In the early days of the Nestlands settlement, Durhal Gurree was tasked with finding fresh water northwest of Nod Nol. What he found was a ruined temple complex, ancient even in that time. At the center of that complex was a spring, teeming with plant life, watched over by single remaining statue.

When Durhal tasted the water, he found it bitter and metalic, like most of the ground water of the area. The plants, though, would prove useful to the future of the Clans. The samples he brought back to the center settlement (later known as Cobalt Vale) were found to have many applications, from medicine to to dyes to eventually food.

The spring was named for Durhal, and is still visited today by clansmembers gathering local flora.
