Hello all! I don't normally post in this forum, and I normally don't do System MOC's very often (and the ones I do are normally in LDD, which this one is), but decided that, with the release of Muse's most recent album "Drones" and having flicked through all the amazing artistic representations of the songs on the album, I decided I wanted to MOC as many of those artworks as possible. This is the second one so far (you can view and comment on my first one, Psycho, here), named "The Handler". This one was a bit of an abstract and probably wouldn't completely work in real bricks, so I did it in LDD and did a couple of renderings of it. Firstly, the artistic rendering and comparison to the original artwork: And a plain render so you can see the true colours: I guess all I really found out from this is that 16M chains are really hard to position correctly in LDD, so please don't shoot me down because the chains aren't completely straight and impossible to connect at both ends the way I wanted! (p.s. if anyone knows how to get them straight, here's the file). Positive and constructive comments are really appreciated. If you've also got the new Muse album and would like to see more LEGO renderings of the artworks, you can say which song you'd like me to do next too. Enjoy!

A new MOC from me! If anybody really knows me or has paid attention to my signature or avatar recently, they should know I'm stark raving bonkers about Muse (a British rock band), and their recent new album got me inspired to MOC some stuff based on the promotional artworks for the songs. One such artwork is that for Psycho: It's basically a human possessed by a mind virus carrying a baby, and I thought it would make a pretty cool Constraction figure. And here's my result: A full gallery with some alternate views, poses and close-up shots can be found in this Flickr album. Yes, the mottled effect in the artwork is exceptionally difficult to achieve, and probably would have been a lot better in military colours, but since there isn't a wide range of green and olive shells out there, I just dissassembled Jetran'Rex and used silver and gunmetal instead. Comments, praise, constructive criticism, questions and stuff relating to the MOC are welcome. I think there are other places where the song and band that inspired this can be discussed Enjoy!
