Hey everybody! After my participation in the 80s challenge on LEGO IDEAS, I submitted ''Bob Ross: Studio & Paintings'' with changes as a product idea. We have nearly 5,000 votes in just over a month! I hope you like it and I will appreciate if you consider supporting it on the LEGO IDEAS website. Feel free to leave feedback or ask questions. :) Project link: https://ideas.lego.com/s/p:55877fc73d204a70855ca159c1a3d941 My creating is an art gallery with Bob Ross his studio from ‘’The Joy of Painting’’ and six famous paintings. You can arrange the art gallery walls by your choise, for example by folding it like a heart. The build is multifunctional, so there is the ability to detach paintings and display them as picture frames, or hang them on a real wall.

So my girlfriend and I (but mostly my girlfriend ) have this obsession with baby swans. We think they're just the cutest things ever! We used to go for walks specifically to see the local specimens and I believe we have hundreds of pictures of our beloved cygnets. We even have our own lingo to describe them: a baby swan is called a "swanling" and older specimens that still haven't left their parents are called "sweenagers". A swanling MOC was therefore inevitable. Inspired by the recent Lego Art sets, I went with a 2D approach mixing smooth SNOT for the main elements with a softer studs-up mosaic for the background in order to get a nice contrast. This was my first time doing such a mosaic, but I had a lot of fun with it, especially because I could take it nice and loose which was quite relaxing after solving an intricate SNOT puzzle for weeks. It really felt like painting with bricks! Speaking of painting, recently I've also been very inspired by painting techniques, so I tried to play with colors in the shadows and highlights of the swanling to give it some vibrancy. This was a lot of fun to play around with, but also posed an interesting challenge because bricks had to be oriented in specific direction in order to come to the right color gradients. [MOC] Cute little swanling by Bert Van Raemdonck, on Flickr In the end, I realized I was going in a Beatrix Potter direction, so I leaned into it and made the scene a little bit more whimsical by giving our cute little swanling a little caterpillar buddy to play around with. I also tried to emphasize the playfulness of the swanling by exaggerating the proportions and pose a bit. I'm especially happy with how the eye came out, as it really makes the swan feel playful and alive! Thanks, pirate bicorne piece ! For those interested, you can file the stud.io file here

For ages known as Zebra (a code name before release, similar to banana for Hidden Side), TLG officially announced today (July 1st) the new LEGO Art theme, starting with four sets: 31197 Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe 31198 The Beatles 31199 Marvel Studios Iron Man 31200 Star Wars Sith Each set makes one of 3-4 mosaics, with the Iron Man and Sith sets being combinable to form a mega picture from 3 sets. With one set you can make 1 Beatle, 1 Marilyn Monroe, etc. The prices for each set are US$120/€120/£115. These will be available from August 1st everywhere excluding US and Canada for The Beatles, Marilyn Monroe and the Sith. Iron Man is available universally on August 1st. For those thinking this has been mentioned before, it has, but not in its own deserved thread, and basically only names of sets + theme. There was never the deserved own thread, and no pictures, which is why I’m creating it now! I don’t know about everyone else but I’m hyped for these - though disappointed at the price... Discuss here.

Millennium Falcon Painting Hi guys, I am Lee from Hong Kong, and I have joined Eurobricks for a few years by now, but I have never posted in the Star Wars forum before, so I guess a little intro won't harm! I browse for cool LEGO MOCs around the world on a daily basis, and while I often enjoy seeing what others build, not many of the pieces would really impress me so much that I would remember for years, but the Spider-Mosaic by Thorsten Bonsch is definitely one of them (https://www.flickr.com/photos/xenomurphy/8313941921/)! Ever since then I have always wanted to try to make something similar, so as soon as I saw the TBB LEGO Millennium Falcon Contest said that we can present the MF in any style, I already knew what I have to do. The artwork is based on one done by MediaGraffitiStudio (https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/listing/59230392/star-wars-millennium-falcon-fan-art?show_sold_out_detail=1), with some personal touches for the colours based on what I had in mind. Hope you enjoy it!

Bardo is known for it annual music festival, and one of the constant reminders of the importance of music in this island town is the statue of the Pied Piper at the center of a small fountain near the center of town. Children and animals seem drawn to the statue. Some say the wind plays an alluring tune when it blows around the statue at just the right direction off the ocean. And local custom has turned the fountain into a wishing well. And it's not just children who throw coins in the well; couples also believe the fountain brings good luck. A view of the full build: ------------ A quick build to add a small art & culture property to Bardo. All C&C welcome.

In order to fight the impending darkness, the Protectors of Okoto harness the powers of space and time to bring forth mighty, fighting machines to their once peaceful island. Nilkuu claims the Stone-Type, naming him Pohatu. Pohatu is made from a strong, lightweight alloy that not only makes him fast, but also well protected against enemies and the harsh desert environment. He also wields two high-powered rifles that can fire great distances and reduce its targets to rubble. Thanks to these abilities, when paired with Pohatu, Nilkuu can come across as somewhat of a loner and over confident in his abilities. But he's not completely invincible. His weapons require a clean line of sight, which is often impeded during the night or in dark areas. No shading and no highly-detailed Nilkuu because I'm laaazzzyyy!

Hello! This time I'd like to share my latest project: a drawing machine that is inspired by Joe Freedman's Wooden Cycloid. The LEGO version uses freestanding boxes that can be moved around the turntable. A slight change in position creates a different pattern. Further adjustment is possible by placing the drawing arm onto the different pins on either drive box or changing the position and distance of the pen. Placing one end of the arms further from the center can create a pattern up to 20cm in diameter. The variation possible with this setup makes it almost impossible to repeat exactly the same pattern. Now since I'm a huge fan of psychedelic music and digital art, I wanted to make the video resemble some of the artwork we always see at the outdoor parties. Without giving too much away, I'll let you grab a drink, turn the volume up and enjoy the video! Full write up with more images here. Thanks, Mik

Did some 'baking' with my daughter. Inspired by the artistry of Kosbrick's Foodcember builds, I made this.

This colorful LEGO mosaic of mine was made in Jan. 2022. https://flic.kr/p/2mZhC7j https://flic.kr/p/2mZiVri Color Explosion by c.behrens, on Flickr It is made of 4 x 9 = 36 stk. 32 x 32 LEGO baseplates. It gives a total of 36.864 studs or 1 x 1 LEGO bricks. It measures 102 x 230 cm.I have used bricks and not plates. There is used a total of ca. 18 kg LEGO bricks included baseplates. It contains a total of 64 different colored LEGO bricks. It was my goal to get as many different LEGO colors in it as possible. The brand new 2022 color Neon Yellow is also in it. And also the color Light Nougat that is new in basic bricks is in it.It even contains a Metallic Silver brick in the middle and also a 1 x 1 brick in Pearl Gold rains as stardust over the artist name. In the middle there is a ring of "fire" that is made of the brick color Glow In Dark White. That way the picture attracts attention even in the night. The picture has the working title of Color Explosion, but I have 21 suggestion for new / better / other titles:1. Ring of Fire (Refers to the glow in the night)2. Color Explosion3. Life is in Colors4. Big Bang5. The Creation6. LEGO Colors7. LEGO Explosion8. Colors9. Color Circle10. Paletton11. RGB (RGB stands for the three primary colors red, green and blue)12. Color wheel13. Color art14. HOT15. Colored16. Orgasm17. Genesis18. Colorpalette19. Colorful20. 64 (Refers to the total number of colors)21. The picture with the many names. The picture hangs in my bedroom at the end of my bed. In that way I have a beautiful "sunrise" every morning and it reminds me of the creation of the world, the big bang, - or the beginning of a new and wonderful day. And it also reminds me that life comes in many colors and shades. There are sad gray days and those wonderful bright days where everything shines. Lifes ups and downs. In the evening when I go tired to bed it reminds my of, that it would be nice with a lovely colorful and explosive orgasm. So you understand that it is a nice colorful picture to have in my bedroom. What do you think of it? Do you have a good name for it? Or what name do you find the best? Please comment and post below! "Don Binney (1940 - 2012) needs little introduction to NZ art lovers so distinctive are his iconic paintings and drawings of birds and landforms. In a career spanning more than 40 years, his commitment to ornithology, environmental issues and spiritual connection with the land drove his art practice. His perspective on landforms was as distinctive as the symbolism of his stylised birds." - thediversiongallery.co.nz https://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/4824317/270k-painting-boosts-Christchurch-earthquake-relief I've been working on this LEGO MOC for a couple of weeks, based on one of my favourite kiwi artist's most recognisable paintings. Took a break from this build to make the Gordon Walters one a couple of days ago, while I waited for a couple of pieces to arrive via Bricklink. This MOC is made from 5 layers of bricks. I did buy a bunch of flexible pneumatic LEGO hose to do the curved black borders, but in the end abandoned that idea. The shadows due to the layers sort of create that effect. May revisit the tubing idea sometime in the future. More images on my flickr profile.

Hello everyone! There was an idea for draw one of the favorite minifigure. We choose classic 18th century portrait style for Captain RedBeard minifigure. Because it corresponds with its period of time. Portrait leads the traditional way of composition - 3/4 on the dark background with canonical pet - red parrot. We hope it will be interesting not only for lego fans but also for art admirers, like homage to traditional painting. And timelapse video of drawing process:

Two years passed since I've started to make this art. I like Warhammer Universe and fantasy, but real life leaves its mark on every aspects of our life. Hobby too. The region of Azov sea a tasty piece for the orcs. Unfortunately, after 86 days of siege the big industrial city fell. This art dedicated to all defanders of Mariupol and Azovstal plant. Fearless, and brave defenders against limitless hordes of invaders. I made a lot of test renders and sketches...

Escape: Return to Innocence and Tranquility Ink Painting is a very special form of traditional Chinese art. Usually it is in black and white only. Other colours would be a rarity. More than 95% of the bricks used in this MOC are 1x1, 1x2 trans-clear and trans-black bricks. Hello Creator and Disney fans, Mickey Mouse is a legendary American cartoon character co-created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. Steamboat Willie is a 1928 American animated short film directed by them. It was produced in black and white and this cartoon is considered the debut of both Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Building instructions are available on the following links: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-171558/_TLG_/mickey-mouse-steamboat-willie This is a studless model and everything is brick-built, stickers are not used. I wanted to create a clean model which is as accurate as possible in this scale. It includes many typical details: the shoes, the pants with buttons etc.. Maybe the most challenging one was the head with some tricky build techniques. Hello Creator and Disney fans, Mickey Mouse is a legendary American cartoon character co-created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. This LEGO Model is of a Scarlet Macaw currently being displayed at the Dallas Zoo in relations with the "Nature Connects" exhibit by Sean Kenney. This model will be on display until April 10th 2016. This model is just under 12 inches tall and features a "tree stand" for displaying. It was an interesting challenge to get the curves of the bird with correct proportions to the real bird, but all pieces are connected and it is quite sturdy. Thanks for looking! ~JU

As SvenF shared his awesome entires to the ReBrick Modular Contest, I thought I'd do the same! Remember, maximum is 16x16, yellow-faced minifigures only and must add to any of the existing modulars. Having said that, let's begin with.... Donatello's Art Studio: An old-style art studio, with all sorts of details and painings. Talking of which, there are three of them reminiscent of real ones: A map of Europe on the back wall, Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer and The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. Donatello is the blonde guy's nickname, honouring Donatello the Renaissance Italian painter, the other two bearded minifigs are the judges; they'll decide whether Donatello's work is worth an exhibition or it's just a mere copy of old work... . Would be located on the 1st floor of Pet Shop's brown building. Right now it is at 5th position of the most liked entries, with over 350 views! Jean's Bakery: A modern, sleek bakery, with a vintage touch! White bricks, chequered floor, palet tables are jst some of my favorite details in this one. Jean, as you can imagine, owns this bakery in the south of France, there would be a crêpe-o-maker, but there was no space availabe for that. What there was space for, though, was Jean's second favourite thing: music, and not any sort of music, but classical music. That's why he has the today unused machines there were to play it: a grampohone and a record player. Would be located on Assembly Square's blue building ground floor, instead of that rather boring café. Jean's Bakery is clocking 31 likes with only 300 views, and at 3rd position! Thanks for bearing with me and my long speech, leave comments if you liked it!

Hello everyone! Today I would like to present you my little project, M.N.C.S. (Metru Nui Chutes System). Each of us has heard about the chutes of the City of Legends. And I've always imagined how looks the real map of this fantastic "subway". Where are some lines and how to come, for example, from the school of Ga-Metru to your friend, if he works in the Great Archives in Onu-Metru? A small atmospheric picture. And now... This is a map of chutes. It looks like another subway maps. And I think, that the official picture can't present us the fullest scale of the legendary tubes. But now it is possible to travel the route in your imagination throught the City of Legends. It was made in Visio Pro and Photoshop. The bigger version you can find in spoiler. And there are a posters that can be hanging in Chutes Stations of MNCS. The bigger version you can find in spoiler. Again. That's all. And I'm so sorry for my English, because I'm from Russia( Enjoy!

With the recent concert tour of "A Head Full of Dreams", Coldplay's popularity has risen drastically, therefore why not create a project of a popular group. The set is a concert stage, so the builders will be able to use it for their own customs and other play features. This set will include 4 exclusive minifigures of the group: Chris Martin Jonny Buckland Guy Berryman Will Champion Additional features include: Upright Piano Electronic Keyboard Drum set 2 Guitars Amplifiers 4 Beat boxes (green, red, blue, black) microphone I invite you all to be a part of this project, support and make something incredible become true.

Looking for fellow LEGO top-makers here on Eurobricks. Very little posted on this building genre so far, but I'd very much like to change that. Special Themes seems to be the best fit. Over the last 2-3 years, I've designed and built at least 1,000 working tops and still have well over 700 in my collection. As you can see from my MOCpages top folder and the videos below, the visual and mechanical design possibilities with this simple kinetic art form are truly endless -- especially in the LEGO realm. Since tops are mostly about motion, I'll embed a few of my less conventional spintop videos as an introduction. No need to watch any of them all the way through. Yuri Fassio held annual top-making contests for several years on MOCpages, ending ca. 2012, but there was never much activity between contests, and all but a handful of the tops posted there in recent years have been mine. It'd be nice to have some company.
