Built for the 2016 MOCAthalon, the category this time was “Classic Update.” I chose to update the Black Falcon Fortress #6074. The original featured a working drawbridge and hinging walls to allow for multiple building layouts. I kept both those features, and added a dual catapult, jail with break-away wall, great hall with fireplace and table, and a stables with working gate. There are 6 minifigs included: 4 Black Falcons, and 2 Crusaders, plus there are two horses, some extra weapons, and a treasure chest. There are 2 ladders to allow minifigs to reach the walls, and they can fold up out of the way so you can reach into the interior. See more pictures on brickbuilt Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoyed this remake of a classic set. I admit to rigorously play testing this model

I have a question about about the Millennium Falcon lego set number 10179. I found a collection of 22 Lego sets at an estate sale. Most of them were unopened and still in their original boxes. I bought the lot for my 10 year old son. He assembled most of the smaller sets and was just about the assemble the Millennium Falcon when a friend of mine pointed out the value of the piece. Unfortunately he had already opened the box but hadn't yet opened all of the individual bags. I was wondering since he has already opened the box would it devalue the piece any more if I was to let him put it together? He has opened half of the bags already.

So, a lot of the Avengers character that were released were movie accurate. Fair enough since that movie has put enough capital into Marvel to keep them going for a few years. But when they started releasing the other characters, they were Cartoon accurate. Again fine, so I split my Avenger mini figs into two groups, Movie and Comic. This is a custom Movie Falcon. I used the Knock off Hawk Eye that you can buy on Ebay for about $3, then replaced his arms with black arms. Fitted a black 1x1 stud bib and a Travis block and then added a pair of Lego wings from the Chima line, finally finished with a Red translucent wedge for the rocket burn. https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/t31.0-8/1040422_10153286783167656_7833682590755516325_o.jpg

Hey, I've been bricklinking the UCS Falcon from 2007 and have seen a lot of mods. I usually mod stuff that I bricklink, and was looking for inspiration. If you've modded one and want to share what you've done/know of a modded one, post it here. Here's what I've seen: http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6036/7001072249_69b17c62c1_c.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7176/7001103569_d5fe095706_c.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7240/6854949508_5ff51e7126_c.jpg From this post: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=67628 Aall of the ones from here: http://www.fbtbforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=24351&highlight=&sid=1cb916fc337648b35f11e5562df6641 This photo set: https://www.flickr.com/photos/marshal-banana/4757411621/in/set-72157622309088161/ http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2879037 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Star-Wars-Ultimate-Millennium-Falcon-10179-Custom-BLACK-New-100-complete-/111120232218?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item19df482f1a&afsrc=1&nma=true&si=zCBtGZV2pHpPZ0kSGnGFAEt4cCg%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 At the risk of repeating myself, http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=38627 http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/45629 http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/299502 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81759 and the stuff on this page: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=89683&st=25 Post if you know of anything else...
