  1. Quite simply, what is the LEGO line that is the absolute least LEGO-like? For starters, Galidor's a prime candidate as many LEGO fans will tell you, as it was simply action figures that were only "construction" in how the limbs could be taken apart (which had the "beams" LEGO System, or whatever it's called). But it at least had some kind of (physical) LEGO connection of some sort in more or less every set. Is it the absolute least LEGO-like? Scala was initially LEGO themed jewelry that still kept the classic system, but when they brought it back it became essentially just dolls with separate LEGO elements thrown in at the side that weren't even being attached to anything, and when there was classic construction it was a different "flower-shaped" system than usual. Explore had some LEGO-ish sets in the Duplo ones they put out, but they also had a lot of what was essentially simple baby toys that weren't (physically) connectable to LEGO at all. Primo was still a construction system, but a partially incompatible and oversimplified one at that. Znap took a new Knex ripoff system, but it still utilized Technic. So what is the ultimate non-LEGOish LEGO line? (I'd put in a poll, but I not only lack enough posts, but also might miss a suggestion).
  2. I hope this is the right part of the forum to post this. Here goes: Contrary to it’s name the Three Armed Sloth is a marvel in speed, balance and neural augmentation. The battle armor suit protects the wearer from weapons damage but it also amplifies strength and keeps balance even in high speed and tricky terrain. Neural connectors gets feed directly from the brain and the suit can therefore react in real time to the wearers moves. It can also feed data and stimulus back to the brain. Mounted on the back of the suit is the real reason for it’s efficiency in combat. A robotic arm that can wield a multitude of weapons and mimics every move of the suit's right arm. This suit is armed with an Anti-Armor-Vibro-Sword that can cut through steel, stone and armed concrete like it’s made of paper. On the other end of the robotic arm is the counter weight and the balancing machinery that keeps the suit in the right position and keeps the wearer from feeling any of the additional weight and momentum from the arm. Some arms have mounting points for additional weaponry, like the one seen here. A double barrel Auto-Target-Anti-Personnel-Rail-Gun tracks targets and feeds the results directly into the visual cortex of the wearer. The wearer carries a "control pad". Shaped like a sword and weighted properly to make the feeling of swinging a sword feel more like the real thing. The controller is equipped with triggers for the various weaponry the suit carries. ------------------------------------------------------------ Ever since I saw this great MOC by Polywen ( ), I've been somewhat fascinated by the Galidor heads. Allegra's head in particular. I think it's one of the best minifig heads LEGO ever did. So I bought one. Since then I've wanted to build something fitting this great LEGO piece. Not long thereafter I stumbled onto a piece of concept art made by an artist called Trevor Claxton (http://trevorclaxton.blogspot.se/2012/03/overdrive.html) I thought it was one of coolest things I've seen in a long time and it seemed very fitting for the Allegra head. I knew I had to try to build something like that. There are more images of this MOC and my other MOCS in my flickr feed: http://www.flickr.com/photos/o0ger And yes, this MOC is made entirely of LEGO ;)
  3. Well, I've decided to venture outside of my comfort zone in Technicland, and post some of my stuff here. I've got a number of small and medium size Bionicle and Hero Factory creations that I feel do not justify their own threads, so I'll post them all in this thread. My first thing for this thread is a Bionicle update of a Galidor alien called Ooni. I have no idea if that is the name of the species, or the individual, or whatever, but i kind of like the freak. Ooni is also the only Galidor set I own, and I have a number of fond memories of playing with him. My copy is complete, aside from the other head. If I recall, there was no configuration of Ooni that looked good, and used all of his parts, so that was quite annoying. Anyway, I originally created this thing for the Battle For The Golden Mask contest, but as I was ineligible to enter, he was put in storage until I brought him out now. If I were to enter him, I would have given him a backstory involving being a horrible, twisted freak of nature from another dimension, who has a touch that causes everything around him to mutate horribly. Anyway, on to pictures. Bionicle Ooni by Saberwing007, on Flickr I kept all of his major features, including his weird jaws, color scheme, 4 arms, 4 legs, and 4 eyes. Ooni closeup by Saberwing007, on Flickr But, he is far more stable and poseable, and has opening jaws as well as poseable thumbs. Ooni Details by Saberwing007, on Flickr Given that the small arms on the original are more mechanical looking, I did the same on mine, with the Glatorian fists in DSG. Ooni Roar by Saberwing007, on Flickr Apparently, some village was able to snap a blurry photo of the beast roaring at nothing in particular. This is for almost ruining Lego forever! by Saberwing007, on Flickr Ooni attacks Ooni for almost ruining Lego forever. He deserves it. Also, this is literally the most dynamic pose I could get out of the original Ooni, as he is not really good for that, though not for the ratchet joints so much as weird proportions. There is probably going to be more creations to come, and if anybody wants instructions or more pictures, just let me know.
