Location: C06 Hyreal Tags: Spying, Building Civil, Land vehicle (hardsuit), Science Things have been quiet since the MANTIS and Kawashita fleets have agreed to move away peacefully. Things have been too quiet. Many of Kawashita’s operatives that have been tracked by MANTIS have seemingly disappeared. Maximus Cor has sent CEO Spacer Steve on a top secret spy mission posing as second branch manager Commander Turtle. The objective is to infiltrate the Kawashita lab and hopefully find answers on the missing operatives. - Driver please identify yourself! - Weapon systems locked on - It is I, Commander Turtle - Oh! Commander! Stand down guards! Please proceed commander. SpacerSteve makes his way up the stairs - Maximus didn’t mention that this world had a peace brigade stationed here. I had better be careful. - How may I help you? - I am Commander Turtle here to perform a surprise inspection. - Right away I will call Anothony Starku-Sama at once - Welcome Commander Turtle. Location: E11 - Fascini Cluster Tags: Spying Log #005 - 30 Novembrinali 3815 After attending our new CEO's board meeting, I went to communications on asteroid PK534 to gather new information that might help me out planning my next planet to target. Down in the server chamber of communications, I asked around about the utmost interesting and strange messages that have been intercepted for the past three months. What I got was a very precarious message that came from F08 Raduon. One of our communication beacons have been hijacked by a transceiver sponsored by Octan Corp. But wait a minute. Since when do we have access to F08? This is very unusual to my understanding and could be a propaganda like diversion, which I will report. Looking for other subjects then Octan Corp. eavesdropping on us, I gathered some intelligence from a planet I will certainly have interest in… Complete view:

Undisclosed Location Guinevere - 3185 Tags: Spying, Special Operations Koro was glad to get away from higher society for a while. Back out in the field with a hot ride and a new planet to sneak all over. And would you look at that, he planted his listening post just in time to sit back on his bike and watch the Tsurugi-Gs do a fly by in low atmo. Beautiful sight. Good to be back out there.

Location: B05 Marphacia Tags: Land Vehicle, Spying Hawk was given a pretty simple weekly mission. He was sent to investigate a Kawashita communications relay deep in the swamps of Marphacia. The base itself seemed overgrown and poorly maintained but it still appeared operational. - - Hawk sent out his beetle scout droid. Once it was in place on the satellite dish, it would send MANTIS intelligence communications coming though the relay. - More pictures under the spoiler tag. Thanks for looking. It doesn't really continue my story I have been working on. I had something more elaborate in mind but I was running short on time this weekend. As usual, C&C welcomed.

Location: B05 Marphacia Tags: Land Vehicle, Spying So what information are we trying to get out of them sir? We need to know if they detected the massive explosion we caused the other day. If the Kawashita seismology lab didn’t detect the explosion, we’ll know the GATE field expanded ahead of the explosion and stopped the information leaking out. If so, we have a functioning cloaking device, we'll just have to fine tune the stabilisers. Couldn’t we just ask them if they detected it? No! If we just ask them if they’ve detected any explosions recently, they’ll know we’re up to something. We have to persuade them to tell us, preferably without even realising we’re from M.A.N.T.I.S. That’s why we’re in this Kawashita boat! Exactly. And it has to be a row boat so it doesn’t upset their seismology instruments. No point annoying them before we even get there. And you have to be here to do the rowing… I see the lab sir! Good work Stevens, bring us in. Now, this is probably going to take a lot of natural charm and quick wits, and you don’t have a persuadomatic spy suit, so let me do all the talking. It could be very difficult to get the information out of them, so prepare to witness some incredible spying. Yes sir! Ok, here goes. I guess I’ll knock on the door. Location: H03 Kaalin Tags: Spying, Land vehicle Hawk had been reassigned by M.A.N.T.I.S to Kaalin to spy on and sabotage Octan awesomnium mining operations on the planet. Octan made sneaking into the mine easy. It seemed like most of their employees went to Donwarr and left the automated systems do all the work. - - - Hawk: With a well placed charge, this mining drill will fly. - pop!!! Location: B06 Sorn Tags: Spying, Military Building, Land vehicle Hawk had been sent to Sorn, away from the main MANTIS conflict with Octan, to evaluate Kawashita's presence there and to gather as much information on their activities in the area. He was sent to an unremarkable rocky island. - - The Island was designated outpost 135B06 and was left over from much earlier conflicts between the MANTIS and Kawashita corporations on Sorn. MANTIS had built many hidden bunkers around the surface of Sorn, and 135B06 would serve as a base of operations for Hawk in his missions to come. - Base AI: Welcome Agent Hawk. Hawk: Just call me Hawk computer. What is the status of this installation? Base AI: All systems operational. - Hawk: Good. Computer, arm the defensive weapons. I don't think we will come under attack from anyone from Kawashita, but it sure wouldn't be good if one of those Sharktipus's tried to find its way in. Base AI: Order received. Weapons are now online. - - Hawk: Computer, monitor any unencrypted messages on all Kawashita channels. Lets find something worth looking into. Base AI: Yes sir. This is a message I recorded earlier. I hope you find it useful. start transmission...... - They keep sending us ships to repair what is going on out there? Is MANTIS attacking our fleet? - No its something else, an unknown fleet at Crentium. They are giving our fleet a tough time. Location- F03 Forring Tags- Airplane, Land Vehicle, Military Building, Spying With Hawks recent promotion to third branch executive, he was given the assignment by CEO SpacerSteve to inspect the military testing site code named Dragon Base. - MANTIS Guard: Welome to Dragon Base. We have been expecting you. I have already notified the commander that you have arrived. He will be with you shortly. Hawk: Thank you. - Commander: Welcome third branch executive Hawk. Hawk: You must be Tim. SpacerSteve told me a little about your work. I'm eager to see more. Tim: If you want to follow me, I can give you a tour of the base and show you the advancements we have made. I'm sure the CEO will be pleased to hear about the progress we have made. - short time later..... Tim: With reverse engineering Kawashita war drones, our drone technology has advanced by leaps and bounds. And our tour will conclude with the best part. Would you like to take our most advanced weapon for a test flight? Hawk: I don't see anything here. Is the ship cloaked? Tim: It's a drone, not a ship. To fly it you will need these three items, the Wand of Controlling, the Tablet of Commands, and the Helmet of Destiny. Hawk: These all look extremely dorky. - Tim: Now you need to sit over there in the controllers chair. I will open the blast doors and monitor your vital signs to make sure the drones AI doesn't take over your mind. Are you ready. Hawk: Sure. Wait, what! Tim: Oh, well remember when I was telling you about Kawashita war drones? Well MANTIS AI technology isn't as advanced as Kawashita's so we had to use a captured drone's AI core. That's why we need a human mind to control it. There is a slight chance the AI could fight back but as long as you have the Helmet of Destiny on you should be fine. It's perfectly safe. Hawk: Lets get this over with then. Tim: Thats the spirit. I will open the blast doors. - Hawk: Whoa this is cool! Tim: See I told you the risk would be worth it. - Hawk: It's so fast! I can see everything it can see! I feel like I am flying! Tim: If you would like, There are a few nearby Octan communication arrays that we have been meaning to destroy. You can test out the weapons on one of them. - Hawk: Buuuurrnn!!!!!! Tim: Alrighty then, It looks like the AI might be starting to take over a little bit. It was my favorite castle set when I was young even though it was almost entirely made out of BURP's. Comments and criticisms are always welcomed.

Location: F03 Tags: Land Vehicle, Spying Ok, but... just explain it to me one more time... Unbelievable! This plan is like spying 101, I don't understand how you're not getting it. I've hacked Octan's computers to trick them into thinking they’ve detected a prisoner transport. They’re going to come after you thinking they’re rescuing one of their guys. Right… Redsyn here is one of our best drivers – he’ll lead them on a merry chase but will eventually let you be ‘rescued’. By using the tracking device we implanted in you we’ll find out where their base is when they take you back there. Simple! Uh… ok, I think I understand now. But why not use an actual Octan prisoner? I have… other uses… for the real prisoners. Unless you’d like to trade places with them? No sir! I thought not… But won’t they realise I’m not actually from Octan? No, they’ll never suspect it. I thought you said this was obvious, like spying 101… Don’t worry, our forces will show up well before Octan has time to find you out. This plan is foolproof! Wait… To be continued! Location: F02 Lesser Drigo Tags: Spying, Spaceship With the MANTIS and Octan fleets both in orbit around Lesser Drigo, it was only a matter of time before MANTIS would capture an Octan vessel. The MCS Trade Winds, a Merchant Confederacy ship, was on a supply run to the surface when it was intercepted by MANTIS. The crew was kept for questioning and MANTIS command saw an opportunity to use the vessel to infiltrate the Octan spaceport. They put together a group to pose as the Merchant Confederacy crew in hopes to gain information on Octan's fleet movements. Note to judges. The Octan truck is reused and should not be judged. Hawk: You three stay here. I will go and scout the area and see if I can get into the control tower while they unload the ship. You guy wait for my signal. - Spec Ops1- Hold it there pilot. The base is on lock down. There are MANTIS spys everywhere and you need special clearance to get past this point. Hawk: Sorry sir. I hear those MANTIS guys are vicious thugs. Keep up the goo…. Spec Ops1- That's enough small talk. Please return to your ship. We will be performing inspections soon. Hawk: Yes sir. - Hawk: This is bad. They will be around soon to inspect the ship. They will find out that we are MANTIS for sure. Snake: I say we go in and blast them with our death ray blasters! Sue: Yeah! Hawk: Are you two crazy? Do you know how many of them there are out there? Tags: Spying Location: E03 - Ertauq This is Sergeant C.R.A.P. I've been decrypting Octan data for 5 rotations straight. My eyelids sqeak everytime I make a programmed blink. The encryption is difficult, but the captain has been a prisoner of Octan for a month now. This might be the first breakthrough we've made since that fateful mission. I am very close to cracking the codes for security cameras at a classified octan location. I don't jnow which planet this facioity is on, but that will come soon enough. Here comes the video. They've even taken the captain's glasses. And here comes the audio. "Mr. Pangolinus. You are going to reveal the coordinates we're after. There is no escape from here." Location: F02 Lesser Drigo Tags: Spying, Spaceship, Land Vehicle For being a desert planet covered in lava flows, it was amazing to Hawk that water was the number one resource on the planet. Mantis Command wanted info on how Octan gathered water on the planet and where it was located. A number of Octan moisture evaporators had been found with the information gained from the mining satellite on F03. Hawk was given a semi-autonomous Hazardous Environment Mining Drone from MANTIS command to help him hack into the Moisture evaporator. The drone had been developed for operations on the surface of Torresta, so not even a lava flow would slow it down. - Hawk in his Hornet Gunship lower the Hazardous Enviroment Mining Drone, or H.E.M.D for short into position. - H.E.M.D: Unit is ready to serve. Input Command. Hawk: Alright, cross the lava flow to the evaporator, and hack the controls. You also need to extract a data chip for HQ. - H.E.M.D.: Unit has received commands. Begin Execution? Hawk: Yes, begin - H.E.M.D.: Objective reached. Hawk: Good jod H.E.M.D. H.E.M.D.: Commencing Hacking. Activating laser saw. Hawk: Wait what? H.E.M.D.: Retrieving Data chip. - Hawk: Stupid drone. H.E.M.D.: This unit performed all of it's tasks given. Any error is in the controlling unit. Hawk: I suppose you did do everything I asked of you. H.E.M.D.: I detect two lifeforms approaching. Activating laser saw. Hawk: No wait. - Myserious Native1: Greeting MANTIS warrior. We represent the Flamosian Resistance. Ever since the ones you call Oktann arrived on this planet, they have been setting up their poison machines and driving us from the surface of the planet. Hawk: You mean the moisture extractors? Mysterious Native2: Yes. What you call water is a deadly poison to our kind. Thousands of our kind have perished. Ever since MANTIS has arrived, we have observed that your kind is dedicated to the destruction of the Oktann. We would like to aid your warriors in this effort. Hawk: I wouldn't say dedicated. "The Flying MANTIS has sighted it's target and approaches sleek and fast, lining up for the attack" Engineers Log: We have arrived...... "Picking up speed, almost there" ORB, what are you doing? Well, the Flying MANTIS was just getting ready to attack this alien city... That is very funny ORB, but we need to place these signal transmitter units in there so we can just sit back and listen to whoever has been broadcasting from this location. Strange, there are no readings from this....city looking structure. I don't see that it really does anything at all, except just look like an alien city. My Lady, there have been no signs of life here since you came here and rescued me from the Octan W.E.R. Lab and then it was shut down and dismantled. I have no idea who could have set the signals we intercepted. Hmm, well it is strange, come on we can have some fun driving back to the landing site in the new M.A.N.T.I.S Sand Skimmer. You can fly your ship from there....as long as you man the rudder so we stay on course. Yipee...... Meanwhile, just a short distance away........ Hey, George.....any luck getting that signal out? Robert ,make some new coffee will ya? No....the signal still isn't working, Frank. It was working just a little while ago...really it was. Frank, we are almost out of coffee! What are we going to do? We aren't scheduled for supplies for another six months! Robert, you just need to cut back your portion....or figure out how to grow more. At least we still have our coffee maker,...and the couch out of the office cubicle and the radio equipment and one chair.... Good job being positive, George, and we have a well for fresh water and we can grow some of our food and we have this really cool old weapon from Earth. And I can be look out for that M.A.N.T.I.S woman and make sure nothing else disappears from under our watch. That Obsolete Rusting Bot was never a good worker for us.....wish we didn't get blamed for him leaving like that....still we did really see that woman in this desert. Er… So I’d discovered that the Octan diet biomass was chiral and that we could revert it back to sugary, fattening fruit using a mithril solution. My mission was to infiltrate a plant where the fruit was washed and introduce the mithril solution to the water supply. I managed to hitch a lift into the plant with two agents hidden in barrels… --- Well, I guess now I know who M.A.N.T.I.S. buys its doors and air con units from… Now remember: when I say ‘Octan’ you’re to pass the mithril solution out to me. And if I say ‘Kawashita’ it means I’m in trouble and you’re to come out and rescue me. Got it? Yes sir! Good, then let’s do this. Hello there fellow employees! I’ve brought some more barrels of water for you. Yeah, thanks pal, just leave them there, we’re kind of in the middle of something here. Planet: Donwarr (E01) Date: 31 Janurali 3816 Mission: To Analyze Design Of / Destroy Octan HydroComm Unit Team: Lady Kianna / ORB (in combat mode) Tags: Engineer, Land Vehicle, Spying (Sabotage), Piracy Engineer's Log: Remote location on Donwarr, Octan HydroComm Unit ORB and I have arrived at the remote location of Octan's Flagship HydroCommunictions Unit. The design is very simple yet very effective. A central communications tower is powered by the four power units at each corner. These four units convert enery from the vast water source directly below the structure. This gives the entire unit zero emissions which in turn hide it from all sensors.......until today, that is. OK ORB this is it. Strange no one is here.....the communications we intercepted indicated a repair worker would be here. Well, um....yes it is strange...... These outer poles are the ones the message indicated were weak and needed repair....grab that one over there ORB and I'll grab this one. On the count of three we pull hard and run once they start to fall. If they fall on us we could be killed from the power surge..... Good job....wait....what is that..!!?
