Kinda hard for me to decide where the share this. I primarily work with Technic for building MOCs, but occasionally I build with system bricks so I will take a more general approach and post it here. I won't post too many details here.... because I have already done a full write-up about the topic of discussion here: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/422976 Essentially, many of us love to share our MOCs on social media sites. There are many. I use Mocpages. Love or hate it (and there are many reasons to hate it), that is what I use. Not going to discuss the pros and cons here. But, I think it is fun to examine the "liveliness of a MOC" by the views it gets through time. Not "likes" - but views. "likes" die off to nearly nothing over time, even for the most popular MOCs, and not even available on many sites (brickshelf, etc.). But views give us much to look at, even if a MOC is very old (posted a long time ago). So, I examined my MOC submissions this way. I looked at the relationship between time and views for my mocs. Kinda fun, I recommend others do the same. I know there are many more sophisticated models and procedures to look at this relationship, but I focused on simplicity to maximize the availability of such an examination to many people. Fun to see what our most "lively" (aka... IMO best) builds are..... Dang it.... just realized there is a specific area for "multimedia" and this section deals with primarily "media" as in video games. If there is an administrator that sees this post, feel free to move it to a more appropriate forum area.

My entry to Round 2 of the 2014-15 Middle Earth LEGO Olympics over on MOCpages. I was tasked to build a scene with Fili as the focus. His best scene is at the end of An Unexpected Journey when Bilbo is about to get killed while protecting Thorin, and he (along with Kili and Dwalin) rush in to save them both. You'll find more pictures and a lengthier description here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/404861

This was a back-up entry to the Middle Earth LEGO Olympics on MOCpages. I built it before hand just in case the entry I actually submitted (which you can see here: http://www.eurobrick...00#entry2103221) didn't work out. :) The category is to take a song from the Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit movies (this one being "May It Be," which is played during the credits in Fellowship of the Ring) and interpret it into a build. I don't really have thoughts on why I chose this scene, other than the fact that whenever I heard the song, this one always came to mind. :)

MOCpages used to allow embedded videos. I have done it before with success. However, when I embed a video, it says it is no longer allowing iframes. Does anyone know what this is all about? How do I add videos now in MOCpages?

My entry to Round 2 of The Tourney 2015 over on MOCpages. It would seem that the "wild boar" my character is chasing may not be as wild as he originally thought.

Hello All, Although this is probably more appropriate for MOCpages forum, the forum has little activity and is not nearly as cool as eurobricks! -- so I am posting my question here. I know that many are members of MOCpages so I am looking for a little help. I am about to post a new project (on mocpages) but all my last projects, when I post the photos are small except for the main photo. Now, one can click on the image and it will blow up, but the initial impression that people get is a small photo. This has not always been the case, and I have not changes anything about how I post the pics (see my unimog versus my rockcrawler in yellow; initially, (crawler) the photos are all large, but the unimog, all the pics other than the main one are small). They are of good size for web pages (around 600x800) so the actual size of the pic is not the problem, and from my memory I have not changed the size of the pictures that I post. I want my pics to be posted around the same size of those seen on my rockcrawler (yellow) project. You can see all the pictures that I am referring to on my pages (see signature block). Did MOCpages change something? I would just put each pic here but it will not show up the same size as it does on my page, you have to go to my page to see what I am talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I am not a huge fan of MOCpages however it is hard to deny that they have some interesting contests happening over there. I'm sure that many of you have heard of the MocAthalon contest, but if you haven't, it is a competition in which there are 30 different categories in which to build. Each team will try to build in as many of the categories as they can. Each team is compromised of 5 members. Here's a link to the group on MOCpages. Is anyone interested in creating a EB team to steal the gold medal? If so comment here or send a PM!

My entry to Round 1 of the Middle Earth LEGO Olympics over on MOCpages. The category is to take a song from the Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit movies, my choice being "Edge of Night," performed by Billy Boyd (Pippin) in Return of the King, and interpret it into a build. :)
