This was my first attempt to make an LDD Ship and the first of my own creations for a large ship. Normally, I just modify the sets. I opted to attempt a 74-Gun for some historical accuracy though there is obviously a bunch lacking in order to sail out into history. 74-3 by Micah Van Gorp, on Flickr Fully Rigged, Three Masts 12A 74-5 by Micah Van Gorp, on Flickr 74-16 by Micah Van Gorp, on Flickr 74-10 by Micah Van Gorp, on Flickr 74-15 by Micah Van Gorp, on Flickr 74-6 by Micah Van Gorp, on Flickr There are more pictures on the Flicker Page.

This is a small MOC from a while ago. As you can see it doesn't have any sails because I couldn't find any good parts for that. It has 3 Redcoats and 1 pirate! It has different weapons to example swords etc. This is also my first pirate MOC (I'm 13) but I will do more in the future. Any suggestions? Just tell me in the comments. Have a nice day you bloody pirates, Aye

This is my shiptember that will become a shiptober, because i didn´t have time to finish it. it´s composed by a minifig scaled living space and a cargo area with a 6x6 exploration buggy. Each compartment have a detachable roof. A aplied a retractible landing gear that can support the ship weight. The cargo area have a ramp door to unload the buggy. The living space is not completed, i will had a lab, beds, infirmary and a wc. I´m also thinking about creating some kind of wings with reactors at the rear of the ship and improve the front, mayby add a cockpit with a windscreen. Hope you like it so far.

A good morning/afternoon/evening to you all. I've been hanging around here for a while now, and I've decided it's high time I came up with something of my own to contribute. I drew inspiration from Dread Pirate Wesley's HMS Pickle, mostly for doing the hull and the spars. So, without further ado, I present my first MOC: a 12-gun, 2-masted, fore-and-aft rigged schooner. Port Side. Schooner 4B Starboard Side. The head-on view. And a view of the stern. Comments and criticism are welcome. If you would like additional shots of different angles, just ask and I will be happy to oblige.

These ruthless pirates thought that walking the plank was too easy of a punishment. They got together and decided to give the captured soldier no chance at survival by tying him to a chair and dropping him off in a remote part of the ocean. A view of the lower half of the ship, with an unwanted visitor... A birds eye view of the deck... This is my entry to the PTV 2015 contest (Small category). Thank you :) Pat

At the end of last year i was very honest that the best and biggest shipyard in the world Royal Feadship ask me to build a big model and a set of one of their new build yacht; My Kiss. I had only 2,5 month for both project's. One week before the deadline the two project's where ready and deliverd at the yard in Aalsmeer and the projectmanager was very pleased. This project was very difficault because i haved to buildt it only from drawings and renders, also the building style where complete new for me . End of this month this model will stand in the great new book from Dennis Glaasker and Dennis Bosman. The real Kiss is now sailing to Monaco and is nominated for best ship in there class at the Monaco Yacht show 2015(23 to26 september) and mine model is standing with proud on the real one . In this topic i will give you a glimp how i build this model . This is the real Kiss at their launching party on 14 februari 2015 at the yard Royal The Vries and mine family and JunkstyleGio where there as quest. Soooooo enough information and here is the start of the model . First start was the bow and the most difficult one. After building the bow the idea's came quickly and the progress grow's every day. This enough for today and hope you like it . Greetings Edwin and stay tuned for the rest of it .

One of the smallest ships I have ever designed. The dimensions actually come close to the hull bricks made for the classic pirate ships. Visiting London I saw the replica and oh she is so tiny. I chose this colorscheme as it was more challenging than the black painted version. Especially the triangles on the side was a real mindbender. I've had this up on flickr for a while, but haven't posted it to EB. This is inspired by the old wooden ferry boats that used to ply Sydney's inner harbour when I was a kid. My father was a harbour ferry master for a while, so I practically had the run of the whole ferry from the wheelhouse to the mess (not the engine room unescorted) from about age 7 to 10. My favourites were the few old small wooden ferries like the Caribee and the Karingal that were still operational in the early 80s.

When life give you lemons, cut them with your Kawashita sword. The K-BOX-42 is Col. Brik's last ditch last day effort to have a proper ship ready for the alien invasion that may occur. Using the broken parts of a ship almost finished Col. Brik threw his redshirt brigade to work in a binge build to still be ready in time. This was actually built all today, I had a issue with my previous ship, this is what I found late last night. It "feel down" according to my boys. I wasn't mad, it wasn't really working out for me. http://i.imgur.com/IuGqV5yl.jpg this is what it looked like a week or so ago. http://i.imgur.com/DSn2BUZl.jpg

The Imperial courier on Naboo was in a particularly dangerous situation. He must have picked up a few stowaways on the forest moon of Endor, because upon arriving on Naboo, countless furry space bears came pouring out of the cargo hold and into the eastern swamps. Once they took to the trees, the stormtroopers couldn't keep track of them and the best shots of their ranks couldn't find their targets. Normally, the Empire can overlook an illegal introduction of non-indigenous species, especially when they are at fault, but these creatures came from a planet the Empire wanted kept secret. The nosey bureaucrats of Naboo would certainly ask too many questions if this incursion was discovered. Ewoks on Naboo by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Despite their distrust and hatred of the Clawdite race, the Empire does recognize the exceptional marksmanship prevalent in their culture, and the ISB keeps a few contacts for situations like this. The bounty hunter marches the seven remaining creatures out of the swamps and into an awaiting cage. His payment will be in the form of slug-beetle larva, a "currency" the Empire can payout under the table because of their control over vast "preservation easements" throughout Naboo, and the bounty hunter can readily exchange these with the elite Gungans coopted by the Empire to keep the bottom dwellers in line. But there was something about the merchant crew that delivered the larva. The captain... the bounty hunter knew this face, but the local Imperial contingent obviously did not, or else there'd be only one man leaving this clearing alive...

HMS Sovereign did not have the illustrious war record of HMS Sparta, nor is she a match in terms of size, but is nonetheless a survivor of the 49 year war, with a respectable record of participation. Like many other surviving vessels, Sovereign was converted into a supply ship in times of peace. Now she sails with the Royal Navy Transport Fleet, assigned to the New World colony trade routes.

Without further ado, I may present you Captain Morgan's new flagship, the infamous and fearsome Queen Annetta's Revenge! The name is a subtly reminiscence to the time when Captain Morgan served in the Royal Navy of her majesty, Annetta Queen of Corrington. It is a class 5LA galleon and so far my largest ship. Pics are linked to larger resolutions. The Figurehead is a crowned harpy with an accidental resemblance to a young female sovereign of Halos. As mentioned, accidental. Thanks for visiting my ship!

According the King'sport advertiser the Raenette II participated in a big action against the Mardieran privateer L'Olius and succeeded in the capture of the Spotted Sparrow, a war brigantine. Here is what happened (according Felipe de la Manzana) : Captain's log entry, 29th of April 616 : "We started our route with a good escort lead by our friends of Corrington. The Company is in good term with Corries and we managed to open a MAESTRO branch in the Red country, so the escort is more than welcome, even if my new Ténotclaxcan crew member doesn't seem enchanted to encounter Corleanders." The situation became a bit strange when the escort had been separated from the merchants. Captain's log entry, 30th of April 616 : "I lost see on the escort, and we are some trading ships lost at the mercy of the simplest pirate ship that could attack us. I didn't understand what happened to the escort..." "Ah! I said we were lost, and it will probably... A Mardier fleet is in sight... They showed their colours ! it's a black and red flag ! Privateers ! A full fleet of Mardieran privateers... Probably L'Olius, the dreadful privateer that already attacked Eslandola ! Now I can guess what happened to our escort..." And the battle began. With an excellent anticipation, Felipe used the speed of the fast Raenette to pass behind the Spotted Sparrow, a full armed Brigantine, while the boardside fired but the Privateer vessel missed Felipe's. Then, using the Ténotclaxcans method of boarding, Felipe's crew engaged the Mardierans directly at the navigation deck and tryed to kill the captain and the navigator to stop the ship. And Felipe's crewmen finally killed the privateer captain and begin to become masters of the War Brigantine. The rest of the Mardieran crew surrendered or flew at sea. This is how Felipe de la Manzana won a War vessel. This ship, as a revenge on L'Olius Mardier Privateer fleet, had been re-named the Pinapple Revenge by Felipe and is joining MAESTRO's fleet as a class 3A war brigantine. More pictures with the new flags on her (Please Maxim, use this picture for the ship index) : Thank you for reading. The ship is totally built on a custom hull based on CMF's baseplates I placed to give the curve aspect of the hull. I took some time to have a better rigging than my last ships and even made some ratlines ! The sails are just paper sails as I will not be able to have better sails before the end of the month, but one should know I have a project to create quality custom cloth sails. So I will probably post some new pictures when I'll have them. As always, C&Cs are welcome !

May 616 Free Build #1 The stuff of wooden warship nightmares. Fire ships were used with great success in naval warfare throughout the centuries. One tactic is to send them into a fleet anchored in a bay. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the havoc that ensues. Fire Ship by dr_spock_888, on Flickr

Yargh! Err... I mean hi all! In this topic I will show and tell about my new ship model, a 1:45 scale model of the VOC ship ''Halve Maen'' which was build in 1606 (approximately, nobody knows exact). The ship is only 25,7 meters long and 5,3 meters wide. I choose this ship since it is quite doable in minifig scale. The model is based on the replica ship that docks in Hoorn, Holland. She can be visited, here is the website. History Originally she was launched as a yacht, but in 1609 she was commissioned by the VOC for a new endeavour. The VOC asked English explorer Henry Hudson to find a new shipping route to the east Indies. This was quite a daring voyage with such a smal ship and a crew of just 16 men. Well instead of finding the Indies, he actually found New York and the rest is history. After this famous voyage she was put into battle in the Indies, she actually fought several battles. and was eventually shot on fire and sunk in 1618 on the coast of Jakarta Indonesia. If you'd like to read more about the history you can do so here and here. The replica today The existing replica was build in 1988, after the first replica burned down in 1934. She was build in Albany, New York. Research was far better for this second replica and she shows great difference from the first replica. I believe the second replica to be more accurate, so I took her as example. However not much is known about the 1606 original, there are no plans, except for some old drawings. I took the colour scheme they first used, she is different today. I did not make the red/white stripes, they don't seem very realistic to me. And a cut through whis gives a good view of how small this ship actually was: Well without further ado, I give you my model: And at a slightly different angle: A bit closer with the gunports closed: A detail shot of the hull construction: I took the lion design of my Prins Willim, just had to downsize it a bit. I also really like the construction of the galleon, the understructure and railings are exactly how they should be, with an open frame underneath: Another detail of the galleon, also showing the 2 access doors: Next is the stern, showing the weapon of Amsterdam, a moon and stars and a cabin window: A straight shot on the stern, showing the crazy curvature and the lanter which (I think) is Captain Braunsfeld's design: Next up a birds eye showing the detail of the masts, rigging and sails. Some of you have seen this model at the Eurobricks event, when she was about 95% complete. I told you I wanted to make printed flags, but a most of you liked the wavy flagpieces I had quickly put on better. This made me decide to make brick build flags. From bow to stern they are: Dutch flag, Flag of countship Holland, Flag of the Dutch republic, Flag of Amsterdam, Flag of the VOC. The Flag of the countship of Holland was the most difficult, it is a yellow flag with a red lion. If anybody can come up with a nicer design please tell me. A detail of the crow's nest: And a bit closer showing all the activity on deck: A view on the back of the ship. You can see the capstan and ship's bell. Underneath the bell was the ''steering cabin'' and you can se the first mate looking out over the ship: And here you can see the first mate in the cabin with the whipstick: Since everything is so small, I also had to design a very small dinghy: And small cannons: The hatches and part of the deck can be removed to show what is going on below deck, note the cannon ''tools'' on the wall: The anchors can actually be dropped, this is a new anchor design which is quite sturdy: In the first pictures you see the sails as they would be hoisted quickly, not in a neat manner. This makes the model look lively without distracting too much from the details. However, what is a ship without functional sails: And finally a shot which ook me way too much time to make, but I couldn't help myself but putting her in the water: That concludes it. I hope you like the model and my presentation. Thank you for reading, I look forward to your C&C!

El Toro Bravo : A class 2A Topsail cutter After being repaired the former Oleon ship known as "La Vaillante" became "El Toro Bravo" and was given to the Eslandian Colonel Ignacio Severus to command. And she began her duty by being sent along the shores of Berelli in order to track down the pirates. I bettered the "Vaillante" I made for Challenge II and I will license her as a Class 2A vessel. I changed the colours, I change the Masts and put more in the middle the main mast. I made the rigging in order to be able to lower the sails. I think my story is well explaining how and why she became an eslandian warship... So I can license her, I never licensed her when she was Oleander. I think I can do that. If not, don't hesitate to tell me. Thank you and enjoy !

Ahoy mateys, I present you the new brig el Matador for Eslandola. She has 14 guns and is under the command of captain Pedro Cabral. The ship is build to escort the trade routes and I will license it as a class 4A as soon as I get enough money. First up a shot of the entire ship, I think the lines are quite nice and I really like the medium dark flesh colour! A bit closer The stern Detail on the bow A birds eye Detail of the masts and rigging Captain Cabral and some of Eslandola's finest The gun crews below deck work hard To deliver a full broadside I hope you like it, may she have good fortune in battle!

So I don't know what buttons I pressed but I can't get a good set of pictures of this using BlueRender, so he's the one good render. and some screenshots from the LDD that for some reason have no background. That was a surprise when I went to resize the image. The Night's Gold's sinister colours are a frequent site around Bastion and Haven. No one is quite sure how her Captain, Montgomery DuLac, manages to earn enough money to keep her afloat. It may relate to his good humour, easy going nature, ability to work with anyone and willingness to take any paying job. He even, occasionally, resorts to piracy - though he tends away from violence towards the prey's crew. After all, no point in needlessly raising a bounty on his head. Captain DuLac himself, making sure his ship is in good shape. He is not above hiring a few "less civilised sorts" as marines. Though some of them do not do much the rest of the time. I'm using my free license for the Night's Gold, classing her as a Class 2 Well Rounded.
