Hello again! Last sunday we celebrated Easter in Russia and I`ve built small MOC on the theme of the Old Testament. Exodus: First Plague of Egypt by balthazar_, on Flickr The Plagues of Egypt, also called the ten plagues, were ten calamities that, according to the biblical Book of Exodus, Israel's God inflicted upon Egypt to persuade the Pharaoh to release the ill-treated Israelites from slavery. Pharaoh capitulated after the tenth plague, triggering the Exodus of the Hebrew people. The plagues were designed to contrast the power of Yahweh with the impotence of Egypt's various gods. The First Plague was turning the waters of Nile into blood: 'This is what the Lord says: By this you will know that I am the Lord: With the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will be changed into blood.
