  1. Well this is my third MOC. It's approximately a 1977 HZ Sandman panel van. It was the 70's in Australia, so lairy graphics and goodies style fonts were standard. Two kinds of people bought sandman's. Tradie's and surfers. Surfers loved them because you could fit surfboards in the back, without needing roofracks. The other think you could fit easily in the back was a mattress. More than a few Australian children of the 70's and 80's were conceived in the back of a sandman. The real ones look like this: My lego one has the following features: Opening doors, bonnet, tailgate and rear window. Live axle rear suspension Front independent suspension Steering wheel and TOG (tailpipe of god) steering 4 + R gearbox V8 engine (thanks jorgeopesi) Lairy graphics Removable body So the lego one looks like this: 2015-08-23 12.14.28 by Russell Murphy, on Flickr 2015-08-23 12.16.36 by Russell Murphy, on Flickr 2015-08-23 12.17.05 by Russell Murphy, on Flickr 2015-08-23 12.18.32 by Russell Murphy, on Flickr 2015-08-23 12.15.58 by Russell Murphy, on Flickr And you can see more on my Flickr: Keen to see what everyone thinks.
  2. Hey everyone, Here it is, after about half a year of on and off work, my new MOC, a working model of a MAN TGS Dakar Truck. A video showing all the functions: The chassis is entirely LEGO, and has: -Servo steering -4x4 transmission -2x buggy motor drive -live axles on front and back -opening doors -working lights It also has custom stickers, as well as a box for the rear, made of styrofoam board, acrylic stickers, glue, plastic sheets, and regular stickers, which took a while to perfect, but turned out pretty well in the end. Hope you guys like it!
  3. Hello, you. I got this Star Wars guy in a big lot of LEGO a while ago. Recently I realized that he was not what he seemed. He is supposed to be in the Bright Red color, but he's darker than that. He is not Dark Red, however. He is lighter than that. He is Weird Red. Here's a picture of him next to Red Red and Dark Red, his buddies. Weird Red by Actor Builder, on Flickr He's closer to Red Red than Dark Red, but in real life it's clear that they're not the same. Does anybody else have a "Weird Red" in their collection? I'm rather fond of mine. I don't know how common he is, and would like to hear if anybody else has a "Weird Red". I'm specifically wondering about this print, I don't really want to start another "Look at my misprinted/miscolored LEGO" thread, we have enough of those. I just want to learn more about my Weird Red. Was this a common thing for these figures? I have another one who's Red Red. And he's fine. Weird Red is fine too, just "special". Also, the picture doesn't show it, but Weird Red is missing the Mark of The Black Neck that most figures have, but he is assuredly LEGO. I think.

  5. I really like many of P-Lego's MOCs. I wanted to build two of my favorites, the Lancia Stratos and one of the rally cars. Alas, I'm short on PF, so I thought I'd mix it up with alternate designs using fake engines and HOG steering. I present the Lancia Stratos alternate and the Rally Car alternate: The Lancia was an interesting challenge mimicking the original body while fitting a full-sized fake transverse V6, rear differential, and full suspension. I eventually gave up having a suspension on the rear and just went with the front (too little space). It came together in three separate pieces: front, middle, and rear. The suspension in the front has a lot of travel and a tight turning radius. Some of the proportions are different, especially the fenders in the front and the height of the rear trunk (had to make things fit). There is actually room in the front for a spare tire (in place of what would have been the battery box), but I didn't have one when I made the model. For the rally car, I wanted a full suspension with a fake engine and rear differential as compact as possible. It has a mini fake V6 in the front. This was built in two parts, the chassis with all the moving parts, and the body with the HOG wheel. The body attaches to the chassis with 6 easily accessible pins. When connected together, its a pretty sturdy connection. In theory, the chassis could fit to many alternate bodies. More images for the Rally car, Stratros, and both. Currently working on some instructions (LDD is quite a time sink). I'll post when I get around to it. Thanks for looking, and thanks P-Lego for the cool MOCs.
  6. Searing red As always, no real back story to this guy, I just wanted to build something dynamic with loads of red. The Carapace opens up in the back to reveal a jet thruster as you can see on the pictures. The finished product kind of reminded me of something you'd get as an enemy in some Japanese shmup or something so I looked up a cool sounding phrase and the name stuck. I really like the contrast of the tiny skinny frame and limbs against the big hollow shell. So yeah, your comments and criticism is welcome, as always.
  7. Lo, and behold. (I've also added the LDD-files, in case someone wanted it.) GS red 001.lxf

  9. Hello again! I made a small moc some time ago, but I didn't had time to publish it (due the buzy weeks at school). It's al little pneumatic creation (my first fully pneumatic), with 4 functions: A 3-section boom and a little backfill blade. Naturally it works with 4 valves. For the air pressure, I used 1 external big, manual pneumatic pump, because I didn't want that the model included batteries or other electric parts. Off course you can make an external electric pump. It was a challenge to hide all the tubes in a small space. And to end, a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSIAocu7w2g Please tell me what you think and how I can improve it! If there should be enough interest in instructions, I can make them. Greets, Fresko
  10. Hi to everyone!! I'm new on this forum, and honestly I'm new in a forum, so, please forgive me if I do some mistake or brake some rules. Anyway this is my Lego Technic Tractor Truck. 11. Captain America vs Red Skull The Star-Spangled Superhero takes down the Red-Headed Menace of Deutschland! Featuring a Custom printed Red Skull head by Christo; given to me in a trade with RaincloudDustbin. Thanks man! Enjoy! ~Nemo
  12. Colonel Brickington wasn't able to go to the final battle of the Tournament thus, he stayed at home and did one of his favorite things: Eating some Bluecoat Chicken legs and meat. His fellow Redcoats had sent him the Blue meat from the battlefield. And boy was it tasty! I was noticing the end of the Toruney coming, so I built this for the Reds. Hope you like it!
  13. Hello again peoples Here's one of my latest MOC's, an island for the Pirates. Please excuse the poor quality lighting in the photos :c I built this inspired by the hideout of the Pirates in the Golden Medallion Comic, but i'm not sure if it has much resemblance to it, cos I wasn't looking at it at the time of creation :P Overall shot with the BSB: Without: It may not be as impressive as the other pirates islands on here, but for me, it does the trick of having a home for them. Here's a closer shot of the main area: It's kinda pointless, but I used the shield with the stud on it from the CMF and stuck it to the bottom of a barrel so that pirate could hold it upright. Just experimenting. Don't ask about the carrot Here's a view of the rooftop, armed: Shazzam! Bad image editing ahoy! If I had two more spare cannons, the roof would be completely armed in each "port". Once the lone Ranger sets come out, i'll buy the Army Builder set and build more cannons up from that, yay. The ever so un-occupied inside of the main building, I like to think that this was once a RedCoat Outpost that the pirates took over. Very lacking... Anyhoo, here's a scene outside the pub, in the Hula Dancer's hand is a gem, which was stolen off of the knight who's falling through the docks. Further along at the end of the docks are temporary stand-ins for Flashfork and his first mate. I've yet to properly make Flashfork Inside that building (in the attic) is the Cargo hold, full of the stolen treasures from around the world! (The adventurers stuff mainly) Kinda unfinished. But speaking of unfinished, take a look at the building on the other end of the docks. Blown up by a cannon! Or was it my cat? I'm not sure who did it, but that building is history now. At least the youngsters can do whatever it is young people in love do here in front of the ruins. There's a great view! But underneath the docks are abandoned RedCoat belongings, a cannon and a rowing boat. But further along you'll find more big ugly rock pieces! And a disgruntled native, the original inhabitant. Plotting revenge, and not catching a tan. Yikes! And to finish up, my favourite picture of the lot, Captain Redbeard, Will and Rummy boarding the Black Seas Barracuda, on a course for adventure! Hooray. Thanks for looking! Please let me know what you think of this humble home for not so humble people! In the summer, it'll be for brickfilms Ta-ta! Axle
