  1. Hi, everyone on this forum! The Force Awakens sets is already available to buy, but except the 75099 Rey's Speeder, 75100 First Order Snowspeeder and 75103 First Order Transporter, I not very impressed with the others, espiecally the 75102 because of several inaccuracies when compared to the trailer. As a example, the wings on 75102 don't close like in the trailer. So, I builded this T-70 based on what a Lego T-70 X wing suppose to look like in my thinking. It's heavily based on 9493, but the cockpit canopy and the wings are different from 9493 and 75102. Incom T-70 X wing Starfighter lxf picture by ArmstrongYong, on Flickr Sorry about the longer laser cannon. I just realized that mistake after I posted this topic. Some screenshots of this T-70 X wing using both LDD and BlueRender. I know it suppose to designed to fit the new astromech droids like BB-8, but I prefer this design more, so I designed it like that. Need a LDD file of this model ? Download it by pressing here. (If you interested) Note: The actual LXF File may vary from the pictures in this topic. Any comments, critisms, and suggestion are welcome.
  2. After building my minifig scale T-70 i got the urge to go bigger and start an UCS version. So here she is besides her little sister, hope you enjoy the pics and build. Also a big shout out to usfighting and his amazing T-65 he made here... http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=104810, amazing model and big inspiration in making mine.
  3. Hi All! New member here, looking to start sharing some of the stuff I've been working on since I got back into LEGO moc'ing after my dark ages. I don't have a lot of display space or a large collection, so I've been enjoying focusing on small desk-top display models, which fits great with Microfig sized stuff. My latest project is the T-70 X-wing in microfig scale, at least approximately. It's inspired by Brickdoctor's midi x-wing from one of his advent calendar series, and by the Psiaki x-wing's nose. I'm planning to buy the pieces to build it in real bricks, but for now I've just got renders. I apologize for the funky lighting - I'm still learning the render software. I'm still trying to work out some design issues. The cockpit piece is the best solution I've found, but it's obviously not nearly long enough. I don't really like it, but haven't been able to build or find anything I like better. I'm also still trying to figure out how to move the front landing strut further forward without messing up the profile. Having landing gear, even if they're just hinge plates, is important to me for some reason. I'm also uncertain I've got the wing and engine proportions right, so I may play around with that a bit more. So what do you think? Any ideas on how I can improve it? 5. Although this has been up on Flickr for a good while now, I thought I might as well share it here too :) This is my version of Poe's T-70 from The Force Awakens (but of course you already knew that :P) The model features the all important S-foils, opening cockpit, functional landing gear and a working droid lift for BB-8 Poe’s T-70 X wing (1) by Inthert, on Flickr Poe’s T-70 X wing (8) by Inthert, on Flickr Poe’s T-70 X wing (9) by Inthert, on Flickr Instructions, more information and pictures are available on my Flickr page and even more pictures are now up on Brickshelf. Following a conversation on Flickr, I now appreciate that the forward fuselage isn't quite right for a T-70, this is something I'm planning on modifying when I get the time. Any other suggestions or comments are very welcome!
  6. Hi, Last month I worked on a MOC for TechLUG contest about Death star attack. I tried to do something new. My aim was to create a view of Home One desk with Endor and the Death Star II. I havn't enough bricks to do all this at the same scale (and obviously for making endor and the DS at minifig scale ! ). I tried to do a perspective but without cheating on computer by working on the picture and the background. All the perspective is real when you are standing in front of the MOC. You have 3 size of X-Wing, 4 of A-wing, 3 of minifigs,...(the minifig scale A-Wing and X-wing are just MOD because of contest deadline, and also because I like the A-Wing design actually.) As some ones told me, the walls are too clean, not enough greebs. I had only 2 months to find an idea and create it during spare times. Here are the pictures... Here is the smaller guy on the deck...juste in front an A-Wing on fire! And here is how it is constructed.
  7. Hey there, it's me again with the next one of my MOC's, created a few weeks ago. It's my mocced LEGO version of the X-83 TwinTail Starfighter, known from the legacy era of the Expanded Universe. It's a part of the X-Wing starfighter series, and is used about 130 Years ABY by the New Jedi Order. The X-83 is a single-pilot Starfighter, with support from an Astromech-droid, which has manufactured into the ship. This Starfighter is equipped with a Shield-generator, a strong armour and armed with four enhanced heavy laser-cannons and a proton-torpedo launcher. In atmospheric, as in space flight, the X-83 is a particularly maneuverable fighter. Like the T-65 X-Wing, the X-83 has S-foils too. This shown model is created out of 437 bricks, including the Pilot. It's build in minifigure-scale and fits in it's size to the third generation (2012) x-wing. Created as a concept model in LDD . X-83 TwinTail Starfighter, Mocced in LDD, rendered in Pov-Ray X-83 TwinTail with reference Picture Rearview of X-83 TwinTail X-83 TwinTail with landinggear and closed S-foils. I have uploaded it on Cuusoo too, so maybe, you would support me. It would be great.. ;) Altough, take a look at my other MOC here on Eurobricks: E-Wing Escort Starfighter Best Regards $leeper
  8. Hello everyone. After a long time I have returned with a “new” MOC. The idea came some years ago, when I noticed the several inaccuracies in the official X-wing models. I already had the first two sets, but at some point I realized that the official models have enough inaccuracies to justify upcoming re-releases. So I started to think how a proper LEGO X-wing should be for me. I began with a simple LDD file which I showed two years ago here in EuroBricks. But after that I noticed my model was really unstable, so I decide to redesign the entire MOC until I was happy with it. And was very hard to be happy with the WIP, because that redesign took me a lot of time, and the final result has almost nothing in common with that first .lxf file. After delaying more than two years, that amount of time even looks wasted if you take in consideration that I still have the official versions. And the MOC is nothing new due the high number of great T-65 MOCs around the internet. Here are the pictures: -The cockpit can be opened and you can sit a minifg inside. There is also a targeting computer adapted for minifigs. -The S-foils can be opened manually like the first LEGO X-wing. -The landing gear can be retracted from the nose and the wings, like the “real” one. -The cargo bay door can be opened, although there’s no so much space inside. Thanks for your time, I hope you like it. As always, every comment is welcome. Gallery: Version 1.0 (2010) Version 2.0 (2012)
  9. Originally, I set out to make an Advent calendar sized version of the Episode VII X-Wing. That failed effort turned into this. I guess this could be an evolved iteration of the X-Wing for Episode X, but I am set on the idea that this model is actually the McQuarrie-esque version of the X-Wing for the inevitable Star Wars series reboot. 10. This was really fun to make. It's no masterpiece or anything, but Id love to hear what you think.
  11. Continuing my habit of making displays for my poybags, here is my display for my Mini X-Wing Fighter As you can see, it holds it up quite well And let me try out a new way of making a space background I hope you like it! And, remember, comments are always appreciated!
