Does anyone know of a rather good way to make wheel arches, specifically like on the back of a Ford F250, to go around a 6 stud diameter wheel? I have experimented with these, but either way I line them up the two-stud protruding bit ruins the curve. I plan on having the entire assembly stick out from the body by half a stud, using jumper plates. Thanks in advance!

So I made a small scale solid axle just for fun and I think it turned out quite well, but it wiggles side to side a bit too much. Here are some pictures. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Those are the pictures of the axle, now here is the problem. The above two pictures show the extent of the wobble.

Built this set a few days ago....but i have found that while using one function, such as turning the turntable would effect the other function....raising and lowering the boom. is this a design flaw?....or did i built the parts too tight and turning one function is affecting the other? In this vid you can see when he is raising the boom the turntable moves a bit....but mine is much worse.

i just received a lot of Black and White axle/pins....but i am not sure of the Part # i have: since you can get both of this part in White and Black in Friction and Non Friction....how do you tell the difference? i got a nice lot of them for my custom colour coded rebuild of 8641 using various pins and axles to colour match the look of the model better, i also bought a load of White axles in various lenghts, and Part #4265c in Blue. http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=43093&idColor=7#T=C&C=7 http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3749#T=C

i am baffled by these instructions, meaning book 2....there are like 6 different models you can make, what i want to know is what model uses the most parts?...is it the wing door model? these old Lego instructions are very different to the modern ones, and each step has way more parts to put together.

I am planning to build 8041, but spotted something unusual: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=8041-1 The part list says it uses 4 of part # 73335 in red: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=75535 This is an old part and wasnt used in a few years, the pin connector was replaced with the modern #62462. Does anyone have the set and could they please check part 75535 is in fact used in this set?

Hello lego fans I am teaching lego mindstorms to 8 people and have 3 NXT's and wanted to know what simple robots they could build. I am teaching a 4 week course and thinking of going through 1 sensor / week. (US, touch, color. 4th week TBD) I have only 1 hour for them to build and program the robot so it has to be an easy build but with all of the sensors. (4 people /course and 2 hours a day for a total of 8 people.) [EDIT] These kids are aged 7-12. Thanks! William "NXT45"
