat. Like a disc. There's a sort of renaissance-y/victorian/steampunk aesthetic. For those who are aware of Discworld... well, this should be a treat. There's a lot of named characters and references in the build, as well as a few who aren't typically associated with the watch in some of the little vignettes added onto the sides. Anyway, photos... Wide view of the entire model. Wide shot of the back of the model/interior of the Watch House (floors are fully removable!) Side view. Outside the main gates - the Guild of Fools, Otto Chriek, and wizards from the Unseen University. More of the streets. Sir Sam Vimes and his family (along with Mr A E Pessimal) in his office. Because there's a basement level, and so the street is raised, there are three small vignettes built into the side of the model to give it some variation. Death comes visiting. Granny Weatherwax, Magrat Garlick, and Nanny Ogg, heroines of the Witches books. Sir Terry Pratchett himself, author and creator of the Discworld, with his assistant Rob. For anyone who'd like to see the full scale and detail of this build, with details, there's a full imgur album here, in higher resolution and annotated. There's also a youtube video with annotations more specifically pointing to and labelling each of the characters. Thanks for looking!
  16. Let me begin this topic with my most recent MOC: It's my first cuusoo project, so if you want to support it, here's the link And here is a small compilation of the other fantasy MOCs I did: All pics are in my flickr gallery. I hope you'll like them.
  17. A windmill on the walls of Ankh-Morpork. Working for the stonequarries, carpenters and the Guild of Perfumistas this mill has been strategicly placed on the walls to gain some extra hight in the city. video on flickr with all the functions: link I do have more ideas for the wall to expand so more will follow, sometime. more on flickr and brickshelf
