Modular buildings will soon be turning 10 years old. Lego 10182 Cafe Corner, for instance, is from 2007. That's six years a go.
The line may only be a few years old (or a bit older than that), but I believe it's already an all-time AFOL favorite.
So, even if we AFOLS are supposed to have more money than kids, isn't it the time to re-release some of the older modular sets?
They are just too expensive right now. You can find some of them on ebay for prices that go as far as a couple thousand "moneys" (choose your own preferences ). It's not that different in Lego-buy-sell-trade websites. And it's getting harder and more expensive to get those older sets.
I know I miss a Cafe Corner in my Lego city (at least one, but I'd buy more of that set!), and a Market Street would be a fine addition too. Not to mention the Green Grocer... Or maybe three or five.
ButI digress. My point is: Lego, please, please with sugar on top, think about a "Modular Legends" line or something along those lines... People want those old modular sets and they will buy it if you re-release them. We all ove the new modulars, that's for sure, and we can buy them now, but it's getting harder and harder to get the older ones. Help us with those!
