  2. My take on what I might ride hence I would survive the apocalypse.. =) Most of the time I try to create builds that are somewhat stylistically pure in its asthetics. I'm very fussy about the correct colors for all the parts as I dont want the wrong areas fo the bike(usually) to stand out and attract attention from the details I want to highlight. You may have noticed that I took another route this time...=) To be able to make the bike look a bit ragged I've put alot of effort to find parts in; old grey, dark grey and brown and mixing them up with the newer colors. Sand green happens to be one of my favourite colors and I think it goes well with the rest! When I saw the shoulder piece from the new Star Wars figures I immediately new that I would like to us it as a housing for the headlamp. Finding the right technique to get it in place wasn't easy though... The engine is a parallell-twin with turbo and intercooler. Somekind of injectible gas/liquid (what might it be in the post-apocalyptic world?) container is also added for increased performance when needed! (I noticed when editing the pictures that the relief valve is a bit twisted though - bummer!) An extra petrol tank could also come in handy - dont you think? In the lst pictures I've added some other bits and bobs for surviving in the wasteland.. See you on the other side...;) You can find all of the images on my Flickr: https://www.flickr.c.../107288644@N07/
  3. The BMW R75 is a WW2 motorcycle and sidecar combination produced by the German company BMW in 1938.
  4. Hi, this time I used some parts from MIXELS 41554-56 to create this motorcycle. Hope you all like my creation!
  5. Hello, this is the 1st motorcycle MOC I made. Inspired by the color "Medium Azure", the major parts from the Simpsons House and the Technic set 42050 Dragster. The photos Front Side look Back look The detail and other picture can be found in the video introduction as below:

  7. Hi to all, This is my last creation Cafe Racer style motorcycle based on Moto Guzzi. It has simple clutch system with longitudinal V2 engine and cardan drive. No yellow parts used by the way Short video about simple clutch system. Comments and critics are welcome
  8. I recently added one of my all-time favorite Technic sets ever, the 8420 Street Bike. The 8420 features many unique parts such as the rims and staggered width tires, printed windscreen, brake discs and rear shock. The overall look is that of an Italian superbike and the designers were obviously influenced by the Ducati 999 but also the Gilera CX as seen by the front and rear single sided wheel mounts. I added panels to the gas tank area to fill it in and a gas cap on top. I would do a full review but there is no way I could match the already excellent write-up by Starstreak found here. Having bought this set used I was curious if the set came with the rubber tires already on the rims in the box? I noticed the tires on my set are opposite of each other, with the tread pattern in different directions. It seems like a lot of 8420's have this same issue since many photos show the same thing.
  9. Gotham Hostage The dynamic duo, Batman & Robin; attempt to foil the Joker’s hostage of Gotham Bank. Little do they know, the Joker and his henchmen are one step ahead! Gotham Hostage Gotham Anarchy Enjoy ~Nemo
  10. This model is inspired by the Super Cycle as seen in The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Movie Video Game. I originally wanted to wrap chain track elements around a modern turntable element, similar to how the original models had chain track elements wrapped around an extra-large gear. Unfortunately, that didn't work out in LDD, so I settled for a standard wheel and tire combo instead. In addition, I couldn't find the correct torso and leg prints for Wyldstyle and Emmet, so I decided to be creative with their outfits. Click or tap any image for a larger version. 11. I'm putting the Moc here since it was build in LDD. If it belongs in the action themes forum please move it. I was bored and felt like building a skeleton motorcycle. So I did. The motorcycle was design specifically to fit a Ninjago Skeleton. It is able to hold a normal minifigure as well. All the parts used should exist IRL so technically a real life version could be built. Anyways here are pics (The silver 1x1 round tile would have had the gauge printing on it http://www.bricklink...sp?P=98138pb010) http://www.brickshel...chopper_001.png http://www.brickshel...chopper_002.png http://www.brickshel...chopper_003.png http://www.brickshel...chopper_004.png
  12. Since there are images available without watermark, I think it is time to give the 42036 its own topic as well. I copied my post from the general 2015 Technic topic and pasted it here as a topic starter: As a motorbike rider and fan of most Technic bikes, I must say that I'm disappointed in the 42036. - It presents no new technical challenges like an interesting way of propulsion (through a drive shaft for example), exciting swing-arm configuration, new engine layout (would love a boxer) nor gearbox. - The aesthetics are not very satisfying as well: The body shape is not very pleasing and looks unfinished, the windscreen is too bulky, the stickers for the saddle look poor and the rear tire is too skinny for this type of bike. It almost looks like a B-model. - I really miss attention to details which would be possible in this scale: No license plate at the rear, no fuel filler cap, no realistic dials, no brake and clutch handles, no radiator, it doesn't even have foot pegs. - I appreciate the light blue panels, but as a whole the color scheme doesn't work for me. I would have loved a Martini color scheme with orange, white and light blue, but I guess this is copy-righted. This could and should have been done much better, I'll MOD it for sure, but with all the modifications, it will probable be more like a MOC. I'm curious in the B-model of this set, could be better than the A-model in this case.
  13. I was recently drawn out of my dark age with the wonderful new Arctic sets and this is one of the first MOCs I've done since I was in high school. I would have liked to make a few different color/part choices, but you gotta work with what you have, and right now I don't have much. But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out overall. C&C welcome. The initial inspiration to do an Arctic motorcycle came from this picture from Popular Science: After I put this together, I Googled Lego sidecars and discovered that TLG did a motorcycle and sidecar set in the Indiana Jones line (7620). They use a much sturdier link to keep the motorcycle and sidecar together and I might try to make another model using their conection method as this one is pretty weak. But for now I don't have the pieces. It can survive a little bit of pushing, but certainly won't hold up to much play involving kids. Edit: figured out how to post pics from Flickr
  14. This year, The LEGO Group has came up with all new sets for their adored City line. One of these sets is 60000 Fire Motorcycle. This little set is a great addition to anyone's collection and a must-have for fans of the LEGO City Fire sets. So go ahead and read this review! BASIC INFORMATION: Set Name: Fire Motorcycle Set Number: 60000 Number of Pieces: 4 Minifigs: 1 Price: £4.99 / US$6.99 Theme: City (Fire) Year Released: 2013 RESOURCES: LEGO Shop @ Home Brickset LEGO.com Bricklink THE REVIEW: The Box Front: A typical looking LEGO City set box. Nice that The LEGO Group tries to make it look better than it is. With bright flames and cement on the ground. Side: I love the new Fire fighter! He looks a lot more realistic than the one before. But we will go into the minifig later on. Back: The back of the box shows all of the features of the set. You see the rockin' motorcycle and the recycling bin. You also see the set in action that it will probably never realistically see. Instructions Front: Just like the box, a typical scene. Again it shows the set in action. The sun looks like a flash from camera. Instructions Image: The instructions are made for young boys. Thus making them really easy. This set is not a challenge to build, but it is fun. To bad my instructions had a little smudge. Contents: What a variety! Here's the bricks, all forty of them. You can see that you get many different colors with set. I am loving the big red motorcycle piece. No printed pieces, only stickers. (Dreaded) Sticker Sheet: I don't have anything to say about stickers. Extra Pieces: After you are done with the build you will find your extra pieces. In this set you get lots of extra pieces, which you should at $6.99 for 40 pieces. Minifig Front and Back Comparison Shot: I just wanted to do a comparison to show you how much more realistic the fire fighter is. The old one looked like a Halloween costume while the new one looks like a real fire fighter. The back of this minifig is really good. It is nice see that The LEGO Group has taken care in the back of this guy's torso. The Fire Motorcycle Build Process The Motorcycle before the armor: This is a pretty neat little picture. It's the motorcycle before the spice. I think it is a ingenious idea for stands. And let's move on! The Finished Motorcycle: Here she is in all her glory. Isn't she a fine thing? The motorcycle looks very modern and slick. Although I usually don't like big molds, I think The LEGO Group did good here. Additional Shots of the Motorcycle: I really like how these photos came out. They give three different sides of the motorcycle. I'll start with the back. The back of the motorcycle looks simply like the back. It isn't fancy so I think a back is a back. The two side look lovely, however I do not like the stud above the back wheel. It makes it less realistic. Other than that it looks great and as I said, modern. Comparison Shot: Which one should he choose? I think the choice is obvious. LEGO has come a long way as you can see in this picture. The Recycling Bin: This is a nice little bin. The sticker ( ) is clear so you can use it elsewhere. The only bad thing is that the lid is the to long. The Full Set: All and all, it isn't a bad set. It comes with some really cool stuff. Different Full Shot: Here is a different shot of the full set. You see the nice little minifig on his sleek motorcycle. This shot also gives you a good image of the fire extinguisher. It is a good little tool, but I feel that TLG could put a round 1x1 stud on the bottom of it to cover the whole. But other than that it's great. So let's see how it adds up! Totals: Design: 7/10 I think the design is simple. It is a small set so I can't be to picky. The the recycling bin is pretty sad to be honest. But I think the motorcycle makes up for it. I can't get over how awesome it is. But again the recycling bin is to simple. Parts: 6/10 Not really much pieces to MOC with. Well then again there are only 40 pieces. But there aren't really any bad pieces. Build: 9/10 It is a easy build. The LEGO City theme is geared for kids so any AFOL shouldn't have any trouble building this set. It was a rather fun build, perhaps because it was so easy. Minfigs: 10/10 I love this new fire fighter! He looks realistic and cool. I love his head as it looks rather neat. For a small set like this, a great minifig! Playability: 10/10 This set was made for play ability This set is a great one if you want to play with it. It even comes with a fire! Price: 7/10 At a little over 12 cents per brick it's a little pricey. I think this set could easily be $4.99 or so. But it does come with a cool fig and motorcycle. Total: 49/60 As I have said, it's a good set, but not great. I think wouldn't hurt to go buy it, but you can't be expected lots. The set doesn't really come with some awesome pieces besides the big red motorcycle mold which some people wouldn't call awesome. I really enjoyed doing this review and I'll let you guys decide how good the set is.

  16. So, I wanted to have a display model in a shelf, and I asked myself; "what is the best looking set I have that is not too large?" The answer was obviously 8240 8420 Street Motorcycle However, as i finished building the model, I must admit I wasn't as impressed as the last time I built it. Some things had to be improved.. I'll just show the pictures of my modded model, and list the changes at the bottom. Hope you like it! Pictures are clickable for much higher resolution, or you can check out the Bricksafe gallery As was the case with the original; this is IMO the far worst angle to view it from So the most obvious visual changes I made were the following: -Sprung suspension on front wheel, while maintaining the dimensions of the original -Radiator in front of the engine -Some more panelling for the body, filling in the huge gaps there -Long, sleek panels along the seat area -Gas tank that doesn't leak as bad as the original -Large rear chain sprocket -More realistic and better looking exhaust (at least IMO) -Filled in the seat with some tiles -Reorganized the rear lights
  17. Location: D04 - Terrial Minor Tags: MANTIS, piracy, vehicle Job: Driver Start Log: After a rather uneventful mission on C04, I got another more exciting assignment: capturing some Kawashita vehicles and equipment. I even had the help of the drones I'd previously confiscated from Octan hands, though now they have a much more suitable paint job. They were pretty thrilled to receive an actual combat mission, and get to drive some sweet new MANTIS rigs: The MANTIS bulldozer/tank features a spinning cockpit, and opening cargo bay; the MANTIS hovercraft features hinging sections, the MANTIS motorcycle features an opening rollcage; and the Kawashita cargo truck features a working tailgate.
