I'll post more shots later when I get the chance, however for now I'll give a shot of the finally completed model. This took me a lot of time to get it how I felt passable. Especially how there are a lot of Allied Avenger inspired spacecraft. Finally in the last few days, I have completed it after much editing, probably the longest time yet I've spent fiddling about with one moc! GenX probably sounds odd to some, however it just seemed to fit for me. I'll post more pictures soon, hope you enjoy this for now and like the model.

[begin Transmission] [Type - Alliance Report] [security - High] [Report from: Vedauwoo (Pilot) {HV-37}] [Location: Spaceport 8 - "Bed for Spaceship," Nar Eubrikka] It cost us most of our credits and 3 astromech droids, but we've secured a small Home in the form of an abandoned Hangar deep in the swamps of Nar Eubrikka. It's actually not far from [REDACTED] which makes supply runs a breeze. It's called "bed for spaceship" in Huttese, but the official Designation was "Hangar 8." The swamps remind me of growing up on Gelgelar...but it's much warmer here... We spent the first few days checking out the surroundings, before bringing the ship down for repairs.... "The Ship" being the new HV-37 Prototype Heavy Starfighter..... We assembled her from the Remnants of an A/SF-01 "B-wing," a burned out half of a V-19 "Torrent" and an old H-60 "Tempest." The twin Slayn & Korpil JZ-5 Fusial Thrust Engine Clusters give her an incredible amount of both power and maneuverability. Needless to say, it's taken a great deal of follow up maintenance to fully integrate the systems of all the donor craft... Not to mention the repairs the Hangar itself needed.... Even with one bad circuit...we were able to get the fuel to flow.... [END TRANSMISSION] ========================================== Thanks for visiting! -

Master Data, this is Lord Mantis! Pause the simulation. We need you down here now! There's been a leak in one of the fuel cells. If it reaches the central power battery, this entire building will explode, crippling our operations in this sector. IR-wIN is taking care of it right now. IR-wIN: Already dispatched alien mechanic and rescue pod. How did that saw blade get stuck there in the first place? Don't ask! We need you to take out the new fighter to pick up some more power battery cells. The energy used to fix the fuel cell will probably deplete our last reserves. Alright, Howie, prime the fighter! End Log Well, I'm back (for now)! I wanted to come back with a bang, so I went to the extreme: 48x48. I also introduced IR-wIN and Lord Mantis. My studio couldn't hold the model, so my overhead shots aren't the best, but I hope you enjoy it!

This creation was inspired by Nick Trotta’s mind blowing starfighters, and is an entry into the Mystery Bag category of the 2016 MOCAthalon. For the category I had 5 parts that I had to include in the build: Plate 1×2 with Door Rail, Barb Large Flexible, Brick 1×1 with Headlight, Plate with Angular Extension, and the Scorpion. I’d been wanting to do a star-fighter for a while and given the required parts selection, a star-fighter in the shape of a scorpion seemed like the obvious choice. When I acquired set 9495 when it was released, I thought it was the perfect Y-Wing. A few years later, I decided to do my own version. Here's what I came up with: One important detail I wanted was for the astromech droid to be able to sit perpendicular to the ship: For the engines, I kept the original 9495 nacelle and engine assembly, but bulked it up with several greebled plates. I really liked the bomb-dropping feature of 9495, so I installed it in my MOC. I hope you like it!

Cliché Rodian bounty hunter Ronnagond Jarra doesn't always like her starfighters flowery and pastel-colored, but when she does, they have big guns. This is the first of three ships I made for the 14x14x6 Starfighter Contest. The contest's basic premise, for those too lazy to follow the link, is to build a minifig-scale starfighter that is capable of fitting within a box with a volume of precisely 14x14x6 studs (not bricks high, studs high). I chose to engineer folding spacecraft rather than super small ones (chibi scale) that would just fit right in. Observe: Fully capable of fitting into my fancy box, without the stand, of course. I actually had to redesign this one after I thought I had finished because the big gun was originally placed horizontally (that is, with the two-stud-long side flush with the ship's belly) with a technic pin so it could just swivel 180 degrees out from the bottom when in compact mode, effectively doubling the ship's length. However, I overlooked that this nonnegotiable detail boosted the height just over 6 studs (darned tall cockpits) and I was unwilling to reconfigure the cockpit, as you may have noticed that it flows nicely into the medium azure angled slope piece behind it. I eventually came up with the droid arm-and-T-piece solution, which allows it to sit in the box at a steep enough angle to keep the cockpit just at the height limit. The new gun solution doubles the ship's length as before but also increases its height by approximately 30% all while making it...wait for it...20% cooler. Obligatory detail shots: Left side. Head-on view of the front. You know the gun is big enough when it evades your camera's focus! The right side. The backside, showing the propulsion output array. There's a hyperdrive in there somewhere... I don't build much Star Wars stuff and in all honesty the only reason this is here, rather than in the Sci-fi forum, is because the pilot is a Rodian, but hey... It kind of looks like a letter, right? Oh, wait...it doesn't... not really... ...and I just realized that if Ronnagond is a bounty hunter, how in the name of ponies is she going to stuff any bounties she captures into this tiny thing...? I bet some of you thought I had forgotten about LEGO. Well this proves you wrong. Spent about six hours building this over two days. I've really been wanting to build a nice spaceship after seeing all of the nice STG fighters. It's quite sturdy, and I've had some great swoosh sessions. Also my entry for the Part Challenge. Hey SteamWars-friends This is my interpretation of how the iconic Starfighter of Obi Wan might have looked in the Victorian Ages. Entry for the SteamWars-Madness on FBTB in the semifinals against Markus. And in addition i build a fitting HyperSteam-Ring for faster travelling through the SteamWars-Univsers: More photos can be be found here. All my SteamWars build will also be displayed in Skaerbaek. Made this for a freebuild for SoNE. The build won't be ready for about a week since I need some parts from Bricklink in order to finish this Headhunter as well as another (the other one will be smaller, have four engines, and be gray; in other words, a more "Rebel-like'" version), and improve my currently horrendously ugly Tie Fighter. The cockpit and the unnervingly cheerful pilot. A sight my TIE pilot will never get to see. The cones on the engines aren't canon, but I think it gives it a more clone-wars feel. The engines. When the BL order comes in, it'll have authentic pink exhaust. Until then, my camera is rebelling by taking blurry pictures of them. The wing-tip blaster. My second-most favorite part. Has anyone else wondered where the proton torpedo launchers were? I mean, Episode IV didn't show the X-Wing when the torpedoes were being launched, and there aren't any visible exit ports on the fighter to my knowledge. And here's my most favorite part: the back panel flips down to reveal the engine... ...which comes out for maintenance. Or, you know, if you need to jettison the engine so you can have less weight mid-flight That's it. Overall, I'm really pleased with how this turned out

I've always loved the TIE Defender. Since I didn't have any TIE cockpit pieces at the time of this build, I just made a drone. The engines. I imagine it must be very fast.

It's been a while since I've posted MOCs here, but I thought I should get into the habit of doing it again. Here's my most recent MOC, a starfighter built for round 5 of the Starfighter Telephone Game on Flickr. After receiving a starfighter from another builder, the aim of the game is to interpret/evolve it into your own design, which you then pass onto the next builder in the team. (Click for a hi-res version) Circuit Breaker is an evolution of Ryan H's Phasor (pictured on the left). Advanced alien technology puts delicate mechanics on the outside. While this provides acute sub-wave sensitivity, Circuit Breaker scout ships must rely on their quick maneuverability provided by retractable retro-thrusters, in order to survive forays in hostile space. Circuit Breaker ships are equipped laser saw fangs instead of any ranged weapons or countermeasures. Also wing functions!

This build is for the Interstellar Outpost contest on Flickr. The idea is to build a one-man starfighter, landing pad, ground support vehicle, and comm station that together form a space outpost. I don't build sci-fi a lot, so this was a good challenge. After so many Castle builds, using lots of bright colors was really fun. The starfighter's wings rotate with a twist of the knob on top, to switch between flight and hover/landing mode; it also has a functional landing gear. The tanker truck has working steering (also operated by the knob on top) and 'suspension'. The comm station has a full interior and the landing pad doubles as a storage area. Hu hu, after short introduction, I wanted to present my newest MOC. It's a starfighter, a viper and I am sure it is not the last one. Inspired by T-5 DUOLOS X-Viper by nate_decastro. First of all, happy 2014 everyone! What better way to kick the New Year off with a new MOC. Not just that, what you are about to see is pretty much a fresh format, almost like a reboot. Now that POV-Ray is working well, it means that the detail is much more real compared to the old method of just using LDraw snapshots, making it almost cartoony, in some ways it does look cool and old school, however I’d much prefer it looking more real. The logos have also been given a revamp and made sleeker with an overall less excess baggage look, hopefully you’ll enjoy seeing the changes as much as I enjoyed working on them come together. Right, my next MOC you might recognise is a modern nod to a certain older Blacktron ship design Lego released in 91, and one of their best in my view. There have been modern remakes of it, however I felt it was a good idea to break the mould a bit and make a bit of a different design approach. I give you the Blacktron Revenger, while small, it makes up for it in sheer speed, agility and flexibility of being able to pretty much fit in and be a use anywhere. The fastest single piloted craft in the galaxy. Four powerful weapon heads on each of the four wings, and with top secret research and development by mischievous Blacktron scientists, the ship can fire either lasers or torpedo’s, or for even more it can fire all four lasers into one to make a more powerful destructive beam. Yellow Version And as a further extra, some more generations of it. Future Generation Version Yes I know, it rendered trans yellow, although I thought it looked pretty cool and a bit different but still looking like Future Generation so I kept it like that, they look more trans yellow in the catalogue pictures too to my eyes. Blacktron 3 Version My personal take on the Blacktron 3 look. And finally some space shots. There are a lot of pictures so the rest can be seen in this link. I also while I was at it revamped the last few MOC’s that just used the less detailed LDraw picture format. Anyway, enjoy!

Hello everyone. Here is my third and final entry for the Revenge of the Sith Community Build: Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter. My previous entries can be found here and here. About a month ago, Jason C. Hand posted this: his own updated version of seniorgronk's Delta-7 Aethersprite-class Interceptor, commonly known as the 'Jedi Starfighter'. Seeing that inspired me to have a go myself, and here is the result... I started with the stock JSF model that was seen piloted by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Attack of the Clones, and then modded it to make the version seen being used by Plo Koon in Revenge of the Sith. Unfortunately, and very sadly, the Jedi Master was shot down while flying this ship by his comrade Captain Jag, when Chancellor Palpatine commanded the execution of Order 66. I have, of course, made a few mods and recolours to the ship which I will post shortly, so stay tuned! LXF File (warning - due to some possible dodgy techniques according to LDD, the file is subject to slow performance and crashes) Please do not re-use the file or images without my permission. This is my another Vic Viper Starfighter build for Novvember 2013 challenge in Flickr Vic Viper group. Also a rough quick build, non reference original gradius model based. First time using the canopy for my starfighter build and also tried "dark green-black-reddish brown" colours combo which I think would add fierce military looks on this starfighter. It has been a while since I have shown anything, I'll admit I don't think this one is anything special, it is more filler if anything, although because the Star Wars windscreens went together well and the drill weapon on the front was ok, I suppose a craft is a craft at the end of the day and I found it passable enough at least to make it a nifty fighter. I am however looking forward to showing what I have coming after this over time, as I am much happier with them, it's only just about to get better, and if I can get POV-Ray to work as said before in other threads then even better. What you might say is a townie building something sci-fi ? Well, I was looking for some parts for a town project and found some black dragon components from a sea monster from the Atlantis series. So now I present DRAGONCLAW...... This craft has two rear and four side thrusters, two forward heavy PSC's (what I call Plasma Shock Cannons) and two small PSC's which is for protection from rear attack. Said rear guns are adjustable too. I'm not sure when I will create my next fighter.....I need that spark on finding that odd ball part. Comments welcome just like in the town forum.

I've not really done anything Classic Space MOC wise and thought this would be a good chance to do one with the recent Lego Movie and return of classic space and space somewhat in general with the sets that are going to be released, which I'll be buying for my collection. Anyway, while I like the large Spaceship (70816), I personally prefer the smaller one as seen in the promo poster in this thread. I decided to make my own version/interpretation of it. It is different from the Lego version as I like to make my stuff streamlined, as well as some of the details being a bit different, however hopefully it stays faithful to the original while also offering a personal flavour to it. Here it is, I'll get more pictures up in time. Hope you like it.

Due to the complicated engine fuselage, this is a particular hard to build model with increasing difficulty the smaller you get by maintaining all details. I hope you will enjoy the following images.
