It's admittedly been a while since I've created a MOC and with the 45th anniversary of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory coming up this year it seemed like the perfect time to put something together. So without further ado, come and join me on a whimsical tour of Mr. Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! Welcome! We begin here at the front of the factory where Willy Wonka himself has come to greet us. Yes, the new rounded windows are not available in LDD as of yet, so do me a favor and use some pure imagination to imagine that piece into the top of that window. The Entryway Next we come to the entryway. To the left you'll find Mr. Wonka's contract, freeing him of any criminal negligence should anything horrible happen to his guests. Really though what type of disasters could really befall any person in a chocolate factory? To the right we come to a set of stairs that lead us into... The Chocolate Room Inside this room nearly everything is edible. Or at least it would be if it were made from candy and not plastic. Still it looks pretty delicious. I was originally going to include the chocolate waterfall but it ultimately didn't make the cut. I seriously suck at building waterfalls and after several horrific looking attempts at it I decided the piece count would be better served elsewhere, such as... The Inventing Room Here we find miss Violet Beauregarde turning into a blueberry. This is what comes of snitching candy. Remember that in the future won't you. The tabletop on the machine does spin as seen in the movie and the mechanical red arms are adjustable. The Egg Sorting Room In this room the rotten egg, Veruca Salt, has decided to climb onto the Eggdicator. What she doesn't realize is that it drops rotten eggs down into the furnace. The doors on the Eggdicator do open and close by hand, one need only to push down on Veruca to send her down. The back is hollow so she can be safely retrieved and the doors reset. Slopes are included so that the Oompa Loompa can easily push the cart right up to the machine for easy access. The new egg mold isn't available in LDD currently, so once again please proceed to imagine two golden eggs sitting on the table. Hate to break it to everyone, but I didn't include the TV room. I initially was going to but ultimately I took it out as my design for it was pretty plain and uninspiring. It ultimately seemed like a bit of a waste. Perhaps I'll create an addition to the factory at some point with all the rooms I missed. I would have liked to include the Fizzy Lifting Drinks Room, perhaps one day... Minifigures Here we have the hero of our story, little Charlie Bucket and his loving Grandpa Joe. To their right is one of the cheeky Oompa Loompa's. To his right is none other than the owner of the factory Mr. Willy Wonka himself! Now we come to the first two Golden Ticket winners and their parents. Augustus Gloop is a rather overweight child known for his gluttony. Then there's Veruca Salt, the most bratty of them all, always demanding of her father whatever pops into mind. Poor man, he looks rather scared of her... Then there's Mike Teavee, the TV addict and his enabling mother. Violet Beauregarde is all smiles as she chews away on her three month old gum. She's a rather beastly child known for playing pranks and disrespecting her parents. Granted her car salesman father doesn't deserve much respect with his money obsessed ways. Accessories Last but not least is the famous Wonka Bar and one of the five Golden Tickets. I decided early on to design this as if it were a product that Lego could sell. This meant I couldn't include everything I wanted to, but it also made it an interesting challenge to fit as much as I could in under 1,000 pieces. I also wanted to make sure this worked as a display piece as well as a playset. This meant that if a build didn't look good or functioned poorly it didn't make the final render. I toyed with including vehicles too, but ultimately to build them at a minifigure scale it meant sacrificing certain details and functions. Unfortunately, I was unable to really perfect a design for any of the three vehicles at the desired scale, so I decided to leave them out for now. Perhaps I'll try again in the future. I have to say this was one of my most challenging MOC's. Setting limitations ultimately meant having to experiment a lot to get the most out of the piece count and ultimately it was a very satisfying process. It was also one of the most maddening Lego endeavors I've taken part in as I kept redesigning the entire thing to get it just right. Eventually I just had to decide it was done or else lose my sanity. I hope you enjoyed the tour and if you would like to make this dream a reality and this reality a dream please head on over and become a supporter! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/131256 And remember kids to tip your tour guide. Or else they might push you into a chocolate river...

Hi everyone! After some very kind words from users here in regards to my large black (but a bit boring) CMF Display Stand (HERE), I wanted to share with you the display stand I made for the LEGO Movie CMF figures. There was no question for me that the Movie minifigures should get their own stand, since they are not part of the main CMF lineup (remember when these were rumoured to be Series 12?). So with that in mind, I had decide on how to display them. Using the amazing LEGO Movie logo was a no-brainer! The 'THE' is my favourite part of the logo! The logo is a separate unit to the minifigure stands and looks really effective as a MOC when displayed on its own. The yellow and black tiles that you can see at the front and back of the logo are part of a support plate structure that prevents the logo from overbalancing and tipping forward or backwards. The logo was the easy bit compared to the rest of this MOC. I had a lot of trouble thinking of a way to display the Minifigures around the logo and what I kept coming back to was the 'construction' theme of the movie and of the posters in particular. So with that in mind, I went with the idea of scaffolding and made a kind of scaffolding framework that would stand underneath the logo and curl around it. The scaffolding uses 304 of the 'Light Sword / Wand' parts in light bluish gray. Getting each of the eight stands to be identical in size and shape required very careful and precise use of a pair of pliers (suitably padded) to insert each wand to the correct depth. Pushing one wand in too deep or not enough would alter the shape of the individual stand. I learnt this early on when my second stand was a different size to my first. I had to scrap them both and start again, using a larger frame made of plates that fit around the stand, making sure the insertion depth was consistent between stands. As I did on my previous CMF stand, I printed out custom stickers with the character's name and applied them to 1x4 white tiles to act as nameplates. Thanks for looking! Now a Lego Ideas Project! Please Support by voting at: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/65675 "Your precious armory, gratefully accepted! We will need it." - Bane The Dark Knight Trilogy by Christopher Nolan gave us a fresh and realistic reboot of the Caped Crusader, and with it many of Batman's iconic vehicles. These are my renditions of the Tumblers in camouflage versions, reproduce with lego bricks in 2 seaters minifig scale and staying as close to the original movie design as best I can. The base design of these of course are similar to my Tumbler and Bat Pod project. Each Tumbler measures about 19cm(L) x 12cm(W) All three versions have been faithfully recreated: The original Camo Tumbler, the Tumbler with a Turret/Cannon and the Tumbler with a Missile Launcher. In this case, only the original Camo Tumbler can be a 2 seater as the other 2 versions both have a weapon occupying the space where the passenger seat will be. Both the Turret and the Missile Launcher can be retracted to an inactive position. The set can be launched as a single camouflage tumbler with additional parts for the other 2 alternate builds. The set can also include different variations of Bane's outfits as seen in the movie. Now a Lego Ideas Project! Please Support by voting at: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/65675

So, a lot of the Avengers character that were released were movie accurate. Fair enough since that movie has put enough capital into Marvel to keep them going for a few years. But when they started releasing the other characters, they were Cartoon accurate. Again fine, so I split my Avenger mini figs into two groups, Movie and Comic. This is a custom Movie Falcon. I used the Knock off Hawk Eye that you can buy on Ebay for about $3, then replaced his arms with black arms. Fitted a black 1x1 stud bib and a Travis block and then added a pair of Lego wings from the Chima line, finally finished with a Red translucent wedge for the rocket burn. https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/t31.0-8/1040422_10153286783167656_7833682590755516325_o.jpg

Hello all, I present to you my newest creation : Uni-kitty's Enchanted Castle. Featuring an excellent fruit juice and salad/sandwich bar on the ground floor, with penguin slide and waterfall, pineapples and general craziness. The castle was designed by Uni-kitty one day when he smoked too much of a special plant. He's growing this plan on top of one of his castle turrets. To be a bit more serious, I've combined two of Cloud cuckoos palace, together with the Friends fruit juice bar and also several friends animal packs. What do you think? PS - "too many colours' nu uh it's meant to be crazy :)

I've just completed and uploaded a short mock battle between brickfilms and CGI animations made using Blender. The concept was from my friend, and he supplied the Blender footage. I filmed the brickfilm contributions and edited it all together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6jXQA51Spc

As this was originally a reply to a Request Thread request, I thought I would actually add more and more to it, as I'd love to make some of the James Bond characters from the new movie, Skyfall, but also from the classic films and add them all here. As I get theme done, I'll just add them here, instead of the request thread. Hope you like and as usual your comments and critiques are definitely welcome! (Only have one design done and may not add to this for a while, as I have the Assassin's Creed designs to go back to first) Note: The following designs are original property of the designer and are provided for personal use only, alterations or use of this design for sale are only allowed by permission of the designer James Bond - Skyfall (Daniel Craig version) Though I know it is tradition to keep the eyes dark, Daniel Craig's blue eyes are so distinctive and part of his look, that I think it was necessary and needed to make them light blue. Based on this picture: Clear Version: Silva (Javier Bardem)- Skyfall Here's a work in progress face, as Silva's face is VERY difficult to get right. It may be changed and edited from time to time. For now, at least, I thought I'd release his face for those that would like to print it off and use. I think the best use for this would be with a tan torso and dark brown legs, and the tan swept back hair like here. I will also upload a version with his police decoy outfit soon, so stay tuned. Tan Suit Version (This should be sized correctly to fit the minifigure and will not need to be resized in Microsoft Word if printed off - please let me know if this is not the case) Clear Version:

This MOC is built for a building contest of Hong Kong. Every minifig is scared of being glued. They need to escape from the attack of Kragle! Help!!! How come you are so calm, Lucy? Unikitty is also under attack! Thanks for watching this!

I made this build for Swebrick's annual AFOL vs. AFOL contest which this year was about building a scene from an '80s movie of TV-series in which a vehicle was featured. The entries were anonymous during the voting that was done in knock-out stages leading up to a final which I actually won! Here is the climax scene from the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" from 1986 when Cameron's father's Ferrari crashes out of the big panorama windows: And a reference picture to the scene from the movie: Thanks for watching! /Etzel

I made a few minifigs in LDD of characters that I wish Lego would produce, although there is very little chance it would ever happen. Any guesses as to who they are (other than Wicket, of course)?

This '8x8 Vingnette' concept started with 'The Dark Knight - Interrogation Scene' vignette which was based on the #40120 Valentine's Day Dinner and #40121 Painting Easter Eggs. This one represents the 'AMC Movie Talk' studio in Burbank, California. The hardest part was to make it accurate as possible due to is contemporary design and curves, such as the table and back wall. This would include three minifigures: John Campea, Jon Schnepp and Dennis Tzeng. I have avoided the graphics on the faces since it's a nightmare to find them on LEGO Digital Designer. It would also include three AMC logo patches and one laptop. This one needs a few stickers and gaphics to make it more accurate such as the screens and the graphics on the walls. I wanted to post this week since yesterday was John Campea's last show. I will definitely will re-upload this when I own the parts and design the stickers and graphics. Render Time: 8 Hours AMC Movie Talk: https://YouTube.com/AMCTheatres I really hope you enjoyed this MOC; feedback and criticism is much appreciated. Adeel

With all the Ninjago polls floating around here, I thought I'd make another one. Ninjago has been around now for FIVE years! That is amazing for an action theme! To top that, Ninjago is in its prime now- sales are still strong and are even climbing from what I have seen. What do you think will happen to the Ninjago line in the upcoming years? Will it continue? If so, what will the overall theme be next year? Will it be canceled? Will it be replaced? What effect will the movie have on the theme? Post your opinions here!

Recently I and some friends decided to create a Lego Pirates Video Comic Series. The production's title is: "Treacherous Tides" and is in the works, aiming for release of chapter one in early May 2015. It's "just for fun" but we plan on a very immerse story line. It's not stop motion, rather, still frame images with ken burns and sound effects in addition to some cool music. We won't be doing any voice acting, instead we will be using speech bubbles. Here is a preview: (Don't watch the Batman one, it's old and not very entertaining, as it has no sound or motion.) Send me some kool names, and we might eventually use them in the series!
