  1. lostdriveway challenged me to create the Haunted Mansion from the LEGO Scooby Doo short, "Knight Time Terror." Here are some pics he sent me: I'm starting off with the greenhouse. Here's what I have so far: More soon!
  2. During the Pillage The Village Competition, Flickr user alexbrick2000 posted an entire town of MOCs and added them to the Nautical Lego Flickr Group. My favorite was the Hafen or Port. a Hafen3 - Kopie by alexbrick2000, on Flickr And then he also has the rest of the town that looks like it could attach to the Port. a Hafen untere Stadt Kirche1 - Kopie by alexbrick2000, on Flickr a Hafen untere Stadt5 - Kopie by alexbrick2000, on Flickr A lot of these buildings have interiors too. There is a lot of detail put into this town.
  3. Hello all - new to Eurobricks and Lego Trains, I just wanted to share with you my rise from the Dark Ages and what I have been building. Last Christmas time I went to my first ever Lego Train Show hosted by the Northern Illinois Lego Train Club. I had been slowly getting back into Legos at that time since my sister introduced me to LDD. After the show I was hooked. I did not ask for, but was given the Emerald Night for Christmas and was so struck by how awesome it is and how it connected my love for trains to my love for Lego's. Then later in the year I got the Maersk Train for my birthday then the Blue Cargo train. I have been building in a fury!! I am most interested in North American Steam but have built some diesels as well. The flickr link is to a gallery of my steam collection I have a whole bunch of rail cars and some buildings and MOW vehicles as well. I am hoping one day to build these with real bricks and have a layout (really a big yard, engine shed, and round-house) and be a part of a train club. But until I have the space and funds, these LDD creations are the only way I can express my passion at this time. Anyway, enjoy the North American Steam! I did build a Class C Shay truck but since I borrowed so much from the original creator Stephen Pakbaz I decided not to share it. https://flic.kr/s/aHsknDng5z ALCO
  4. Hello, I'm a newbie with LDD and I'm trying to put together some fig parts, and noticed when I attach a cape and then a head, the head doesn't go all the way on. I've read in some places here that there is a "trick" to getting the head down by putting it onto the torso differently, but I don't see any clear directions on how to do that. Can someone point me in the direction of those instructions on how to fix this bug if there are some here somewhere on Eurobricks? Or can someone provide a how-to video for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Lately there have been some nice T-70 X-wings on the forum so thought i'd add mine that i have been working on for some time but making slow progress due to life getting in the way! Firstly i'd like to acknowledge ScottishDave's recent X-wing, did an awesome job but scarily did a couple of things i was actually working on as well, firstly using cams to attach the engine exhausts. It was the perfect part for that section and i thought i was a right clever so and so using it, that was until i saw it used on Dave's model, i cursed then laughed (and cursed again) He posted his way before me so im giving total props to the man for it. Secondly using a pipe to make the curve of the engine inlets, i was doing something similar but his version was way cleaner so i used the design, great job man, its brilliant! Also the legend that is Mike Psiaki looms large over most X-wings made now so his fuselage is a great inspiration to my model. I tried to make the nose sleeker and with some hit and misses i think i got close. Also the lack of the new screen in LDD forced me to get creative with the canopy, i was just looking for something that added to the lines of the ship and came away quite happy with what i achieved. Although in the process of getting the parts to build this it may change if the new screen can be made to fit in similar style to what ive built so far. Anyway, to the pics!..... [edit]LDD in post #28[edit] The band is back together!
  6. Hello everyone! Another December is approaching, which is the time of those little surprises popping out from the windows of an advent calendar. This year I mixed it with my favorite theme: The Collectable Minifigures! Imagine the well-known and most popular minifigs with a twist: wearing festive outfits, or just something that is more suitable in wintertime. Be prepared, the fun starts in two days!
  7. Greetings! Soon it is 1st December, which means jolly advent calendar adventures from me AGAIN! This year I tried something that has never been done before: A FRIENDS themed calendar! Unfortunately LDD still doesn’t include Friends minidoll parts except from the haircuts (come on LEGO, it is about time!), so I had to go with the regular minifigs. To make them more friends-ish, I tried to summon the classic torsos and faces the girls have, for which I had a huge help from Dorayaki, who already made those stickers and was kind to share the designs with me. Thanks again! So except something very cozy and festive in two days!
  8. Over the past year I have been working on a custom millennium falcon based off the 2004 set. I started out with an LDD file uploaded by a flickr user by the name of Flynn2000 After heavily editing a lot of the interior details and adding my own special touches like a new Escape Pod and landing gear. I decided to post it here as I have been having trouble finding a way to connect my landing gear design to the actual ship itself. Some cool renders of the ship below along with a download to the file. If any of you could think of a way to attach the landing gear I would love to read them!
  9. The Redemption is one of my favorite ship in the original Star Wars trilogy. I really wanted to the build a UCS model of it. Yet, people who have built it aren't sharing the instructions for the moment (I understand why now ...). Last year I decided to design it under LDD with the goal of building it for real and displaying it ! Here are the conditions I've set and decision I've made: - A scale of 1/250 : -> 1/200 is actually better suited for this project. - Around 5000 parts : -> This was changed to 9000. - Only cheap and common parts : -> It's almost the case, all the parts are common. -> There are some expensive parts : the Technic bricks, the plates and few slopes. - Swooshable -> It will probably be swooshable as long as you don't hold it from the center. -> It will weight something like 15 kg ... - Be as close as possible to the movie model -> I am using about 200 pictures of the original model used for the movie -> I am using some pictures of the work done by ShowCraft on the therpf forum (He seems to have alot of information I don't) -> For the color scheme, I am using light bluish gray because 1) the parts are available and 2) you can't really see the colors in the movie -> In the movies, the model was mirrored to show the right side. If it is interesting, I use the model design, and if not, I mirror. - Build it by May the 4th 2016 -> It's going to be complicated ... I am about half way done with the design. Here are the pictures of the current work : WIP 4 by Samir Lrhoul, sur Flickr WIP 3 by Samir Lrhoul, sur Flickr WIP 5 by Samir Lrhoul, sur Flickr Please comment ! I'd love to know what you think of the current work and if you have any advises. PS : the flashy colors or things that will be modified.
  10. Hello everybody! I love the naval theme, but unfortunately policies pursued by Legonot allow for the production of Lego designers on this subject. That has to do everything myself)) Allow me to introduce my MOC - Sovremenny-class destroyer. Last version built in LDD. Scale 1: 350. Comments and suggestions are welcome. More photos you can see on my page - http://mocpages.com/moc.php/401891.
  11. One of the several projects and great MOCs to come, which I have been designing recently in LDD—the AT-ST walker. In brief, this project was initiated after I was inspired by the original design of the waist by anothergol for his articulated AT-ST. Specifically, I was impressed with his subtle utilization of paint brushes and mudguards to easily recreate some of distinct details and features on this region. In addition, I as well, implemented the 5 x 5 scala dishes as the mounts for the support cannons. Then interestingly, I did not notice this until recently, but structure of the feet are designed similarly, with significant use of bracket elements—what a coincidence! However, mine will most likely not accommodate minifigures. Since there are different models of the AT-ST used in the movies and many illustrations of the AT-ST, the principal image I reference is the blueprints of the walker from ROTJ, which was a hybrid of the model actual seen in that movie with a boxy head and the one featured in ESB that had elongated legs. Regarding the design, I took quite a bit of liberty with some of the proportions and details. Specifically, the legs are thicker than should be for a minifigure scale AT-ST, which is lightly attributed to the available elements, but to also an exceptionally sturdy design—it is sophisticated yet simultaneously subtle. Likewise, the waist significantly thinner as compared to the legs and head importantly. This is reason to the length of the mudguard used as the carapace being 2 x 4 rather than conveniently being 2 x 6. Besides the absent connections in the head, as I have yet to design that, the fragmented legs is because those elements are not available in LDD. Lastly, since I could not utilize BlueRender, because I happen to not know how to operate it on Macs, even though I read the tips, I alternatively made an LDD photo box that is comprised of 48 x 48 base plates, hinge plates, and curved bricks :-) Forward view: Rightward view: Rearward view: Leftward view: Downward view: Dramatic view: If you notice for the main cannon, I used the flexible bars, which are hollowed at the ends. Leg details: Brackets are the fundamental element for durable legs. Foot details: Waist details: Brackets are also fundamental here.

    Taverna

Hi my friend! Here i show you my new modular. The idea came from a building i saw in Rhodes when i was there this summer. Enjoy. regards Attila Taverna by Attila Nagy, on Flickr Ground floor with the little taverna: Taverna Ground Floor by Attila Nagy, on Flickr Taverna_LDD2_gf by Attila Nagy, on Flickr First floor is the kitchen and the living room: Taverna_LDD2_1f by Attila Nagy, on Flickr In the attic there are the rest:-) Taverna_LDD_2mf by Attila Nagy, on Flickr
  13. MUAHAHA! It's the spookiest time of the year, and time to show you my new LDD creation! And it's a halloween themed MOC, no less, so, without any further ado, let's take a stroll through the Saint Modular's Cemetary... This place is modular, but not Detective Office, or Parisian Restaurant Modular, but instead, every grave with it's parcel (and inhabitant ), is a module on it's own, connected via technic pins, so is the fencing and the gate. Now, St Modular's seems to be a quiet, somber place of rest for departed minifigs, but... On Halloween Night, right after clock strikes midnight, all hell breaks loose, and the graveyard gets haunted by popculture references, THE HORROR! When the night falls, and the full moon shines in all it's glory, the sky get's littered with all things paranormal. Ghosts racing through the night, flying saucers are here in search of inteligent life forms (good luck with that... ), and werewolf calls his pack on a hunt. Also, It beats me how a cursed sarcophagus with it's wrapped up owner got it's way here from Egypt, but whatever! Here we have, straight outta Sleepy Hollow, the Headless Horseman, and his trusty steed, rearing triumphally. But who's that mysterious fellow in black clothes and mask that every self proclaimed computer hacker seems to wear nowadays? Yup, It's Agent Smith Elrond V! And what does V stands for? Very cool MOC, obviously. And Vendetta. Moving on! There's a little Dance party here, with King of Pop Himself, immortalized as a minifig. Chucky, put down that knife, you sexy doll you, just look at that charming smile... Also, Slenderman's here. And a generic evil Mecha, don't mind him, he's aquiring his target, ahem, I mean having a good time... One, two, Freddy's coming for you... Nah, he's just hiding behind the grave, sneaky bastard... Right at the front Cthulhu would like to have a swim, but Sadako/Samara won't let him in her well... What a Halloween MOC would be without vampires? Unfortunately, Dracula, Count Orlok, Lestat and Count von Count couldn't come to the party, so we had to bring this guy, Edward Cullen. Darth Vader was so annoyed that he force-choked mr. Sparkly McStupidface. Damn, Pattison sure has tough luck, when it comes to dying at a graveyard, first You-Know-Who, and now another dark lord have killed him... But Wait, What's that green gooey stuff under the crypt's wall? Oh, these are just Xenomorph Eggs, But what is it? A young Yautja Warrior is trying to lay his hands on them... Watch out Hunter, there's an Alien queen, ready to defend her offspring, or rather incubating facehuggers... Despite this all happening, a plucky gravedigger on his nightshift seems to be not aware of the paranormal activity in his workplace. Well, you can see in his face he has some HAUNTING suspicion, that something EERIE is going on, but that was only autumn wind HOWLING, and giving him the CREEPS. Ok, I'll stop here this pun is so DREADful, it's SCARY... And, that's quite it, soon I'll upload the .lxf so you can dl it and admire it in it's whole glory. Happy Halloween Everybody! Also, there's one hidden character, did you spot Waldo? If so, post in comments!
  14. This futuristic scifi-esque Bread Truck was inspired by a 1950s Drawing of an "Instant-Bake" Bread Truck: I tried to get the overall Shape of the Baking Compartment into a slightly futuristic Silouette by using Slope Pieces, Grills and Plates. This was more or less my first Experience with the LDD or MOCing...maybe i will even make a Real Life Version of it.This will need quite a good Combination of weird Parts in interesting Colors.... The Front Half was inspired by the Lego Separatist Shuttle but with different Frontlights and sloped Sides. And yes, those are Laserguns...just in case someone doesn`t want to pay for his Insta-Bread" : The Undercarriage is pretty unspectacular, just some Plates to hold everything together: The Rearview looks bulky and tough with Taillights peeking through the Rear Bumper: For aestetic Reasons i tried to avoid visible Studs on the Roof: Always keep an Eye on the Pressure,no one wants a Flour Explosion. The Grill Flaps can be folded up while on Tour:
  15. Hey guys, hope this is the right Section for my Pics. As i have understood the LLD Rules,MOC`s made with the LLD should be placed where physical MOCs would be posted with the fitting Theme in Mind (Star Wars MOCs in the SW Subforum etc...) So i tried myself on a bunch of simple Hotrods.Nothing fancy or with amazing Buildingtechniques but i think they are looking okay. I just started working with LDD and MOCing in general... The Cars a based on classic Ford Model A Hotrods, including a Highboy,a Convertible and a cool Surfrod with impossible Colors... So,what do you think of these Creations?
  16. Does anyone know if a LDD can be broken into instruction based images, like if there is a 3rd party software for this? I am working on a MOC that I want to give my 7yo for Xmas, it's based on 7498, the 2011 Police Station and I have the instructions for this but want to add extra utility and play features to it so am considering adding parts of 60047. I'm thinking of making a police training facility! I'd prefer to give it to her to build rather than present it made up, but not sure how to go about this?
  17. Hey! Dannylonglegs here! I have never used LDD before, but circumstances have arisen so that I believe I may need to finally download it. So, my question is: Where do I get it? When I do get it, it sounds fairly straightforward to use, but how much space does it take up? After I make a digi-moc, what do I do next? How do I show it or share it? Anyone know answers to my nooby questions? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. Hello, everyone! A while back I made a model of Anakin Skywalker's Podracer in LDD. It was heavily-based on the 2011 edition of the set. This version that I am presenting you now is an original design of mine, I think it is much more accurate and detailed than my original concept. I rendered the picture in Bluerender. The model has 187 pieces. Please offer any comments, criticisms, or praises! AnakinPodracerV2.lxf
  19. A good morning/afternoon/evening to you all. I've been hanging around here for a while now, and I've decided it's high time I came up with something of my own to contribute. I drew inspiration from Dread Pirate Wesley's HMS Pickle, mostly for doing the hull and the spars. So, without further ado, I present my first MOC: a 12-gun, 2-masted, fore-and-aft rigged schooner. Port Side. Schooner 4B Starboard Side. The head-on view. And a view of the stern. Comments and criticism are welcome. If you would like additional shots of different angles, just ask and I will be happy to oblige.

  21. Hi, everyone on this forum! The Force Awakens sets is already available to buy, but except the 75099 Rey's Speeder, 75100 First Order Snowspeeder and 75103 First Order Transporter, I not very impressed with the others, espiecally the 75102 because of several inaccuracies when compared to the trailer. As a example, the wings on 75102 don't close like in the trailer. So, I builded this T-70 based on what a Lego T-70 X wing suppose to look like in my thinking. It's heavily based on 9493, but the cockpit canopy and the wings are different from 9493 and 75102. Incom T-70 X wing Starfighter lxf picture by ArmstrongYong, on Flickr Sorry about the longer laser cannon. I just realized that mistake after I posted this topic. Some screenshots of this T-70 X wing using both LDD and BlueRender. T-70 X-wing Screenshot 1 by ArmstrongYong, on Flickr T-70 X-wing Screenshot 2 by ArmstrongYong, on Flickr T-70 X-wing Screenshot 3 by ArmstrongYong, on Flickr Yes, the astromech droid you seen in the picture up there is the old R2-D2 type. I know it suppose to designed to fit the new astromech droids like BB-8, but I prefer this design more, so I designed it like that. Need a LDD file of this model ? Download it by pressing here. (If you interested) Note: The actual LXF File may vary from the pictures in this topic. Any comments, critisms, and suggestion are welcome.
  22. Inspired by the new Star wars figures, I took a shot at making DC figures in the same style. From Left to right: Joker, Robin, Batman, Superman, and Lex Luthor. Although none of them are final, the one who will receive the most change is Batman, as I want to give him a grapple gun. Please, give me feedback on how to do better, or compliment me. The eight long shell, the 2-part chest plate, and the armor add-on pieces represent the new star wars pieces, The heads are just there to give them a head, since they would require new pieces. (and in Batman and the Joker's case, pieces that aren't in LDD at this point) Brickshelf folder when active (contains individual pics of each, along with Lex Luthor's build): http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=558843 LXF file : Super Heroes.lxf
  23. Having had to pack away my Lego collection because of the birth of my first child I now primarily build using LDD. A great program but you can get carried away easily and build things using rare bricks in non available colours. I decided to challenge myself to build something 'realistic'. By realistic I mean a reasonable number of pieces, a solid construction (no one-stud-connection for heavy constructions) and a minimum usage of parts in a non-available colour. Because I used to build modulars before packing away the collection, I ended up starting a digital one as well. Inspired by the Dr. McScrubs minifigure I decided to start work on a hospital. Now, I wanted to build the kind of old hospital which you find in a lot op European city centres: former houses for the old, the poor and sickbays run mostly by the church. Nowadays I lot of these buildings have fallen in to other uses, but why not build a functional out of LEGO? Update time: Having almost lost all progress due to a corrupt save file if not for a member of the Eurobricks forum I recently had the chance to continue work on the clinic. Although I am not really happy with the part above the gate I focused primarily on the third floor. I am reasonably happy with the smaller windows but not so much with the big one. In terms of interior (which doesn't let itself well for rendering) there is now a pharmacy and reception on the first floor and a psychologists office and staff room on the third floor. Picture time: Feedback appreciated! UPDATE 11/9 Spend some more time. After having build a majestic staircase I realised this messed up the floor plan of the upper floor to much, so I settled for a elevator at the rear of the building. Some more pics: Feedback again greatly appreciated. September 6th After some two hours in LDD, this is what I've come up with. Feedback is greatly appreciated. The next step will be planning the stairs and/or the elevator.
  24. Hello, everyone. I have another MOC to present you today. This one is based off of the A-Wing Starfighter as seen in Star Wars: Rebels season 2. It's based on the 2013 A-Wing model, but with many changes made in order to closer match the starfighter as seen on television. Playfeatures include retractable landing gear, opening cockpit window, and hidden storage compartments. Minifigures include Commander Sato, Ahsoka Tano, and an A-Wing pilot. This set rests at 213 pieces. Any comments, criticisms, or thoughts are welcome and encouraged! I've included the .lxf file for those who would like to fiddle with the design themselves. More pictures as well as another download for the .lxf file can be found here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=558711 (Note: folder may be private until approved) A-Wing Starfighter.lxf
  25. Today is the 500th anniversary of the death of the great painter Hieronymus Bosch. As such, here's a creation inspired by a figure in his Temptation of Saint Anthony. She only really has one function: her back splits in half to store a figure, a few accessories for said figure and several crates of globlins (originally for the shooting function I abandoned when redesigning her head). Not counting her hair or the joints used in the function, she's got 18 points of articulation. For more information on her design process, see here. Gallery Inspiration I hope you guys like her. Comments and criticism appreciated!
