This is my first time entering the Expand the Winter Village contest, so I'll accept comments and criticism! (I want to know how to improve ) My entry is a horse stable and cottage. At first it was only going to be a horse stable but it was too small so I decided to add the cottage to make it more comfortable! In the front of the cottage, there's some mistletoe hanging and some lanterns too. The inside of the cottage holds a small painting on the wall, along with a sofa, a small table, a stove and a fireplace... ...if you push the fireplace... Bam! You fall underneath! The photo doesn't really show the fireplace being moved but just know that when it gets pushed, the minifig falls. Next up is horse stable. We've seen many horses in the winter village theme but we have never seen a proper stable. We also have a small carriage. This can hold a minifigure inside but in here it's used to transport hay. We also have two rather large lampposts. Hope you like it, and good luck to everyone whose entering! Any comments and criticism will be appreciated! Alright, here's my entry for the Expand the Winter Village contest A gingerbread house! Sadly, it is not edible And inside... A candy store, of course. Here is a view of the side, complete with a rather unhappy looking fellow who seems to have wandered into the wrong season... The roof also opens. …Sorry about that, Santa. That is one expensive popsicle... Here's a link to some more pictures: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=561035 Thanks for looking! Good luck to everyone entering, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Season's Greetings/whatever floats your boat Side note… let me know if the pictures are working, the right size, spontaneously combusting etc. as I'm relatively new to sharing pictures and though I believe I've done everything right if something's amiss let me know! Thanks!

Hello all, I am one of those crazy fans who loves the Winter Village line all year long. I am constantly looking for sets that can be modifed to fit the vintage feel of the Winter Village. I currently have all the usual suspects in my village including the smaller limited edition sets from each year. I also have a few creator sets including Changing seasons and Mountain Hut. Last year I modified a Medieval Market as well as the small building from London Chase. I have a pretty small but growing collection of parts so I prefer finding official sets that can be modified instead of MOCs. Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Here's my little entry to the expand the winter market contest, a charity choir. With all the focus on spending money during the holidays, a few of the locals decide to put together a small mixed choir and try to rais some money for the poor. They found a small snow mound to stand on and startet singing. All the children where given a glowing wand just for fun, and all those who had santa hats or red scarfs at home put them on, to give a feeling of unity. And even a prisoner from the local prison was allowed to join in (escorted of course). An overview of the setup. A close up of the choir. People are almost running to donate money. A view from above. Some of the audience and the conductor. Quite a lot of money has been donated as you can see.

Lucia is a swedish tradition. On the morning of 13th of december the lucia and a procession comes with candles and sings christmas carols and serve up saffron buns and gingerbreads. Usually every town choses their own lucia. The first image shows the mayor that gives the candle crown to the lucia. Second image shows the lucia with the crown on Last image shows the whole procession with the lucia in the middle. Some more pictures can be found on my flickr http://www.flickr.co...s/86394332@N03/

Hi Everyone! This is my entry for the Expand the Winter Village Contest IV. When i see the theme, 'expand upon the theme of the Winter Village Market', the first thing that came to my mind is food. So i work on having more food/drink stall to add into the Winter market. My Food stall is a four sided stall, and each side is selling either food or drink (Beers, how can one miss it in a winter market )And to add more playability, i have make it that it can be open up and have all the stalls to be seen. This is an overall view of my food stall; A quick introduction of the stalls On the left is a pretzel stall selling tasty pretzels, and on the right is a macaroons stall selling colorful and sweet macaroons On the left is a sausage stall selling yummy Bratwurst sausage, and the right is a beer stall selling varieties of beer And this is the back view of the stall when open up Hope you guys like it :) And Merry Christmas! More pictures of the stall and how it is open up can be found at my flickr photosteam
