I felt this warranted a separate topic since I have completed my Ecto-1 modification. When I first bought Ecto-1 I was excited that it became an official set, but lacked many of the qualities I remember from the film. Flails did a beautiful rendition of the car in June 2014 and gave away the LDD file on his site. I rebuilt the interior and heavily modified his file to suite my needs. From his interior appearance I would say its about 70% his design, but I wanted several things shown from the film inside this car. Major Improvements: 1. Roof rack. I used Brickarms' Monopod, two U-Clips, Brick Train's 1-N Ladder, and a cut down LEGO bar to achieve a more accurate depiction. I wish the Ladder was smoother and not 3d Printed. Maybe I will find time to cut LEGO Ladders and glue them together to make this better. 2. The front driver's seat includes a nice slope bench seat as did the old cadillac. 3. I also reworked the floor and computer terminal in the back seat area to fit the actual echo-1. 4. All new front headlights build. I wanted the tires and lights sit the way you see them in the film. Closer to the front. 5. The structure inside the car underneath the seats and trunk were completely reworked so it was stronger. 6. One of the most notable differences are on the rear tail fins. I am quite proud of making these 4 studs long instead of 3 studs. I understand why LEGO did it since there are tires behind them, but with slight changes on the structure, the 4 stud wedge plates look much closer to the sleek ambulance. 7. Blue hose modification. I use two white Brickarms U-Clips and a cut down flex cable. 8. Everything is now Chromed What I may do now that I have all my parts, cut down the red bars on the roof and make it 2 studs long. You can download the final LDD file here http://www.chrisehno...cto1_051016.lxf You can see the rest of the album here on my new flickr page: https://flic.kr/s/aHskDhtzJT LEGO Echo-1 Mod by Chris Ehnot, on Flickr LEGO Echo-1 Mod by Chris Ehnot, on Flickr LEGO Echo-1 Mod by Chris Ehnot, on Flickr LEGO Echo-1 Mod by Chris Ehnot, on Flickr LEGO Echo-1 Mod by Chris Ehnot, on Flickr LEGO Echo-1 Mod by Chris Ehnot, on Flickr LEGO Echo-1 Mod by Chris Ehnot, on Flickr LEGO Echo-1 Mod by Chris Ehnot, on Flickr

Let's see if we can guess which one will be the next project approved on LEGO Ideas!

This is the latest addition to my arsenal of microscale Batman baddie vehicles. My friend, Omar Ovalle made a Mr. Freeze microfigure (he also edited the first photo). I thought he needed a vehicle and this was the result! For ideas, I looked to polar research vehicles, past and present. That's why the vehicle is big and has treads. It is also functional; The front end is meant to look like a snow plow at first. But they can turn into hands, capable of capturing Batman! The Ice Crawler's trailer carries an icy prison. This was also made as an update to our LEGO Ideas project, "Mini Battle for the Batcave," which you can see here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/120166 Who should be next in line for a micro vehicle?

I hope posting this here does not violate any forum rules. I would like to introduce the Ten Wheeler Project: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/129767 All Aboard! Come along with Katie as she visits the mighty Ten Wheeler steam engine with her Dad. Engineer A.J. is waiting to give them a full tour of the iron horse, a fine example of steam engines from the end of the 19th century in the United States. Katie is excited to show off her own LEGO model of the Ten Wheeler to Engineer A.J., and her father is there to capture the whole day on film. The Ten Wheeler is highly detailed, featuring working pistons, interior cab details, whistle, and handholds. For kids and kids at heart, the model can be pushed or powered by LEGO Power Functions elements, and is fully capable of navigating LEGO curves and switches. The Motor, Battery Box, and IR Receiver can all be mounted completely inside the tender. For those looking for a display model, you would be hard pressed to find a more fitting mantelpiece. For those looking for a challenge, this build features advanced, legal construction techniques providing an excellent building experience. This is a cosmetically modified version of a model I regularly feature at public LEGO Train Club displays and conventions, and has proven itself as a reliable performer. She can navigate through tighter turns and spaces that many of my other LEGO Train Models simply cannot go. Thank you for your consideration. --Tony

Firstly, I'm not that type of guy who purchases multiple sets however the '21109 - Exo-Suit' was one of them along with '70816 - Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP' which I got two of (one to display and one for parts.) Both sets got me into designing MOC's so they have a very special place in my heart. I managed to purchase three copies of the Exo-Suit: one for personal collection with a signed box by Legoloverman andlego_nabii (flic.kr/p/pWVcdC), one I used for parts to build my own Neo-Classic Space MOC's and I still had one sealed. (At the time it was another copy for a parts pack and the cool Minifigures.) I've been questioning myself for a while now with what to do with the extra copy I own. Yesterday I set myself a task to build an alternative model only using pieces from ‘21009 - Exo-Suit.' inspired by the LEGO Movie (2014) 2-in-1 sets. This model contains about 80% of the pieces from that set. It's inspired by the 'Turtle' included with '21109 - Exo-Suit' but it's a larger version of the turtle that can be piloted by a Minifigure,' so essentially it's a Turtle Exo-Suit but I prefer to call it 'Turtle XL.' Firstly, a HUGE thank you to LEGO for sending me this wonderful set, and to Eurobricks for letting me do this review. When I first heard this was going to be a set, designed by Mark Stafford no less, I was super excited to see what he would do for us. When the wonderful promo video was posted last week, it looked better than I had hoped. Set Information: Name: Exosuit Set Number: 21109 Pieces: 321 Price: $34.99 Ages: 12+ Minifigs: 2 Theme: LEGO Ideas Year of Release: 2014 Brickset Flickr Set Box: The front of the box has a moon background, along with what appears to be a space base. (Though possibly the space ship where the Exosuit was discovered) It also features the Exosuit logo, and the LEGO Ideas logo. Let me say now that I was surprised at how small the box was. There is very little extra room in this box. The back shows an alternate image for the set as well as the names for the astronauts; Pete and Yve. Along the left hand side, there's a small blurb about how the LEGO Ideas program works. And the 1:1 image is of Pete our first Classic Green Spaceman! Contents: There were four bags in the box, along with two loose pieces. I'm naming this printed tile the "Mark Stafford." I just love the print so much. Can you believe this is my first one??? The new plant bowls are pretty neat too. And here are our extra parts. The number of extra parts surprised me actually. Manual: The front of the manual has the same image as the box. It also shows the sheer number of languages that this manual is printed with. Seriously, it's a lot. And note that this manual is bound nicely like the Architecture theme. The first page goes into detail about the making of the set, this page also shows some classic space sets. The second page has more details about the making of the set as well as Mark and Pete. The next four tell the back story that, I assume, Pete created for the model, accompanied by some lovely pictures. The manual is printed in black and I had no problems with coloring. Every few pages, there is a small picture and some text describing all of the parts that are on the Exosuit. One of the last pages goes much more into detail about the LEGO Ideas process. We have a new WIN! image! I think this minifigure looks much more like an AFOL. Minifigures: Here we have Pete and Yve! They're your typical neo-classic space men. There's really not a whole lot to Class Spacemen. No back print, or double sided heads. The Build: After the minifigures you build the turtle. It's great to see one of Pete's more popular MOCs in a LEGO set. Then the little stand thingy. And lastly you get to the suit! First you build the body Then the legs. And lastly the arms. Then your Exo Suit is complete! Finished Model: And the completed set! I was expecting just the suit, but I won't say no to one of Pete's turtle bots as well as an extra astronaut. The turtle just looks great. Mark threw just enough silver parts in to make it look mechanical. The only problem I have is the guns aren't big enough. I'm not sure what to call this other than a play feature; because that's all it adds to the set. For how simple it is, I think it looks pretty damn good. Front view. Wow, it just looks SO good! The greebling is perfect, the color blocking is good, and Mark did a great job hiding the various Technic/Bionicle parts the make up the joints. Side view. I think this is the worst possible view for this set. You can see all of the connecting bits. And the back. It's obviously not supposed to be viewed from behind, but I think it doesn't actually look too bad. Were you starting to wonder where this was? It's just such a sweet piece and I actually didn't have any before now. Most of the greebeling is here; so here's a close up of the wonderful work Mark did with this. It is very flexible, allowing for wonderful poses like this one. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this guy. Took a little balancing, but I did manage to pose this way too. The hands work quite well, he has no problem holding the barrels. This is the closest thing I have to a LEGO mecha built right now. Wow that Ent is big. Conclusion: Have I mentioned how much I love this set? I can't imagine what else I would add to this to make it better. It's just that good. The greebling is excellent, the pose-ability is great, and it just looks awesome. I think this would make a great discussion pieces on ones desk at work. Great job Mark, Pete, and the LEGO team! I already planning on getting a second. Ratings: Playability: 8/10 For what it is, it's pretty sturdy and I can see a child playing with this. Design: 7/10 I took a few points off here because it isn't exactly like Pete's original model, but it's still great. Price: 10/10 $35 seems perfect for this set. Minifigures: 9/10 I am just in love with the Green Classic Spacemen. Parts: 8/10 This set not only gives you a great main model, but it's an excellent parts pack too. Total: 42/50 "When is it my turn?!" Like this review? Want to learn how to make good reviews? Then join the Reviewers Academy!

Click any image for a larger picture. Tinker Bell is an extremely popular character, originally created by J. M. Barrie, and currently owned by the Walt Disney Company. I believe fans of Disney and LEGO would love to build this rendition of her. In my concept model, her arms, legs, head, and wings can be moved to achieve various poses. I had thought about buying the pieces to build Tinker Bell in real life, but most of her 199 pieces do not yet exist in the colors I chose--such as the Light Nougat (a.k.a. Light Flesh) in her head, arms, and legs. If my concept of Tinker Bell were to be produced, it might be possible to use Brick Yellow (a.k.a. Tan), a more common color, in place of Light Nougat. However, after trying that in LEGO Digital Designer, I noticed that Tinker Bell's skin looked unnatural. In real life, Brick Yellow might look better than it does in LEGO Digital Designer. While designing my concept, I tried to preserve a realistic appearance while still allowing for movement of joints. The arms and head were especially challenging. Although my concept has brick-built eyes, I think custom decals would look better. Feel free to inspect my concept in LEGO Digital Designer. Here is the posed model, and here is a straight standing version. Please vote for my concept on LEGO Ideas. If you have friends and/or relatives that might like this model, please tell them to sign up and vote for it too. Thank you in advance for your support! -Toa Of Justice

Hey everyone! With the release of LEGO Ideas this past week, I thought I should decide to make a project, because I haven't made one for a while. I thought of making the Mall of America LEGO Store, in Minnesota, 20 minutes away from me. I'm currently working on it as I speak - this thread will be just to show my progress on it so far, so when it's done, I can submit it. At this moment, I don't have much. Just the checkout table and a possible Build-a-Minifig stand. The point of this thread is to show the progress on this MOC. I'll post updates at least every week. Feedback is greatly appreciated, so I can continue working on and improving what the final store will look like! Thanks for looking! -Sci

Happy New Year to all I thought this may warrant a new thread for this project / update. Some may remember last year I posted these first version models up here: http://www.eurobrick...929&hl=caterham To cut a long story short I got overwhelmed with requests at shows of how "can I get one?", "put it on ideas", etc so after many months I finally did 4 weeks ago, with a view to making them completely "set friendly" and legitimate builds. So, I'm showing these new versions which are completely legit build wise now as ideas to throw into the mix for the project. I hope you like them and if you do, please help support the project by voting and or spreading the word. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/87703 It is on its way to the half way stage after 4 weeks of being live and Caterham themselves are also "routing" for it to happen, so all good news so far R500 620R and R500 Both models feature a rolling chassis, positionable front steering, removable nose cone, bonnet / hood , tonneau cover and wheels to reveal more detail. The blue 620R version has a removable engine, whilst the white R500 has a working piston engine and linked steering. These are not the final versions, just more ideas to throw into "what could possibly be" and a variety of colour options are available. Hello! I'm here with a new MOC! In LDD I created a Batmobile. But not any Batmobile... Batman Beyond's Batmobile. With this being a unique asset to Batman and it's an overlooked yet popular variant of the Batmobile. Yet we still haven't gotten one. That's where LEGO Ideas kicks in gear. Anyways you want to see the MOC now! Here is an areal view of the Batmobile. Clocking in at about 330 pieces. This is an unstoppable force of justice when fighting futuristic gangs! The picture I like showing off is this one. Just the main view of the Batmobile and it's glory! And here's the rear view! Thanks for looking at my MOC! Feedback would be great and so would a support for the project! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/81793

Hi, After spending a lot of time on my first food truck project, I have decided to build an existing one, but something different and fun. "El Camiòn" (or Cantina Mexicana) is that food truck .Since summer 2013, the team cooks ones of the best burritos of Lille (France). And the humor is always there : For example, the mysterious cook wear a westler's mask.. I have changed the design of my previous truck to obtain this: LDD file - The giant red pepper on the roof was necessary! Do not hesitate to give me you comments! I have put it on LEGO Ideas too. So, if you want to support it! Thank you!
