  1. Hey guys finished another Buildable figure and did a speed build on it! Check it out :) https://youtu.be/KesE2wp67e0
  2. Hello LEGO fans! I very like Star Wars Battlefront game and Sullust, that DICE presented to us. So I try to build the scene from the cover of Star Wars Battlefront in a small LEGO diorama. I hope you will enjoy my creation. Builded of different LEGO sets bricks, BRICKLINK hasn't used. More photos in video: https://youtu.be/rZwDWXVqn38
  3. Can you imagine how cluttered and confusing this forum would be if we had separate topics for every single "What are your favorite/least favorite/best/worst LEGO Star Wars set/minifig/product?" combination? We already have reviews of sets and a general "Favorite Set" topic, plus a comparison topic for pictures of side-by-side set and minifig comparisons. These posts will be merged with the Favorite Set topic. Original post:
  4. Hey peeps, today I decided to clean my Death Star a bit from all the dust and decided to change some of the scenes from the Death Star. Some I had fun with and some are more serious. Anyhow I just wanted to show you the pictures and let you decide what you think. 6. For the 11-th TechLUG Star Wars contest devoted to the LightSaber Duel, I have choosen the final fight between Obi-Wan and Darth Maul at the end of the Phantom Menace. This because I like particularly Darth Maul with his double lightsaber and his unusual and choregraphic way to fight The reference scene I have tried to represent is the one where the two characters are fighting to death in front of the huge and deep well. Moreover, into this scene, the two fighters hold their lightsaber using only one hand whereas most of the time they use both hands which is more difficult to do with minifigs. THE ROOM AND THE DEEP WELL I have spent some time to build this scene including the deep well, the floor and the backward wall in order to keep everything into 12 studs times 12 studs as required by the contest : the final version contains something like 800 parts. Rendering the deep well is not so easy because it is really deep and I did not want to do a one meter high tube or a waterpool like one. Talking about water pool, this picture of the making of is interesting because it shows a lots of details not easy to get into the video and because it shows that only the deep well is virtual. So, for the deep well, I decided to build a 8 studs high half-cylinder on top of a 3 studs high funnel in order to use a forced perspective effect. The wall of the cylindric well is made with black 1x2 tiles with grille fixed on dark gray bricks in order to have a striped texture. Note that the well is slightly tilted relative to the square base to align the white vertical band with the door of the room. The cylindric wall of the well : The bottom of thr well is made of 3x3 plates without corner stacked verticaly and forming a half-circle fixed by circular briks in front and back by an elastic; the diameter of the circle is obtained by intercaling a 1x3 plates between two 3x3 plates. The bottom of the well and the base : The well and the floor are included into a 12x12x12 studs3 cube onto a 12x12x2 studs3 decorated base. I have choosen to close the 3 other faces of the cube adding some functional elements like air or fluid tubes and some duct to render its bulk shape. Backward face and one of the lateral face of the cube : The floor is made of two decorated arches for the border of the well, of bricks and plates lying on top of the cube. Finally, the backward wall is made with 2 panels 13 studs high slightly sloped back making nearly 45 degrees from one to the next. The central panel is build by 2x4 dark grey tiles shifted in order to render the white bach lightning. The left panel includes the source of the force field and a control panel fixed on a trapezoidal black plate. The right panel is made with 3 columns of tiles slightly shifted vertically to follow the floor profile. The 3 panels of the backward wall : For the back side of the wall, I have indroduced some decorative element in order to not just have a black back. The whole building splited and built, with an animated gif to turn around it. . Some pictures of the MOC in real bricks ; THE CHARACTERS When Obi-Wan enters the room to kill Darth Maul, his master Qui-Gon Jinn is dying on the floor and, because there was some room remaining, I decided to include him. For Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn, I have taken the minifigs of the Sith infiltrator set using old brown hair for the Jedi instead of the reddish one. For Obi-Wan, I used the minifig of the podracers set taking the hair of agent Charge corresponding more to the movie. . THE SCENE Some pictures speak finally better than a long speech : Close views of the duel Obi-Wan is raging against Darth Maul but takes care of the Dark Side Some other views : Larger images can be found into my Flickr album : https://www.flickr.c...57646030400841/ Animated gifs showing the building of the different elements can be found into this brickshelf folder : http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=546082 Thank you for having read (or not) this long presentation .
  7. A bit of a pop culture mashup to please the kids for Brickvention 2015. A Beggars Canyon race with some threading of the Stone Needle on Tatooine using SDCC speeder model derivatives. More pictures on flickr. https://www.flickr.com/photos/78271818@N00/16125684910/
  8. Just set up a listing on Ebay for a used lot of minifigures. The highlights include Commander Cody and the original Catwoman. US buyers only http://www.ebay.com/...84.m1558.l2649 Thanks for checking this out Rishab
  9. I have never shared my version of the MF here. It has been no MOCpages for a while. Thought I would quickly share. It has been quite a process, given that it was completely destroyed (because it fell) and then restored. I also built a wall mount which can be seen on my MOCpages. Picture of the poor thing after it fell So sad! I guess the fully automated landing gear (pneumatics) did not help. Unlike cats, MFs do not land on all fours But alas, the model has been rebuilt and hung with a mount made out of LEGO Technic. This time with wall anchors :)
  10. I'm an aerospace engineer living in the Seattle, USA area. I was a huge lego fan growing up but began a dark age after finishing school and beginning a career. I recently rediscovered my passion for legos and I've been buying mostly star wars and technic sets. The first time around, I had to build x-wings and starships with my imagination using random parts from space and castle sets.. It's an interesting change to see how things have changed since the 80s. Oh and I can't seem to figure out how to get any access or permissions to things like PMs. Is there something special I need to do?
  11. One of my favorite pastime activities is eye-ing LEGO sets for a long time, scrolling through the instructions online, and in my mind doing inventory, while thinking "Can I build this set with my current pile of old/loose bricks, without taking any sets apart". This (and my then 3 year old) is what pulled me out of my dark ages. I have previously done the Death Star, a Y-wing, an AT-ST, a themed Slave 1, Anakin's starfigher and the Malevolence. For a long time I have been wanting to buy/build the 75025 Corellian Jedi Defender-class Cruiser, but felt it too pricey, and I didn't think I had the bricks for it, without pulling averything apart. Khatmorg's beautiful MOC found here, got me to rethink the project, so behold. WIP: Structure and hull WIP: sides added Finally built - front view Cockpit open Rear view I don't have nearly enough dark red bricks, so a lot is substituted with normal red bricks. The escape pods are partly from the LEGO City Cargo Terminal set, and even though I hate stickers for MOC-reasons, I actually think the red/white checkers works ok for this set. I'm really happy the way it turned out (even though it is nowhere near as awesome as Khatmorg's version). I have also tried to incorporate LEGO's technic-handle. I get why TLG does this on some sets to increase stability/playability/swooshabilty and so on, but I actually think it's a shame as you limit the play-options you would get with having the set more like Khatmorgs version where there is more room for minifigs. And I will probably be MOD'ing it further away from the LEGO model in the weeks ahead. Upon finalizing the build I found this picture: ...so now I'm pulling everything apart and building it in white/grey/blue instead. (Yay more build time).

From TLG regarding packaging: The decision has been made to change the packaging for future “LEGO® exclusive” Star Wars™ sets to include the UCS seal and de-link from the core Star Wars packaging. In addition to the packaging change an update has been made to the building instructions. The building instructions will have additional pages detailing the model’s connection to the movie and its development process. Much as the Creator Expert badge differentiates the larger models from the core assortment the goal of this change is to better communicate to builders that these sets represent our biggest building challenge in the LEGO® Star Wars™ theme.
  13. So can any one give me some ideas of what I should do to modify my set. I would like to keep some what the way it is as it is modeled after the version seen in season 2 of star Wars the Clone Wars Holocron Heist. It would also be nice if they could be done medium to minimal requirement of pieces as I would be using the spare pieces I have already not going to go and buy new pieces just to mod it. Thanks to all who can help me!
  14. My newest project on ideas.lego - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/90686 Hope you like it! Hope you like it. Leave your feedback! Thanks!
  15. So while waiting for Episode two I decided to do a small free build of my character getting the mission brief for Episode 1 from Mon Mothma :) Pihlbrick getting the details on Cloud city platform. It's very important to know where to go to rescue civilians you know. Far away shot for more roof details View from one end And view from the other end Bottom view without the lit up switchboard Standard view without lit up swithchboard I will try to take better pictures in daylight, and hope to have them up before episode two starts,(dramatic music) dun dun dun :) It's hard to tell but the transparent green is supposed to be a holographic representation of parts of cloud city :)t is And so it is updated with blue hologram (thanks Duke) and daylight pictures - which of course makes the light up harder. I would very much like this free build judged :)
  16. Hey Guys, recently I have gone out of my DARK AGES but those times I abandoned my Lego creativity especially building Mocs, about Star Wars Now I am just a collector, I never build the Lego sets I bought it just sits in my Lego collection wardrobe but since then I have been thinking to restore my Lego child imagination but I know I cannot do it alone I need help, unfortunately here in the Philippines very few build custom Lego Star Wars that I really, really want to build and show in my meager collection. But Fortunately I have the internet and the internet allows me to access THE EUROBRICKS Now I need your help (not mandatory but out of love ) so that I can rediscover my Lego Imagination! - Link any pages that shows any custom Lego Star wars Builds -Post a pic about your very own creation -Comment/ Share any good Lego Star Wars Build DUE REMEMBER WHEN YOUR POSTING AND LINKING PLEASE IT MUST HAVE INSTRUCTIONS ON IT! THANKS
  17. "We were positioned above the Prisoners and Evacuees, who would walk down with all their possessions, (precious few things at that) , to be moved to a less dangerous sector. Of course, they have to get past the Empire on Bespin first, but everyone knows that Stormtroopers can't shoot so if I were leaving I'd be more worried if they were aiming for the ship next to mine. Still, we've captured a few Imperial officers; they're off for questioning I think. No resistance. Jon McEncy. End log" My entry for episode 1 . I can't really make anything big, so I decided on a chunk of corridor. The lighting isn't good but I couldn't help that. I'm going to make a few free builds after this.
  18. Hey, I've been MOCing scenes from the Star Wars movies (pretty much exclusively OT) but I've only just gotten round to posting! This is my latest - the infamous Bespin Duel. Checked loads of movie stills, but couldn't find a single view of the whole gantry, so I've taken a bit of artistic licience. The main reason it's taken so long to get round to is the lack of a Bespin Luke minifig - I've put him together from a rebel technician torso and Johnny Thunder (jungle) legs! https://flic.kr/p/wn2iaz https://flic.kr/p/wjfUPC https://flic.kr/p/w4XH5h https://flic.kr/p/vpy9y3 https://flic.kr/p/wkUu2W https://flic.kr/p/w4Xwvu https://flic.kr/p/wmzexk I couldn't resist getting Luke to throw himself off at the end! https://flic.kr/p/wn2m6V
