  1. LEGO plans it's long-term themes for three years. Nexo Knights has an extensive marketing campaign, most likely a long-term theme. If it's a long-term theme, it will very likely last until the end of 2018. If it is successful it will most likely be extended for years to come. Please tell me if I got information wrong or if you disagree.
  2. Hello everyone! I've been wanting to do a few Neo-Classic Space, Neo-Blacktron and Neo-M-Tron MOCs for a while now, I've already done a small Neo-Classic space MOC, so I decided to do a Neo-Blacktron MOC, and more... sinister So, it's basically a one manned Blacktron small mech-walker with two walking legs, controls in the "cockpit" and laser guns. *NOTE* I don't know if you can truly call this a "mech", but it's sort of a Mech-Walker. Neo-Blacktron Mech by Brick Capone, on Flickr Frontal view. Neo-Blacktron Mech by Brick Capone, on Flickr And the back view! I'd love to hear comments, criticism and overall good feedback on how you like this!
  3. Hey guys, I'm making a petition for Lego to create these sets, and I need your help! Below, list some of your own, and I might add them to the petition. State your name and why you'd like these sets made, and others you might like. These sets probably won't be made if we don't get enough people to petition it, but a Star Wars minifig series would be an awesome way to get figures that haven't even been made yet. Below, are a list of figures that haven't been made yet, or should just still be in the packs, as well. Leave down your favorites below! Ph. 2 Commander Cody Magna Guard Newer Clone Wars version of Anakin Newer Clone Wars version of Obi Wan Newer Clone Wars version of Ahsoka Hando Ohnaka Gregor Commander Wolffe Ph. 2 Commander Fox Mace Windu Bo-Katan Shaak Ti Obi Wan- Mandalorian disguise Mas Amedda These sets would also include new blaster, and weapons! Felucia battle pack- Commander Bly, 3 star corps troopers. (Can be a mic of maybe scouts, regular troopers or airborne, so we could get a good mix) Order 66- Includes three 501st troopers, and 1 Jedi. (Minor details might include an emperor palpatine hologram, and maybe some coruscant looking environmental details.) A new utapau set with greivous and obi wan that includes the Varactyl and maybe Commander Cody. The High Council Jedi Conference room- Obi-Wan, Yoda, Mace Windu, Aayla Secura, Kit Fisto and Agen Kolar along with chairs, and holographic images of each of them. Seige on Mygeto- Ki- Adi- Mundi, Galactic marine, Commander Bacara, 2x Super Battle Droids. This set will include an tri-droid along with a Spider Droid and a speeder.
  4. I am a big fan of Ghostbusters, the old ones an the new one. I have one big question, that I have a long time. Is LEGO making 1 more set of the Ghostbusters 3 movie?
  5. Hello everyone, I am quite excited to finally register on this forum. I have been browsing Eurobricks for more than 3 years now (since I came out from my dark ages) and it's time to participate. Although I live in Germany, I come from France, 36 year old now, and got back into LEGO following the birth of my son (back to the basic with DUPLOs ). I grew up with LEGO, which was almost my only toy, from basic brick sets through classic space, pirates and Technics as I got older. I remember flipping through the catalogs and hoping to get the large sets, but unfortunately had to content myself with small ones - still provided me with many hours of building fun. Now, as an AFOL, I can enjoy financial freedom and finally get these flagship technic sets I always dreamed of. I got back into it with 42009 and was very impressed with the complexity, details and quality of the build. And I also realised at the same time that I completely missed the transformation to studless technic. I now own the last three flagship sets (and some other smaller ones) and can't wait for the massive Bucket Wheel Excavator and Class Xerion to come out. Recently I took interest in GBCs with the brilliant work Akiyuki and some of the Eurobricks members. In the mean time, I also got my wife into it with LEGO modulars which I also find fantastic, so many details. We are very slowly putting together a small city to our son delight. Overall, the forum community is very impressive, there are so many amazing MOCs and creative builders. Hopefully I can share some of my modest builds soon! Ciao!
  6. Hello there everyone. I wish you all great things in life, and hope for peace. I've read some topics on this forum lately related to Lego Elves, and thought I'd join so I could talk with fellow fans of the new Lego Elves series of sets. After my niece received some of the Lego Elves sets last year for her birthday, and then asked me to build some of them for her [and then later re-build them some months later] ---- the sets also got me interested in Lego sets again. In some ways, for parts being in colors now that I wish had been around when I was a kid in the 1990's ---- and more colors of transparent pieces, too. Anyways, there sure are lots of new fun sets now!
  7. Hi Everyone, I've been an Afol for the past 3 years, and have a fair idea of what sort of themes I like. However when I was starting out it wasn't that easy figuring out what sets or pieces I should start with, let alone what sort of themes I'd be interested in. Obviously when it comes to themes it's a personal choice, but I thought it might be a nice idea to have a topic where you help out all Afols new to the hobby, with a sort of Starter Parts list. Perhaps if you have a certain theme you enjoy, you'll find that there are certain pieces that you use over and over again. It would have been nice to stumble over something like this when I was starting out, and would have given me a bit more of a focus when it comes to my MOCS. I've got a wide range of theme interests, so I thought I'd kick off with more a basic starter kit that doesn't really focus on any particular theme. Please note I see these as the sort of pieces you should have in bulk, and will stay away from the more specialized pieces, that might not be used as much. Plants Having a variety of plants works in pretty much whatever sort of theme you enjoy. Whether its for landscapes or just to add a couple of details having a lot of these pieces always comes in handy. Plant Brick, Round 1 x 1 with 3 Bamboo Leaves Plant Flower Stem Plant Leaves 4 x 3 Plant Leaves 6 x 5 Plant Leaves 6 x 5 Swordleaf with Clip Green Plant Flower Stem 1 x 1 x 2/3 with 3 Large Leaves Brackets Brackets are great for Snot work - Having a variety of these in multiple colours (or just a couple as they are usually hidden) will help your builds look completely studless! Bracket 1 x 2 - 1 x 2 Bracket 1 x 2 - 1 x 2 Inverted Bracket 1 x 2 - 2 x 2 Inverted Bracket 1 x 2 - 2 x 2 Bricks Bricks are usually found in abundance in most Afols collections, but the ones below can certainly help with your SNOT work. Having a variety of these will certainly help. Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Stud on 1 Side Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Studs on 2 Sides Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Studs on 4 Sides Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Studs on 1 Side The below Brick is a newish Brick to LEGO, but has certainly come in handy for a variety of MOCS. If you like any sort of buildings you'll need a ton of these in a variety of colours. Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Masonry Profile (Brick Profile) Hinges Curves are always difficult to produce in LEGO. These pieces may help. Hinge Brick 1 x 4 Swivel Hinge Plate 1 x 4 Swivel Top Plates I dont think there there are any Afols out there who wouldn't place the following piece as one of the most useful pieces LEGO has created. So useful in ensuring that you can offset your bricks! Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with 1 Stud (Jumper) The following pieces are super useful in getting different angles on the builds, and I know Mecha and Robot builders have been waiting for these pieces for a long time! Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Small Towball Socket on End late, Modified 1 x 2 with Small Towball Socket on Side Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Towball on Side Slopes I don't think i need to into detail about why slopes are so useful. These are the ones i'd recommend having in bulk. Slope 30 1 x 1 x 2/3 Slope 45 2 x 1 Slope 65 2 x 1 x 2 Slope 75 2 x 1 x 3 Tiles I was going to put a list of tiles here that I thought would come in handy, but quite honestly, whatever tiles you can get your hands on in bulk (and obviously a colour you like) will always be essential. They're super useful, so having a lot of tiles in as many shapes and sizes as possible will definitely benefit you as a builder. Let us us know what your idea of a "Starter Kit" is!
  8. Hi, my name is Ian. I loved LEGO so much as a kid, but when I got to high school I went into my "Dark Ages". Fortunately, or unfortunately for my wallet, I started working at a local Toys R Us my second year in college and have fallen back in love. I've always loved Spider-man and Batman, so those are the sets I usually buy. I've managed to buy every Marvel set so far except the first Quinjet, so that's probably the line I love the most. I haven't done a lot of MOCs, but I do enjoy recreating people I know in LEGO form, that's me pre-beard as my pic. Glad to be a part of an AFOL community now!
  9. Hi euro bricks! I've been reading your post for some time and decided to register. I make mocs watch tv and live in Canada. Loved lego ever since I got my first set and just couldn't stop collecting from that point on. Love the site and hope to post more! -LazorApple
  10. I've just got back into Lego after many years, I find it very relaxing, apart from when you stand on it. I've created a Lego Ideas 66 TV Batmobile including Bat Boat and Trailer. See Link: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/70489. Any support would be much appreciated. Best wishes to everyone on this forum.
  11. Hello Lego Technic friends. I'm only 1 year with us and would like to introduce to me a few creations. Here my first self-made and its improvement six months later. Unfortunately, there are no instructions for the version 1, version 2 but it is planned. version 1 version 2 Both models are fully remote controlled Here a model, the TE009 Classic Car, inspired by CYPR21's Bugatti. This is also remotely controlled and the instructions is almost ready . Here are two pictures of rendering instructions Here is my penultimate project. 12. Am I the only person who thinks that LEGO needs to make some new armor pieces? Like in the episode Breakout, Rocka and Splitface have an armor piece (Rocka has 2) that has a axle hole on it. I really wish that LEGO would make something like that. What are your thoughts on LEGO making new armor pieces?

  15. Hey Guys! I'm kinda new around here, I created this account a while ago but I never used her and now I want to start using her. So my name is RodriskisLego, I'm a teenager and I'm from Portugal. My favorite themes are: SuperHeroes ( Dc and Marvel ) and TMNT. I have a Flickr Account: https://www.flickr.com/photos/125536914@N02/ and a Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChPwBoXopulANIBRv-geTOQ .Okay, so please give me feedback for my creations!
  16. I recently purchased a Tower Bridge 10214 from shop.lego.com and I received a brand new box design? Never seen this before!
  17. Hello Eurobricks, I've been reading and looking around quite some time now. I live in The Netherlands and I am a big fan of lego trains. I'am a member of De Bouwsteen, a Dutch LUG, Greetings, Erwin
  18. I have written up a review of this new architecture set at Rebrickable and have plenty of build photos at my Bricksafe page.
  19. April Fool's day has passed, so it's time to get serious. After building my large speed chassis with the new hubs, I was so eager to build I disassembled it right away I think I have a video, but not completely sure, because I deleted some... Anyway after a couple days of messing around with various ideas I came up with a solid prototype. Features are: 4 link connections, gear reduction 1:9-using a nifty reduction right before the 5x7 frame(which has knob wheels so I don't break any bevel gears), a telescopic driveshaft which I got from a youtube video-not sure who it was by; new 8t gears, and to top it off, my 1.9 Rok Lox tires Photos: I guess I will build a chassis then the front axle. This crawler will probably use buggy motors considering the reduction.
  20. Hi ya'll! My name is Kellie and I just recently joined Eurobricks. I can't wait to get to know everywhere and I look forward to talking to you soon. =)
  21. So I was looking through all the interesting new Mindstorms stuff, and I've found a number of parts that are of potentially great interest to us Technic builders. In this thread I will discuss the three major new parts that have been seen so far, aside from the new P- brick and the sensors, obviously. 1. New 3x11 panels (the ones in the tracks.) Part#: 6031916 What it is: This part is a redesign of the existing 3x11 curved panel. it has 8 new pin holes, and should be much easier to connect to other parts. Potential use: Crane boom, unibody vehicles. This part would be good for a variety of things that need to be strong and curved, like the boom on a crane, or a vehicle with unibody construction. However, the additional pinholes make it a bit uglier. Hopefully, it will be produced alongside it's older sibling. 2. New track cleats. (the red bits on the track.) Part#: 6036424 What it is: a (hopefully) rubber cleat that attaches to the newer style track pieces. Potential use: Tracked vehicles, joysticks. This part would solve many problems with the new tracks, like poor traction, and noise. This piece could also be used to add detail, or make more comfortable seats and joysticks. It could also be used in robot grippers. I just hope they make them in colors other than red, cause that will stand out in any model vehicle. 3. Ball caster. Part#: 6023956 What it is: a steel ball that fits in the female torque tube joint. Potential use: Thrust bearings, ball casters, maybe roller bearings. This piece is a bit larger than a zamor sphere, and apparently fits fairly tightly in it's housing. The intended, and obvious use, is as a caster support for robots. However, I have thought up a different use, as a turntable support bearing for a large mobile crane. a set of maybe 8 of these units would be placed around the turntable in a rough circle, and take some of the load off of the turntable. This is a smaller, and cheaper solution over using Hailfire droid wheels and soccer balls. Hope you like.
