Ageven has finally made the decision to start up his own little town on one of the Kaliphlin peninsulas. As a first step he had Rex make a model of the layout. Of course the most essential part is Ageven's Castle up on the cliffs! Ageven is hoping the location will prove a good one agriculturally, but he isn't sure yet. Still, it looks nice in the model! Another overview: Comments are welcome! I'm not completely sure that water technique fit the scale, but I hope it turned out all right. I'd also like UoP credits for Studs up Rocks and Cliffs (Landscape Design), Crop Farming (Agriculture and Zoology), Mountains or Cliffs (Geography). Thanks for taking a look!

Long ago, back in the days when Kaliphlin was a peaceful place, I packed up my goods and set out on a trading adventure. The sandy expanse spread out before me as I settled back in my multicolored wagon and dreamed of the riches that were to become mine... but I am getting ahead of the story. Let me introduce myself. I am called Itiz Al Myne, and the name fits, if I may say so myself. I am a merchant, and this was not my first venture across the Siccus - no, not by a long shot. And while it is true that on my last venture I may - mark you well, I admit nothing - I may have parted with a little - a very little - of my goods without remembering to note them down on the tax return, I am a very honest merchant. Well, here I was, reclining peacefully back in my fancy carriage, dreaming of piles of gold stacked to the ceiling around me, when all of a sudden a jolting drag to a halt brought me back from the glittering realm of fancy to the real world of bumps and interruptions. I stuck my head out of the cover that separated myself from my driver, an angry expostulation on my lips, just in time to hear him say, "Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies! Now let us pass!" Kaliphlin, a peaceful place, forsooth! I glanced down my nose at a short knight that stood blocking our path and echoed my follower's command. "Let us by, man! I am an honest merchant!" "That is precisely the information I wished to know," he said politely - but without getting out of the way, as I noticed. "If you would be so kind as to step down I can surely verify it with ease. Pardon my suspiciousness, but you must admit that your driver's attitude has not been one to lull it to rest." "Step down?! You are the one that had better step down!" I roared. "How dare you mess with an honest trader like myself?" "What do you carry?" he asked. "Spices from the island of Gorr," I replied, but in the same breath my driver - apparently not thinking I could make things up as well as he could - responded, "Mitgardian honey." I looked at him sharply, but, covering my annoyance, turned with a slight bow toward the knight and added, "That too!" "Spices from Gorr and honey from Mitgardia!" he exclaimed with a broad smile. "Truly, sir merchant, you bring your food from afar! Search them," he commanded motioning to a companion whom I noticed for the first time. The driver looked at me inquiringly, but the knight, guessing his intention, sprang upon him and rendered our escape hopeless. Dismounting, I looked glumly on as the soldier ransacked my precious carriage and confiscated all that was contraband - which left precious little, I must admit. Thus it was that I lost the entire venture of - well, never mind what it was, it is bad policy to commit one's self in writing - but I lost it, all because of some knight-errant who wanted to impress his boss and my overzealous driver, who certainly did not impress his boss! I initially built the carriage for a different build, but I have this absurd tendency to build carriages that are too big for my bases, so I had to save it for a later vig! So here it is, I'm not sold on the blue and grey border (looking back, red and grey or yellow and grey would have been better), but I wanted to get it off my desk! I did have fun writing the story though! C&C welcome, thanks for checking it out!

Ageven has thrown a feast for all Historicans who can make it! Turkey, fish, apples, cheese, bread and other delicacies have been provided! My apologies to those of you who I couldn't build (especially to the Avalonians, who had a rather poor showing for their number), and also to those who I had to change considerably... and I was trying not to favor one over another - except Ageven of course! Uridius Dratiphe warms his hands at the fire while Mich Maxersine discusses politics. Dr. Rod converses with Masa of Kaliphlin on the state of the country and elemental attacks. I tried a few different set-ups, here's one of them: A member from each guild poses in front of their flag. Again, apologies to those not pictured (or not pictured enough!). I also kind of felt like this is one of (if not my best) build, so I had to take lots of photos (and I put a lot of work into them). So there's even more at my Flickr! Comments are more than welcome, as always!

Ageven heads back down Kaliphlin to Auner to found a city, leaving Kaflar and his followers at the ancient site of Kaligem (which for story purposes means you probably won't hear about them for a long. long time). This was a very fast MOC, I wanted to give myself some more practice with an irregular border, but I had to conclude that I really don't have enough pieces yet for any sizable vig that way... Also wanted to get some more Kaliphlin free-builds out there! C&C welcome!

Down in a dusty by-lane in Petraea hides Scripto the Dwarf's workshop, filled with all kinds of scraps and elaborately carved and molded designs! Scripto's assistant, busy learning the tricks of the trade. A commission from a wealthy citizen, this ivory inlaid pillar has some elaborate flower designs carved on it. This was going to be a shop interior... but it soon started to look more like a workshop... anyway I hope you enjoy it! I used Z's tips for the photography, feedback on that is welcome!

With the threat from Revolword gone, Ageven stopped by a shop he was told sold wigs. Unfortunately there were no black ones he could change for his brown... This was a quick MOC I had an idea for when I came up with the wig-powderer... I actually had quite a few surplus tables and knick-knacks, I think I'll try to do a shop interior (no exterior) after I destroy this... Credit to Elkund! for the cobblestone technique. Interior; Ziza inspects the clothing for sale while her assistant powders the wigs. As I mentioned, this wig powderer was the reason for the build... so I hope you like it! Top story (which I unfortunately didn't get a good picture of) houses this game board... something I was very pleased with personally... Comments are welcome, this is one of those rare (for me) completely unprovoked free-builds (in other words, I'm not entering this into any competition etc...) so I hope you enjoy it!
