My shipyards have been busy - Green Winds a week ago wasn't the last ship they would build either way. While I was glad how fast Green Winds was, the beauty of Schooners never really hit me, and many others have suggested me to give my shipyards the order to build a Xebec - they are supposedly great ships, both for trade and for travel; for war and defence we have other ships. As I suspected that a Xebec should be able to keep up with Green Winds, I ordered my shipbuilders to paint her in the same colours. They succeeded in both ways - she seems to fit well with the colours of Green Winds; and considering how well she plays with the wind I have decided to name her Colour of the Wind. Lets go around her in our small boat and look: We start on the Port side: Go to the Stern: Around to the Starboard side: And finish our tour around looking at the bow: So, after we checked her out while she's still standing here, lets look at her next to Green Winds - well, lets say let a bird look at them next to each other: As you can see she's only a little bit shorter than Green Winds; as well as that she is a lot sleeker, so she should be more than equal in speed. ______ So, a quick overview over the facts: time spent building - no stopwatch running, started 1 1/2 days ago 4 longguns Captain Lum Liddle Owner Jerome Monezterrell(me) Build by Monezterrell' Shipyards (might be at some point in the future) Tradecompany MAESTRO crew: 10 men Rating: class 5F ______ sorry about the picture quality, the weather is bad and they just didn't come out any better. I might take new ones next weekend! Same goes for the typical pictures with my entire fleet - not the right weather for that today sadly. Next week! Nobody tell me that Stern is overhanging to far!

The 4A Defender of Bastion was sent to be used in New Oleon, since the vessel couldn't even handle two smaller vessels. A suitable replacement vessel has come to fulfill role fresh from Rogian Sea along with a diverse crew featuring natives from the New Oleon region. No need to worry about their loyalties; they are all loyal to the king and gods. The deck stayed studly mainly because I did not want to attempt too many advanced techniques with this type of vessel. The decks, stern, bow, and masts were hard enough to make sturdy. I don't have large enough material for large, lateen sails. I did find an art supply store that may have sail material I would like to use available in rolls. I just haven't had the opportunity. I had used this large image for reference.

Hello All! The Lady Jacqueline started as my attempt at a free license ship for the MRCA. As you can see I got just a little carried away with the size thing. I have made two versions, below is my Corrington version, the other, slight more medieval version can be seen on flickr. Based on the CGH pre-fab hull method, and heavily influenced by Napoleon's French Xebec. I feel she'd be around a Class 5F, but happy to hear other opinions/suggestions (I'd have probably originally said 4F, but there is no such class! and I believe she definitely deserves the 'F' designation!). I will license her when I have the appropriate funds, which probably won't be for a couple of months. The below table is for indexing purposes. Type of Ship: Xebec Class: 5F Licensed: Not yet (I need slightly more funds!) Yes! Master: Matthew Sawkins Owner: Dirk Allcock The Lady Jacqueline is the vessel that Captain Dirk Allcock purchased for his expedition to the new world. A Xebec, she is manoeuvrable and very fast. She is Captained by Matthew Sawkins, an experienced former Naval Captain. Her armament consists of four cannons (2 are currently stored below) and together with small arms and a detachment of 3 Royal Marines led by an experienced Sergeant. The weapons stored at the entrance to the cabin may seem a bit medieval, but the Marine Sergeant assures all who query that they prove their worth in close combat boardings.

Looking out his window, Lord Maximilian Damaximus saw the "Margot" in front of the bay of Stedor. Fully equiped with 55 guns. Although they still are working on the rigging, he couldn't wait until she was seaworthy. He sighed, last month trade run was terrible. The "Knight of Stedor" had to return to it's first port, the "Appleseed" sunk and the "Sulky Harlequin" made only 98 db's profit (divided by 10 shareholders, that was almost nothing). If he ever wanted to get a licence for "Margot", it would take ages at the current revenues. Although the "Sulky Harlequin" made a terrible run, the way CSC licenced her was an example of innovation. And Maximilian was sure the odds will change the upcomming trade run! Time to do some business with the Corringtonlalanders. At the Stedorian Quays, the "Purple Rain" was packing some tradegoods. A decent fast and well-armed ship, ready to rock'n roll! -------------------------------- Captain Matt Lenoir was looking over the stern to Stedor. His new ship the "Purple Rain" just set sail to Terelli. He loved Stedor, the white harbor, the vibrant atmosphere, the dangerously looking fortress and especially the Governal Palace on the mountain, watching over the Bay. He looked to the Licence in his hands and smiled. Finally he had a decent ship under his command! Lord Maximilian Damaximus gave him even 2 Elite Guards to protect the ship. And as it is a joint-venture with some Corrington investors, two Corrington soldiers are on board as well.
