I was inspired by Overwatch set 75972 (Dorado Showdown) to create this modular small town auto repair shop with 1950s tow truck. I call the building Smokeys Garage. The building features a raised platform for cars to roll onto and be worked on, with folding ramps to keep the broken-down vehicle (in this case a dark blue Ford Anglia set 75953 MOD) in place. The front of the building. I've been working on this tow truck and building on and off basically since the Overwatch theme released in 2019. The rear of the building featuring a few empty oil barrels and some old engines. The main floor of the building, with the ramps lowered for receiving a broken-down car. Several types of tools hang from the walls. Upstairs on the second floor is the employee break room. The eight wide hover-truck from Overwatch set 75972 has been turned into a 6-studs wide 1950's-style tow truck. Rear of the truck. The hook is too high off the ground to actually pull anything... The cab roof is removable to seat the driver behind the wheel. This 1960s car is a heavily modified version of the Ford Anglia in the 2018 Harry Potter set 75953 - Hogwarts Whomping Willow, remade into dark blue. It has broken down, and is being worked on at Smokeys Garage. (my most recent modular building) The rear of the Anglia. The car has an opening trunk and cabin doors, and also seats one figure. This model was originally by Hachiroku24 as the flying car driven by the Weasley's in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. In real life, the car type used in the film was made by Ford for sale in the United Kingdom and was called the "Anglia". This particular version (a 105-E Super) was built from 1959 - 1968. I've wanted a accurate version of the flying car driven by the Weasley's in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I have been doing this cycle of building, revising with newer parts, tearing apart, and repeat since 2002 when the original set 4728 (Escape from Privet Drive) was released. I changed the color from the original medium blue to black around 2004 and revised the wheel size around 2011. Now I have added a new style front end to the car via a design by Hachiroku24. Oh, and the mini-figure in the picture is my sig-fig, which is NOT included with the car in the LDD file. The car without my sig-fig. The car can seat two mini-figures on jumper plates, and also features opening doors and trunk with plenty of space. The rear of the car features a license plate and a jumper plate to represent the exhaust pipe. As I said, the car fits two mini-figures comfortably. (The steering wheel is in the wrong spot for UK driving, but I live in the USA so I changed it for right-side driving here in the States.) Here you can see the original Hachiroku24 model, which inspired me to revamp my car. Here is my heavy MOD of 2020 set 75968, 4 Privet Drive. The car is a dark blue version of the Anglia in 2018's Hogwarts Whomping Willow set (75953), and fits inside the added garage. Here is the front of the house. I added a visible chimney flue, as I didn't like how the set kept the one hidden inside the wall. The rear of the building features a greenhouse and back door to both the house and garage. The greenhouse folds up and open to get at the inside of it, which at this point holds only a telephone. On the lower floor of the inside is the living room (with record player, couch, and fireplace), kitchen and dining area (stove, sink, table and two chairs). The upper floor features a lamp on a table and a bed. This 1962 Ford Anglia 105E is based off set 75953 (Hogwarts Whomping Willow), but in dark blue. (and no, it does not fly!) The rear trunk opens slightly. Two of this part are missing in dark bluish gray, and four of this part are missing in dark blue to finish the car. The LDD file is available at Bricksafe here. Here is a revamped and revised version of Harry Potter set 4728, Escape from Privet Drive. It includes a updated 1959 Ford Anglia 105E (in medium blue of course!) and an enlarged house, with a lamp by the front door and a printed number four tile below that. (The tile print isn't in LDD yet) This is what the house looks like when it is closed. It doesn't look that great, but it certainly looks better than it it did in the original 2002 set! (Link to the set: http://brickset.com/...om-Privet-Drive ) The house features a upstairs bedroom with bed, chest-of-drawers, and a lamp. The ground floor features a table with two chairs, couch and a fireplace. This car is based on the Ford Anglia 105E, which was made from 1959 to 1968. It had a 997 cc overhead-valve straight-4 with an oversquare cylinder bore for an engine and a four-speed (manual) gearbox with synchromesh on the top three forward ratios. (this was replaced by an all-synchromesh box in September 1962.) ...And no, the flying gear is / was NOT a standard feature! The estate car version was tested by British "Motor" Magazine in 1959 and reached a top speed of 73.8 MPH (118.8 km/h) and could accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 26.9 seconds. (The version I built is the 2 door saloon) The inspiration for this model (and basis for most of it's design) was the 2002 Harry Potter set 4728, Escape from Privet Drive. The info above was read off of Wikipedia and retyped / rearranged. This particular model seen here is the 1959 version, complete with backward slanting rear window which supposedly kept it clear of rain... at least, that's what the advertisements said! The interior seating is not prototypical of the real car and does not really seat figures. HOWEVER, the model is modifiable to include doors which will allow two figures to sit inside. Also, the trunk opens to reveal a large luggage compartment. The car seen here is a heavily modified mash-up of sets 4728 and 71006, (Simpsons House, specifically the car) I used the same basic premise as the original Harry Potter set, but with the modern techniques and parts of the Simpsons pink car. I have the opening trunk and interior of the original set but I removed the opening doors on the premise of "it looks better and is much stronger". Now, I know this house isn't very accurate to the Movie / real location... It is more of a mash up of what the set was, and what could have been if it had been updated.
