Before coming up with the final design for my I had a few other drafts, most of which I had to abandon because they were just a bit too big to fit my room. I recently stumbled upon these and I thought I'd post them here in case someone would be interested in trying them out. Like the final layout, they all have 3 independent interchangeable tracks. https://drive.google...Z3VOaUgwVTcwaWs https://drive.google...R1R6czlrVjV1dkE https://drive.google...TUFqZ1VFSDVVZlU https://drive.google...QmxZY0hBbGxDVXM

EDIT: It's done (for now)!! Still waiting on a few more bricklink orders and several more hours bangin my head against my desk finishing decals in photoshop, but as my first MOC post & first post-darkage creation I was a little excited to show her to the world. Not 100% if I'll stick with #6936 because it's still running in UP's heritage fleet, or #6913 because its in Texas. As you can see the yellow is still off in the decals plus I have a few hundred more to apply but these are just the first ones I printed to fine tune the colors on my printer. I'll have HQ pictures on brickshelf in a few days once my camera comes back from repairs.

Presenting my Rescue Train Car MOC I made this on suggestion from Lightningtiger that my fire train needed more cars. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=100199 Plus I like unique railroad equipment and am going through a "Train Age" in my LEGO life. zephyr1934 found a nice article on fire & rescue trains: http://wildfiretoday.com/2010/08/24/fighting-fire-with-a-train/ This MOC is based off a Swiss tunnel fire rescue train. The rescue car is used for evacuating passengers and the injured to a safe location while the fire equipment and water cars stay behind to fight the fire. My MOC has room for one minifig on stretcher, 3 sitting and 6 standing. Play features include crane for lifting stretcher, openable doors, drop down ladders/steps, and removeable roof for accessing interior. There is a cabinet to store medical and other supplies. KIDZ CAR'S AND TRAIN'S EXHIBITION My name is Richard Banks and i am organising the very first model car and train exhibition aimed exclusively at children in the Hampshire area. The event will be designed to allow children to watch, interact and play (that's up to you!) with train tracks and car tracks and help raise money for a local charity (this year will be Little Sunbeams Preschool) I am sending this email to clubs, associations, toy shops, hobbyists and enthusiasts throughout Hampshire and beyond to garner interest and exhibitors for the car and train exhibition. I believe that this type of event which mixes scalextrix, model trains, plarail, brio, r/c cars, lego trains (and more obscure ones!) is a first for Hampshire and is a real chance for all clubs and associations to promote themselves, their services and products while creating an engaging and fun environment for children of all ages to play in. We are expecting 100-150 visitors on the day, all of whom will have the chance to visit your exhibition! The exhibition will be held in the Lockswood centre, Locks heath, Fareham on the 28th September between the hours of 10am and 5pm and there is NO charge for exhibitors. If you are interested, want to know more or are able to help spread the word to other exhibitors (or anything else!) i would like to hear from you. Please be assured that whatever you can exhibit at the event will be welcome and any fears that allay from the play aspect of this event are entirely at your discretion!

Today I made a new 12V layout that exactly fits the space between furniture in my living room, using various building tricks to bring the track where I want. I will be using this track to test a dual-voltage JR700 Shinkansen, that can run seamlessly on either 12V or 9V tracks. It uses a 12V pickup brick that feeds into the 9V engine using electric plates (trick discussed in these forums): https://drive.google...RDdqazRZZzJ1ZGc
