This Classic Space ship was built for my brothers' fleet by me. The windscreen is not available (yet), but it does come on a 2017 not-yet-released Star Wars set. I believe I am the first to use that cockpit for a CS build. This ship features six guns and five crew members, with seats for each inside the easily accessible interior. The front of the ship should feature one of this print. The model has two smaller boosters and one (quite large) engine made of 20 smaller ones. The front canopy and the middle roof lift away individually to reach into the crew areas. Each of the five crew members has a seat. Behind this leaded glass resides the nuclear fusion reactor, the heart of the ship. The five brave crew members, one of which should be wearing this uniform instead as the ship's commander. This building is my most recent form of Benny's Spaceship Shop. It sells all things Space themed, with Benny making model rockets in the back and a large model space city in the front window. Benny also lives on the upper floor. I was inspired to build this model after seeing the dark red half-track / truck in set 60071, Hovercraft Arrest. The model looked easy to duplicate, but it proved difficult to create an exact copy. I then decided to take it in a another direction and create a generic American 1950's car, which eventually got turned into this version of Benny's Classic Space themed automobile. The model features a row of space-ship styled seats and "double" tail lights. (I used a trans-red grille to create a nice effect.) the white tile above the rear bumper is supposed to be Benny's license plate. Just a quick post to showcase a MOC I made earlier. The galactic adventurer, or galaxy explorer 2.0. It is based on the original classic space line from 1979, specifically the LL928 galaxy explorer. I wanted to have a beat up classic space ship that has seen a lot and is finally returning to the LEGO system to report it's finds. (I'm not sure where to put this model, as it's town, but based off a licensed set in a classic space color scheme!) This classic car was inspired by my previous car for Benny the 1980-something space guy, and partially by set 21108. (that's the Ghostbuster's Ecto 1) With the Ecto 1, I removed the front hood, shortened the car's length and width to make it about the same size my usual CITY-scale vehicles at a acceptable 24 studs long and 6 studs wide. I then added the front hood and grille work which was originally inspired by set 4728 (Escape from Privet Drive). The rear of the car features twin exhaust pipes, and a license plate that in all likelihood is a vanity plate saying "BENY84". (as 1984's the year our favorite blue Classic Space astronaut was introduced) (picture from Bricklink) Also, the 4x2 slope should feature the print above (link to Bricklink: http://alpha.brickli...63pb021#T=C&C=7 ) Anyway, the car looks like it could fit a figure, but it can't as of right now... It probably could work but would require substantial body work MODs that I frankly don't want to do right now. (sorry!) This is the beginning of a journey through the wormhole to a mini-figure called Benny and a civilization on the cusp of greatness. His continuing mission: to seek out new lifeforms, to explore unknown worlds, all in the name of of science and awesomeness. The year is 1980-something, the name of the theme is Classic Space. Classic Space fortress walls The base as it was ordered... will post a picture of the complete setup when built in real life. Here is the front gate of my space base to let the train (or road vehicles) through. It can safely open and close still using the HoG (Hand of God) method without impacting the flow of 9v current (still need to add those 9v tracks..) through the rails... though I wouldn't suggest driving through it with the door closed! This is one of twelve walls sections, held together with the other modules by four Technic pins.(two on each side) This is one of four of the corner modules. I redesigned these since last time to be less parts intensive and have fewer gaps in the wall. Astro Bot Recharge / Repair bay The inspiration behind this large robot-recharge port model is mainly inspired by the mech repair bay from 2006 set 7709. (Sentai Fortress) from Exo Force. I can attach the robot to a small mound behind each foot, where it holds it there by two studs per heel. The dark gray thin sidewall pieces located on three sides of the foot make sure Astro Bot 33 won't wiggle side-to-side and disengage from his charge port prematurely. The wall supports the mech repair bay and also gives me another two brand-new wall sections (in length) in for the base to play with at the same time! Classic Space HQ / Benny's skyscraper - 76038 MOD This building was inspired by my brother's take on set 6398, Central Precinct HQ. He added a back staircase module (which I have removed in favor of an older 2015 Avengers tower-inspired model / MOC I made a couple weeks back), while I removed the prison cell and changed the color scheme from white and black to blue and white with trans-yellow glass. The windows and doors were also modernized, and the large spinning sensor array added to the roof. I've also added connectors to the main base walls, which means the building is fully integrated into my Classic Space base. As previously stated, the rear was inspired by set 76038, Attack on Avengers Tower, from the Age of Ultron movie. This ultimately meant that the 1990's-style model's floors had to be stretched upwards by two bricks each in height to match the newer model's floor-plan. I really like the sleek wraparound window on the top floor of the building, as it is where personal Benny's office is. He gets to look out on the space base, and marvel at how things have changed since his creation in 1984. The right side wall opens up to reveal the inside of the building. Ground floor is official meeting space, second and third floors are for monitoring the radio telescope and other such devices across the galaxy. Fourth floor is the break room, while the fifth floor is Benny's personal office. (Note: On the outdoor patio on floor three is the monument to Jens Nygaard, the gone-but-not-forgotten creator of Classic Space.) The rear tower folds open for access too, and like the side wall, locks shut on a Technic pin. Here you can also see Benny's desk. Lunar Crater Crawler vehicle This model is based off 60192 (Arctic Ice Crawler) from the 2018 CITY Arctic theme, this MOD is called the Lunar Crater Crawler and moves boulders with it's larger gripping claw tool. It can seat one fully-suited astronaut figure. It also has printed controls in front of the space seat. Floodlights sit on the sides of the craft, allowing you to see on the dark side of the moon, while there is a clip for a handheld radio should you need to contact the command base. The rear should feature the Classic Space logo on a 4x2 slope, while a bumblebee stripe printed 1 x 2 tile goes above the logo. This printed pieces will be applied in real life once it's built. Lunar Armored Marauder hover-transporter The new set 75311 (Imperial Armored Marauder) has been transformed into a Classic Space version, complete with revised forward-facing side guns. All the hatches still open, but I couldn't use space seats inside this one, but there are plenty (four per vessel) of 2x2 modified tiles with just enough room for air-tanks in the model... at least I hope that will be the case! The rear of the Marauder. I just need to buy two copies of my digital file as shown, as that's at least $15 total cheaper than buying two sets and recoloring them after the fact. Any thoughts on this MOD? Classic 1950's Moonraker automobile Inspired by this recent @hachiroku build here, I have completed this new early 1950's car for Benny, who seems pretty happy with it. Looks pretty classy, right? The two doors open, but the obligatory black space seat is missing, because any more height and Benny would not fit inside. The rear has a license plate, the classic space logo, and two coverings partially obscuring the rear wheels. The roof is held on by four studs, and is as such removable. As a courtesy to the driver instead of the space seat, I have included a light bluish gray upholstery for the back of the seat. Classic 1980's Security Forces Jeep (x2) This model was heavily inspired by set 75916: Dilophosaurus Ambush from the first series of Jurassic World sets. I have turned that jeep into a Classic Space vehicle by subtracting most of the features and adding the CS logo to this piece on the trunk and a space seat for the driver. This CS version has a trans-yellow windscreen and a revised roll-cage. The rear of the vehicle has a spare tire, license plate and tail-pipe while the roll-cage folds back to allow for you to place the driver in the seat. Cosmic Explorer This is a heavily modified set 70816 (Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!) to features a new canopy from set 75176 (Resistance Transport pod) for the front windscreen, plus a rear turret that elevates and rotates in lieu of the radar dish and repair robots. To match the new canopy, the crew quarters were enlarged and opening roof remade, but the wings still fold out via the same Technic mechanism as in the original set 70816. More recently, I added a new nose to the ship inspired by DC comics set 76028. (Darkseid Invasion) The rear of the ship features the three main engines. The sensor array that was once near here was replaced by a four-barrel repeating laser turret that can rotate a full 360 degrees and elevate to 180 degrees, allowing for cover fire in almost any direction. The wings fold out if the center engine is pushed inwards, ready for the foam-tipped missiles to be engaged and aimed at any Blacktron III enemies... I did remove those yellow missiles, as they were too touchy and could fire accidentally. The main canopy has been heavily modified to allow for crew to go between the engineering and navigation sections without having to exit the ship. The Unikitty-seat area was replaced with a opening canopy for the engineering and fire-control crew to see outside from their stations near the Imagination Reactor. Deep Space Fighters These ships are deep space fighters of the Galaxy-class. Each seat one figure and have enhanced hyper-drive making it nearly as fast as LL-929. (Benny's spaceship) This ship was designed to be a heavily-armed fighter, and features an enclosed cockpit allowing for long distance travel such as from system to system if in an emergency. The rear of each of the two ship's features two engines made up of four smaller rockets. Here is the cockpit, which can seat 1 pilot figure per ship. Interstellar Frigate I really like this ship and have since I first saw it, I just had to wait for the instructions for set 75293 (Resistance IT-S Transport from Star Wars) to come out to make sure it could be built in real bricks with the changes I had in mind. (which were quite a lot!) I'm so glad I chose to do it in LDD first before just buying random bricks, as it required SO many modifications to the design (including an actual windscreen and extended cargo bay!) and changing other colors, that I would have been completely lost just swapping parts out at random. The eight engines are attached in a completely different way to the set design, as 2 x 4 bricks with three Technic holes going straight down don't exist in LDD. This new design was the only suitable way to get them to work on the ship in a very tight space. Also, I added double raised fins to the rear of the ship, for that extra retro '80's space flair. The cargo bay is quite spacious for troops or freight as it has been elongated by four studs from the set's original length. (You can see it is loaded with five yellow space-crates above) The roof of the cargo bay comes off, while the landing ramps fold up / down for loading or unloading of cargo / security personnel. The front of the ship has a space seat for a single pilot with two large laser forward-facing cannons. The pilot's cabin also features actual controls and a real front windscreen. (unlike the stickers and tiles in the original set!) The cockpit roof folds away, just as it did in the original set, which you can partially see here. K8-E the robot dog - Benny's best friend After meeting the Doctor (Who?) and his K-9 (pronounced Canine) unit, Benny decided he wanted a pet. So he bought himself a retired space police bot named K8-E (it's pronounced Katy) who helps Benny with his maintaining his SPACESHIP! and home base of the fleet. The two robot dogs eventually teamed up to sabotage a Blacktron and Dalek peace treaty from being signed, thus keeping the Universe safe from their plans for conquest for the moment. K8-E even took a laser shot from the Blacktron secondary leader, saving K-9 from being killed in the midst of them leaving the self-destructing Dalek ship. When reunited with Benny and the Doctor a short while later, the robot dog was fixed up and given the nod of approval from the Doctor, and a happy farewell from K-9, who left with the Doctor in the TARDIS to go to parts unknown looking for the Daleks fleeing from their loss at the hands of K8-E & K-9. From then on, K8-E has been keeping Benny company while awaiting the return of K-9 and the Doctor. K8-E is actually modified from set 8399 (K-9 Bot), which is a 2009 Space Police III set. Astro-Bot 33 - Classic Space's Giant Robot You may ask yourself: "Why would the Classic Space fleet want a giant robot?" The answer is a simple one: "Who in their right mind wouldn't want a giant freaking robot!?!?!" This Classic Space version of Build Better Bricks' Iron Giant with the head of the previous @hachiroku version of the model's head added on. (consider it a mashup of the two Iron Giant models!) I made it into CS colors (black, light / dark grays and blue) with red and green light parts, and two yellow / black bumblebee stripe tiles. The rear of the robot. The 4 x 2 slopes on the arms are supposed to have this print. The mouth now can open to allow for posing... but unfortunately, it doesn't play nice with the shoulders, so the mouth must remain closed until I can figure out a better solution. Another thing that didn't work well was the rotating waist: it operated too jerkily and was hard to operate, so I removed that feature. Conveyex Crawler-Transporter This is a heavily modified Classic Space version of 2018 Star Wars set 75217 (Imperial Conveyex Transport). It's length has been doubled and the visible weapons have been removed, to make more room for passengers. Behind the trans-yellow glass of the former cargo-cars are seats, so that workers can get to Benny's space base without driving in themselves. (Call it a commuter light-railroad system, without the "rail" part!) The vehicle can be shortened or lengthened in modular sections depending on the needs of the specific mission, but in this particular case it has two crawler engine units, and two cargo hauler segments that can easily detach for maintenance or to drop more segments in / out. On each of the engine units is the dual drivers compartments, located on either side of the tread behind the square openings. Each car seat four figures, meaning the whole train hauls eight people (+ their air-tanks!). ....and yes, two of the handles on the doors are upside-down in all the pictures. Classic Space figures These are all my Classic Space figures. The thirteen green figures are the soldiers of the group, while while the six red suited people are scientists. The three blue figures are Benny (in helmet), Penelope (with pigtails), and Unikitty who are the officers of the group. The two other figures, (the red android and the robo-dog) are T-3PO, who serves as the translator to other species and computer systems, while the robo-dog is K8-E who happens to be Benny's personal pet / security guard. The astronauts you see here are the famous "Lost Six". These half-dozen brave souls were with Benny in 1988 when the space station they were on was ambushed by Blacktron I forces and blasted into a black hole. Benny managed to escape the station before it entered the gravity field, but only just in the nick of time. (He could not reach his ship mates due to a computer error with the hatch systems.) Benny's suit was damaged in the escape, and he still wears it like that to this day as a reminder of his failure to get his crew off in time. This is the last picture of the Lost Six, with Benny out of frame because he took the picture. (He was supposed to be in the picture, but he forgot to set the timer on that take.) Will we ever see these brave men and women again? Only time will tell! Meet AstroKitty (in blue) and PuppyNaut (in white)! I've had AstroKitty built like this since 2014 when I got Benny's Spaceship (x3) from the original LEGO Movie line. I had to find a novel solution to the head-falling-off problem. (double the body width and pretend it's a bigger spacesuit) I was very sad to see Lego never released a blue one of the upside-down 1 x 3 tile parts with hole used in the newer Unikitty! sets seen around 2018 to correct this error. I did, however, note the new arrival of Puppycorn, Unikitty's energetic younger brother from the TV show and was disappointed to see he never had a Classic Space variant, besides the "Alien" version. (which I don't count as actually being Puppycorn.) So, in short, I made one from his Dalmatian costume, made to be double wide like AstroKitty. Sadly, there is no Classic Space logo on Puppynaut, as there is on Astrokitty. (This drives my OCD nuts!) ...oh, and they have headlamps on both their helmets, to provide light in dark environments and a convenient hole for the unicorn horn to fit into. I have used what was left of the word astronaut as originally worded by LEGO, as in ASTRO goes with KITTY; so thus PUPPY gets hitched to NAUT. Thus, we get PUPPYNAUT to describe him. Hi all, Thought I'd share my "Nexo Space" scene. I built it a couple of months ago for New Elementary's ongoing "Nexogon" parts festival. True or not, I'd read news that the 'Lego Movie Sequel' was going to be set in space... I surmised that this would therefore be Benny's Space, Classic Space the joyous 'space' of my childhood. The Hab/Lab/Base was a structure I'd adapted from a set of spaceships I'd built as my first submission. I was way too late for Febrovery, but what kind of space scene would it be without a rover of some sort? ...and then there was the question of Benny. He'd need a spaceship! I really do hope that 'The Lego Movie Sequel' is going to be set in Benny's Space, and that the sets include more Classic Space inspired designs for vehicles... new printed classic space logos and trans yellow windscreens please! Also, New Spacemen minifigures in other colours!

Hi all, I’ve just completed the 6th vehicle in my fleet of Neo Classic Space inspired attack craft. This is the story behind it: The fastest land vehicle in the fleet, the DR4G-5T3R can not only outrun anything unfortunate enough to be in its sights, but thanks to its rear swivel-ball tech, it can do so regardless of the terrain. Space! Ongoing dark abyss and home to an endless Number of worlds! For decades, Mankind has ventured into the unknown and build settlements, space stations and terraformed planets.And you know what these all have in common? Dirty landing pads. Spaceships collect a lot of dust and dirt while flying through space, and much of it lands on landing pads like the crumbs on a keyboard when you eat chips. Now who do you think cleans this mess up? Well, if you still live at your parents place, probably your mum.As for our adventurous fellows in space, it´s the job of the maintenance crew to clean the landing pads. Luckily they now have a powerful new tool to aid in their important bud mediocre paid job. Hitch the vacuum cleaner trailer to your lunar buggy and follow the trail of space dust. Here is my video review on 70848 Systar Party Crew: THE GOOD: Stardust Benny! Can't believe they actually made it. Unikitty boa scarf, seriously I now wonder why the left out the cape for the wedding ver. Batman. Printed keyboard tiles! THE NOT SO GOOD: The speaker is a bit lame especially given just one. For people in Australia and NZ, this is pretty hard to get. This is actually a great character pack! Stardust benny itself worth the money! And this set is actually good value. On top of that you also get 2 printed keyboard tiles! Unikitty boa scarf is great too, it's unbelievably soft! (LEGO, please give us the cape for the wedding Batman!) . I actually like the dance floor too. Other accessories are kinda miss but parts are always useful. Recommend this to everyone!

Hi. Earlier last year I was in the middle of another MOC project and it proved to be more involved and difficult than I initially thought. So I took a break from it... and I started playing around with some LBG parts around a train motor and ended up building a Neo Classic Space Train (Spacetrain SPACETRAIN!). Because why not. It does run! There is enough clearance between the pentagonal tiles and the wheel bases for it to turn around standard Lego track radii. I've run it at public shows, although it is quite heavy and only has one motor in it for now, so its top speed is a bit limited. I might add another motor at some point to speed it up, but I've been busy on other MOCs instead! Larger resolution photos are on flickr. Hope you enjoy it! Hello everyone. It has been a while since my last review. Now that I have my hands on this colourful spacemen set, I gave a little bit of my time to make this review. This is a quick one, if you have any question, just ask in the comment area and I'll try my best to take a photo and answer your question. Enjoy! These are all the space guys I have in my stash now. Not all are included in this set. Introduction There are lots of colours of spacemen since the classic space. I think after getting this set, I only need red and black to complete the whole spacemen collection (correct me if I'm wrong). So what are you waiting for? This is really a worthy set to grab! Overview Name: 70841 Benny's Space SquadYear: 2018Pieces: 68Minifigures: 4 plus a droidPrice: RM49 / £12.99 The Box Very nice purplish blue starter pack sized box. Now you know the names of the spacemen at the back of the box. The content of the box. Two bags without number. The parts in the bags. All other spacemen got classic faces. Only Benny has two facial expressions. Benny's alternate surprised face. He is the only one faded throughout the years. Accessories. The builds are simple and easy spaceship and space cart. The droid feels like Star Wars. The slope is printed. Tony: Great. Now the Infinity Stones can speak. Summary review Playability: 5/10 Not really playable but the colours are great for photos! Design: 9/10 I love the colours! Price: 10/10 Very worthy space starter pack! Overall: 9/10 This is a good set for minifigures. Hello fellow EB'rs, I'm a huge fan of both Classic Space and TLM, as well as a nut for screen-accurate props. The Lego Movie of course makes building props from the film even more exciting. Anyway... a lot of the sets in the film are scaled up (especially the Sea Cow), however Benny's spaceship is pretty much identical in the film and in the produced set - though there are a few slight differences: Here is the ship as it appears in the film: Benny's Spaceship: TLM version by cinderbike, on Flickr And here's my copy, after assembly and staged about the same: Benny's Spaceship - Production version by cinderbike, on Flickr Benny hasn't quite built the hoses yet, but as you can see the 2 big differences I noticed were the construction of UniKitty's pod and the position of the front-most wing tips. Converting the set to appear as it does in the movie as actually pretty easy. In the film Unikitty's pod lacks the missile launcher, and instead uses 1x1 round trans-red pieces (they might actually be diamonds or another piece, but it's hard to tell with the glow) and a few odds and ends in lieu of the launcher pieces. Secondly, the apparatus that holds her in is more simplified in the production set. In the set, the droid torso more of less just holds her down by the tail, whereas in the film a 1x1 clip and a couple of battle droid arms are used in addition to actual lock down onto the stud between her tail and head. All of these parts are fairly easy to find, here is my tweaked version (I need to BrickLink some droid arms in light bley, but you get the idea): Hope this helps anyone else wondering how close to the film our ships are!

I realize some people managed to get their hands on Benny's Spaceship (SPACESHIP) a month or two back from overseas but here in the USA official release was just a couple days ago. Mine came in the mail today, haven't started it yet, not exactly sure when I will- I just like looking at the box right now. Can anyone tell me if Benny's helmet comes pre-cracked? I ask because in all the box artwork it is cracked EXCEPT one place in the corner that seems to be an image of all the mini-figures included where it is not cracked. I've been going through my large collection of legos that had been lost and found in a garbage can sitting for 10+ years at my Aunt's house, requiring extensive cleaning and I just found my first original Benny-style space helmet yesterday, albeit in yellow... and it is cracked in the very same spot. I guess it was one of the reasons that style needed the re-design.

I've been working on these a while, waiting for Benny's SPACESHIP to be released. Now that I have Benny's ship, I can start building the rest of his fleet, which should include 2 fighters, 1 freighter, 1 escort cruiser, 1 Command Cruiser, 1 hover car, plus the space station. (Unikitty turned down Benny's offer for a commission to Classic Space command, and has set out as a director actor in Movies & TV. This ship in it's original form (plus it's pilot Benny and his friends) are featured in The LEGO Movie. Background: The famous Benny the 1980-something space guy is investigating a mysterious signal coming from a region of space beyond our galaxy cluster. The radio signal was accidentally picked up by a satellite listening for possible Blacktron communiques. It is a 16 billion year old signal, which means it is older than the universe itself! Benny will have to find a way to get to the signal emitter, and he may just have a way: a certain blue box and it's owner! The company that made them first almost gave up until it sold one to then-unknown blue 1980's spaceman named Benny. Benny then used this car to shuttle himself to his work and secret master builder meetings, and eventually to his SPACESHIP(!)'s hanger after the end of Octan Corporation hostilities. The ship was not featured in the film made about those events, but nonetheless was seen in the studio parking lot as Benny drove it to play himself in the movie. It currently is stationed on the planet Zonia, where Benny (along with all the other Classic Spacemen) lives. Epsilon II space base The legendary 1970-something space guy, (also known as George) opened the Epsilon II Base in 1986, just in time for the Great Divide of 1987. (also known as the formation of the Blacktron) They made their base on the nearby ice world of Imperium and threatened to invade Epsilon II. The classic base was put on lock-down as George waited to receive an order of heavily armored and armed Exo-suits. (However that ship was intercepted by an unknown force and crashed on a world in a far-off uncharted sector of the galaxy.) George's situation back on Epsilon II soon became desperate as the supposed time of arrival for the Exo-suits came and went. Blacktron soon surrounded the world, drawing ever closer to the lone outpost and it's large fuel dump. By 1991 however, the Space Police had been formed and routed the nearby Blacktron stronghold of Imperium. The remaining siege fleet of Blacktron ships fled to the Galactic Deep Core to lick their wounds. The first Classic Space ship that landed on Epsilon in four years was commanded by a young Benny, who was sent to relieve the original commander George as he was retiring to a small lunar outpost. Benny has since been given fame in the LEGO Movie and the honorary title of 1980-something space guy. The base has been updated to feature two smaller landing pads and one large one for Benny's spaceship. Hey guys! What's up?! I'm a new member (Hello everyone!) and was wanting to get some help going through some old Legos from my childhood/my uncles childhood that I just got from my parents recently. Like most, I actually hadn't thought of a Lego in years, and finally got out the totes that I had in my house that housed about 1/3 of my old sets from childhood (I had mostly space (pretty much every set from 1987-1994 excluding 6987, 6990, but all the SP1/2, BK1/2, Mtron, Ice P, and Spyrius) and some castle/pirates), anyhoo, there was also a huge amount of bags from my grandmas house that I guess I assumed were just "old boring legos" and was gonna stuff them away again, but I looked at some parts sorted out a handful of what I figured were unique parts and made an "Urainium search vehicle" using bricklink inv list and online instructions. As a kid I always thought that the "old space" was boring, but now that I made one its actually kind of cool, and most importantly my two sons love legos and I like building things for them! Anyways, there are POUNDS of old space stuff including at least a Beta 1 command base (6970....found this out based on the one off part 3754pb01), 6971 IG command base (have big pile of blue windows and a few solid blue 4228 parts), robot command ctr (couple solid blue "rocket" pieces and a handful of solid blue canopies), couple fx star patrollers, gamma V laser craft, another Uranium search vehicle, and prob at least 10 more sets (theres a couple 924 and other numbered bricks in there too). Sooooo, here's where I need your expert advice! I'm obviously on the right track using bricklink, etc. but, is there a way to know what "generic" (ie 1x4, etc) brick was from what time period? (ie: look at the mold numbers from the lot it was created on?) I figure if I'm going through all this trouble I might as well try to get it as close to original as possible, esp because these sets are a pretty big deal I guess! ( just bought my son a 6990 since I didn't have one as a kid and figured that would be expensive, but had no idea that these old space bases were worth so much, which makes me want to keep them and pass it on to my children/grandchildren!). Also, any other suggestions would be great too (ie general research/building and if there is a way to ask for older pieces when ordering off bricklink.com, etc in case I need to get a couple bits to finish out a set??). I started building this last summer, but never was able to take pictures of it. When I finally did, I revealed it on AFOLs of Facebook to much fanfare, but I thought I would share it here as well. First picture is an angle shot. It is a modified 9493. I extended the nose, modified cockpit and engines. But I used that set as a starting point, then changed things as it came along. It was a big hit at the few local LEGO shows I've taken it to. I have since built a 48x48 landing pad similar to the 928 landing pad, but no pictures taken yet. I have also built a classic space Y-Wing and currently working on another station/landing area for an A-Wing. Anyway, let me know what you think. Plus, any critiques. I'm new to classic space inspired builds. I don't have a lot of these colors, so it is all new purchases for me, so I don't always have the greebling needed. I have given thought to going back and smoothing out the wings better and exposing less studs.

Hi, denizens of the Sci-Fi forum! Despite being like 30 years too young, Classic Space is definitely one of my favourite themes. I don't want to just pick up the old stuff, though (that'd definitely get expensive) - I want the experience of making my own MOCs and set mods to fit within the ecosystem. To that end, I've finally managed to take a bunch of pictures to show off my stuff. What helped kickstart this stuff was the sheer cheapness and easy availability of 70841-1 Benny's Space Squad, of which I am barely restraining myself from getting multiple copies of. From there, it was an easy leap to 70821-1 Emmett and Benny's Build & Fix Workshop and its Space Cruiser build. I did end up picking the Ideas Exo Suit, but had a few issues with it - it was way too neoclassic for me. I can understand that greebles are of interest to some people, but that level of overdetail is not for me. To that, end, I decided to make my own, classic-style Exo Suit. From there, the rest of this spiralled outwards and upwards to greater and greater heights. Utilising the Mixels ball joint system, my classic-ised Exo Suit is remarkably stable and sturdy, and I think I managed to approximate the studs-exposed, detail-less style of the original sets quite well without having any vintage design to base it on, whilst maintaining some visual continuity with the bulky, large-armed shape of Peter Reid's design. In homage to the original Exo Suit, I think this pilot's name is Yvenny. (Sorry, Pete - your name can't be enny-ised while remaining recognisable!) I've lifted her helmet up a little bit to try and make it look like the classic helmet without having a green version of that part available. Maybe eventually... The Traffic Control building on the right, however, is both more and less original at the same time. While I built it entirely out of parts I had on-hand without adhering to any instructions, the design has ended up quite similar to the space shed packed in with the original Galaxy Explorer. I would have liked to include a Classic Space logo print part, but the dang Benny BrickHeadz is way too expensive now. Oh well... Just a little showing off on how good those ball joint parts on the Exo Suit are. It can hold the space cruiser from 70821-1 Emmett and Benny's Build & Fix Workshop above its head without any external support! (It looks like the antenna on its back is providing some of the support, but I promise you that no weight is on it and it's just a clearance thing!) Benny, of course, is mortified. "Don't drop Jenny and my sibling!" he cries out. Yvenny's doing too good a job to care, though. This goliath is definitely the centerpiece of my collection. I really liked 70816-1 Benny's Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP!, but had some qualms with the more ostentatious elements of the design like the flickfire winglets, the rounded nosecone, the Technic missile housings and the excessive greebling across the board. I've made a few customisations to help make it fit in with a simpler-looking crowd! One of my chief missions with the simplification of this thing was to reduce its reliance on Dark Bluish Grey/Dark Stone Grey parts, since that was a big distractor. While I haven't been able to find replacement parts for the underside or the big octagonal plate, things are a LOT cleaner now and I'm much happier for it. You'll also notice I didn't apply any stickers. (Well, that's not quite true - I did apply the computer screen stickers and reactor core stickers on the inside, but I don't have a consistent enough lighting setup to get good shots where they'd be visible.) The way I see it, adding stickers just means a way I can mess this up. I don't have the steadiest hands, and this thing is way too good for that kind of treatment. I named this the "Galaxy Spearhead" in homage to both the Galactic Spearhead and the Galaxy Explorer, two LEGO builds I'm not likely to ever have my own versions of. As much as I like LEGO, it would be irresponsible to have it take over my budget like that... Hello! First off, thanks for this contest, the idea is just perfect! Being a 1980 something space guy myself, Benny of course is my favorite character in the movie... Spaceship! I like what they did with 70831 Emmet's Dream House Rescue Rocket! so I went for something similar. I chose set 60222, snow groomer as a base, because it has nice technic parts (those caterpillars definitely are spaceship material! ), old school colors, and even a canon! So there was this snow groomer, just lying around... Then my 1980 space guy came along... And built himself a nice Space Groomer ! He kept the original cabin, since it was cosy and already had featured cupholders. However, he took the time to seal the cockpit; it's cold up there... The fearsome front facing space snow canon. Those thrusters definitely should pack enough boost. Having enough room for the jetpack is a must have on a decent spaceship. For Intergalactical Spacecraft Identification purposes, top, bottom and gear up/down views: And there we are; a bennific spaceship based on a snow groomer. I tried to use as many parts as I could from the original set and not add too many. The model is tough and can be grabbed carelessly by the thrusters, cabin or landing pod. The canon is operated by the 2x2 round black brick visible above, which lands on the fingertips when holding the spaceship by the thrusters. The landing pod's movement is stopped in the position where the model is perfectly balanced so it is quite reliable. But weird. Which is fun! The spaceship features variable sweep wing, ejecting canopy and heated cupholders. Backstory: It was winter, my Benny was on holidays in the mountains when he was called on mission and had to build a spaceship urgently. Looking around, he saw this Snow Groomer and immediately spotted the Technic parts, in particular the beams. A spaceship needs the best technology available to be big, light and sturdy, Benny knows it. He's been using Technic beams for a long time now.. When he took the snow groomer apart, he stumbled across this part: ...which reminded him a lot of that one: And of the biggest and most awesome Classic Space set he ever had, 6985 (he's the one taking the photo below): Then it struck him: since he could not work with his favourite white/blue/grey/transparent yellow palette, he was going to include references to that glorious ancestor in his new build. In addition to the compulsory pair of big thrusters and some antennas in the typical Classic Space style, he chose to use that bracket to create a similar side line: He doubled the roof piece in an attempt to mock-up the original double canopy looks: Of course, the front laser canon and the forward facing cones had to be evoked too: And a pair of winglets on both sides of the cockpit: Of course, pipes had to be added too. A spaceship needs pipes: In the back, a pair of stabilisers and integrated transparent red bricks: And finally, a couple more fins on the back seemed absolutely necessary (as long as a discreet touch of blue): With all that tribute to his favourite Classic Space model, my Benny was happy to fly his Space Groomer into new adventures! These next Twenty-plus models are all built in the style of CREATOR set 31206, (Bike Shop & Cafe) with each having either removable floors or open on a hinge and snap closed with a Technic Pin. Pizzeria Inspired by the B model from set 31026, (Bike Shop & Cafe) this building was originally going to be hotel but turned into a pizza parlor with an outside staircase and delivery van. This model features seven seats spread out over two floors. It also features a pizza oven and counter with cash register. There is also as ladder to the roof with access hatch. This van is a modified version of what is in set 79104 (The Shellraiser Street Street Chase). It features two rear doors and two side doors, plus the roof sign with pizza. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1407259993m.lxf Modern bank This is an update to my previous version of this bank. It features Light Bluish Gray instead of Dark Blue to keep costs down. I have also added a armored vehicle. The rear contains stairs to the upper level, and a expanded Vault on the second story. Also, the skylight has been moved to the rear roof and it does not open anymore. The front contains nearly the same components as the original set. The first floor has a non-break-away ATM , desk, waiting area, and sorting tray for packages, while the second story contains the entrance to the bank vault. This modified Armored Truck goes with the Modern Bank. LDD file: (to be added) Benny's Spaceship Shop! (In his spare time Benny operates a store selling custom LEGO space kits. He also lives in the shop on the second floor.) This was originally was the Pizza shop in set 7641, City Corner. (re-released as set 60031 last year) I added a back based on the Bicycle shop from set 31026, and put in a hinge system with a Technic pin to lock it closed. I then colored it blue instead of the original red and made it into Benny's shop with all it classical space goodness. Benny's shop features a micro spaceship in the display window, rear delivery door, and cash register. On the second floor is the apartment Benny lives in. It features a bed, side-table, computer, micro space layout, and ladders to the first and third floors. The third floors attic is empty but it usually features boxes of miscellaneous stuff. Here is Benny's car. It is supposed to feature the Classic Space Logo on the trunk (via this part: http://www.bricklink...26326&colorID=7 ) Benny's car was made back in 1984 by Universal Motors Corporation. Since 1997, the second gear shift has been jammed, thus rendering the car flightless. It has been redesigned to have a interior staircase and still have plenty of room for serving drinks and simple food. There is supposed to be a sign out front with this print: http://www.bricklink...asp?P=2335pb075 The inside of the model features a Frog on the bar (for no real reason), a inside staircase, and a bunch of seating on the second floor. Their is a crude gumball machine on the second floor at the top of the stairs. This is the delivery van for the Captain's Daughter Tavern, getting beer and other assorted alcohol from the brewery. It was originally the blacksmith's which works fine in a Castle setting, but this building is supposed to be from the late 1920's! So I removed the blacksmiths and added a proper lower floor with a connecting staircase to the upper floor. This building's lower floor has a couch and table with lamp on top. On the second floor is my bed and a pot belly stove which warms the house up very nicely. I have a soft spot for this car, as it is the last remaining model I have built from my early Lego career / 2002. I've modified it a lot, but it basically went from medium blue to black, opening doors to no doors, and opening trunk to no trunk and back to opening trunk, all in the space of 12 years of evolving part design. (The original model was the Ford Anglia from the 2002 Harry Potter "Escape from Privet Drive" set.) LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1407344930m.lxf Octan Gas Station I built this OCTAN Gas Station from a Starter Model in LDD back in 2011, and have wanted to build it ever since. It features a sign and Tanker truck inspired by 10184 (Town Plan). By the way: The sign features two of this part (print not in LDD): http://www.bricklink...m.asp?P=2431px9 Instead of being in the 1950's, I set this station to have been built in the early '60's to mid '70's. The roof for the station is removable, and the bay fits most 16 stud long cars. (but just barley) Any official LEGO City car should fit fine. This truck was based off of the 2008 Town Plan set's tanker. It features a more American-style hood and grille, plus four tank lids instead of the original three. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1407774834m.lxf Bob's Adventure Supplies Built in 1898, this stone building was a small mining supply store, selling shovels and pickaxes to the miners from the local quarry and construction workers. In 1969, after 70+ years of business, the store was sold to a re-development firm for demolition. Thankfully, the building was saved through the actions of a local historic preservation group, who then bought the building to be used a a historical documents library. That library was moved to the Town Hall in 1998, and the building was sold to Bob with one condition: to never tear it down or disturb its historic status. Bob then turned the building back to it's roots with the opening of his Adventure Supplies shop which is still there to this day. NOTES: This is a modified version of Olivander's Wand Shop from 2011 set 10217 Diagon Alley with a back and staircase added, plus the expensive sand green and dark blue have been replaced. Also, this building is ONLY open-able up to 90 degrees. The whole 180 is impossible due to the way the original Olivanders Wand Shop was designed... sorry! The inside features tons of bits of gear, weapons, & devices for adventuring in any place (or time). This includes swords and a large mace to spacesuits and laser pistols. Bob's 1978 Nexus. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1410447014m.lxf Backwash Saloon I turned Colby City Showdown (set 79109) into a proper building for my town. It features removable floors to access the interior along with plenty of details. Also, this saloon is named after / supposed to include the Lego Movie mini-figures Sudds Backwash & Root Beer Belle. (NOTE: I have this building in real life now, plus the new "neon" sign. The old sign that was centered above the corner doesn't work in real life. I don't know why LDD allowed it in the first place, as it's an illegal build. The LDD file has been updated to reflect these changes.) This floor features: bar, four tables, several drinks containers, and a printed cash register. This part ( http://www.bricklink...asp?P=3039pb026 ) is supposed to be the register, but it is not in Lego Digital Designer. The second floor features three more tables for those really busy days, plus the piano. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1422741868m.lxf 1950's Fire Station Here we see my MOD of the Brick City Depot (Winter Village) Fire station. I redid the color scheme in some places & added a different Fire Engine. (which happens to be a MOD of set 9484, Red's Water Rescue) I redid the vehicle door connections and put pillars in the corners of the building. I also completely remodeled the roof, adding a water tower instead of the original bell tower. I want to add an old-school air raid siren, like the ones from the Cold War. The problem is I have no idea how to make one. If anyone has any ideas on that, please comment! The inside features a pole to slide on, a equipment locker, and just enough space for the 1950's fire truck. I built this from set 9484, Red's Water Rescue. I replaced the eyes with trans-black tiles and cheese slopes, while adding a grille where the mouth was. I also beef up the rear, and removed the flick-fire missiles. 1950's V8 Gas Station This model was originally built in 2012. It was inspired by the 2011 CARS set 8487, (Flo's V8 Cafe) but made larger and without the launcher and car wash. Yesterday I re-discovered the model and enlarged the bays from six to eight wide, added a rear to the building for the gas station attendant, and redid the curved roof covering the 8 gas pumps. The inside features a clock, four-flavor soda fountain, and the attendant's desk. Their is also a storage area under the soda fountain. Old Stone Bank I took set the Bank from the 2011 Harry Potter LEGO set Diagon Alley (number 10217) and gave it a make over into a more City-like set. First I straightened the columns out, and added a more protected Bank teller area. The vault was shortened width-wise by 1 stud, making it 3 studs thick. (plus the door, of course) The sign out front feature the two stickers from the 2014 Getaway Glider LEGO Movie set (number 70800). One says "BA" while the other says "NK". (Here is the complete sticker sheet: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=70800stk01 ) Here you can see the redone teller area, smaller bank vault. It was taken from set 76105, Doc Ock's truck Heist and modified to follow Eurotrash48903's example of the same type. I was not doing much when I stumbled upon set 7633 (2009's Construction Site, link: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7633-1 ) and was hit with the idea of making that CITY building front into a Creator-style full building with an opening back. I struggled with the design until i saw some Friends - themed instructions by a blogger named Kristel. (link to her awesome blog: http://modularsbykristel.com/ ) Her "Joanna’s Place" instructions inspired the roof design and the middle floors' windows. Then I combined all that with the HOTEL sign from the 2007 Cafe Corner modular building. (link: http://www.bricklink...m.asp?S=10182-1 ) I threw together the interior, (If you can call three beds and a front desk "interior"!) at the last minute. As I said before, I am no interior designer. The beds were copied from Medieval Market Village (set 10193, link: http://www.bricklink...m.asp?S=10193-1 ) and the desk was a table scrap. LDD file for the Hotel: http://www.mocpages....1415988835m.lxf Barber Shop This Barber Shop was partially inspired by set 7641, (City Corner, link to BrickLlink: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7641-1 ) and it's bike shop and partially by the works of Kristel, whose Instructions from her blog led me to this roof design. Anyway, the building has a sign out front that is supposed to say "BARBER SHOP", in printed letters. Underneath that is a barber pole and two haircut styles on display in the front window. The first floor features two display heads with vintage hair styles, some chairs for waiting customers, and a cash register. On the second floor is two swivel chairs that also can recline (these chairs were copied from the ones in the Detective's Office modular building) and some bottles of hair care products. I added a rear to the building in a style like set 31026, Bike Shop & Cafe. The building also takes cues from Scotnick and his modular take on the Town plan set. The upper floor features the mayors office with filing cabinets while the lower floor features the secretary’s desk. The LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1423179603m.lxf Haunted House This build was based on LEGO set 4756 (called Shrieking Shack ) from the 2004 Harry Potter / Prisoner of Azkaban movie line. My revamped version of the set features a hinge system to allow access to the interior while preserving the sense that it is a complete building. The house also has a interior and a secret exit through the fireplace. The house features a secret exit through the fireplace and boarded up windows. There are 10 of those 1x6 tan tiles in this build, and all of them are missing a specific rare wooden board print. (see it here: http://www.bricklink...m.asp?P=6636px1 ) The lower floor features a phonograph and two chairs, plus the secret fireplace escape route. The second floor features a rotten bed frame. LDD file for the haunted house: http://www.mocpages....1423180399m.lxf Johnny Thunder's office Inspired by the Bank building in set 6484, (Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase) this building features two floors and a "cast iron" facade. The bottom floor features Johnny's office with telephone, hat rack, bottle of root beer, and desk made from crates, while the top floor features the Trophy Room with these items: a Sword made in India out of ivory, a ancient Roman Shield from Italy, a golden Ring of Power from a dark land far away, a silver glove of an Aztec suit of armor, the Spear of Destiny from Jerusalem, a Trident from Atlantis, and a scythe from the Land of the Dead. The Treasure Chaser is based off of set 7622, Race for the Stolen Treasure. (2008's Indiana Jones theme) This is a better version of the Treasure Raider that I made a couple months back. This vehicle features a spare tire, head & tail lights, plus a good old adventurer favorite: the classic two seat piece from way back in 1998 and last in 2013. LDD file for office plus car: http://www.mocpages....1423430126m.lxf Sinister Mansion - Revisited This classic 90's LEGO-styled model was originally built in 2007 by a Brickshelf user named "Widdi". That user uploaded the instructions (seen here:http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=249223 ) which I stumbled upon and built / modified in Lego Digital Designer. I added another story for the tower, put furniture inside and worked a garage into the structure. More recently, I have redone the tower and removed some of the windows. The inside features the furniture from my Haunted House (10228) MOD, including (but not limited to): a Queen size bed, stove, table, phonograph, sidetable with lamp plus the couch. The first floor I has the living / dining rooms, as the couch, stove and table and other associated items are there. The second floor features the master bedroom with a small balcony on the right side. The third floor is the attic, which is empty. The tower / roof (fourth floor) is also empty. This is Sam sinister's personal ride: It is included in the LDD file. LDD file for the mansion and car: http://www.mocpages....1431479292m.lxf Johnny Thunder's office (version 2) This building was inspired by set Modular Building set numbers 10246: Detective Office, and 10190: Market Street. The first floor's look was totally taken from 10246, while the roof details are from 10190. Also,the year 1897 should be above the front door in printed black 1 x 1 tiles. The levels lift off like a modular but it lacks modular building pins, a base-plate and is not the proper size, being 18 studs square after all. Johnny's car is included in the Building's LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1427128673m.lxf Benny's Classic Town-style Apartment This is Benny the 1980-something Space Guy's apartment. It features a garage with dual opening doors on the lower floor for his Lego Classic Space - styled Car. Benny himself (minus his suit's printing, of course!) is there as well. The style of the set is based off half of set 6390, a Classic Town set from 1980. (This set was re-released in 2003 under the short-lived Lego LEGENDS line as set 10041.) Also, unlike most of my buildings, Benny's apartment does not open like a dollhouse, but features removable levels to accesses the inside, much like a modular building. I was inspired to build this model after seeing the dark red half-track / truck in set 60071, Hovercraft Arrest. The model features a row of space-ship styled seats opening doors, and "double" tail lights. (I used a trans-red grille to create a nice effect.) the white tiles is supposed to be Benny's license plate. It was inspired by the B model of Creator set 31026, (Bike Shop & Cafe) and features a detailed interior, delivery truck, outside staircase and a hinge to allow you to open the building. This same hinge system "locks" the building closed by way of a Technic pin. The lower floor features a service desk, mailbox and two seats for waiting customers. The upper floor features a desk for sorting outgoing mail and a cabinet full of dead letters, a list of addresses for my town, and other assorted stuff. This truck is a MOD of the truck from set 10222, Winter Village Post Office. It seats two people and has storage room (with opening doors) in the back for packages. It houses my Post office and features a large bay window. The inside of the model features a work area on the second floor piled high with letters and packages to be sorted. The lower floor features a couple of chairs for waiting customers to sit in, and a counter to add packages being handed over into the computer tracking system. This truck is also in the LDD file. LDD file for this older post office: http://www.mocpages....1314989073m.lxf Model Train Club This model houses Iron LUG, the local LEGO Users Group for Ironwood - area residents. It is situated in an old pharmacy that has been renovated into a display area. Inside the model is the Iron LUG LEGO layout, with a train, tracks, and "water". Their is even a control switch to speed up the train. (in reality the train does not move, being set into the 1 stud wide track) (No LDD file available for this one, sorry!) Grays Movie Theater The theater is modeled after the one in 2008 set 10184, Town Plan. The original upload of this model was in gray-scale way back in September 2014, and this is a colorized update of that model. I was going to name this movie theater Bleys, after the derogatory nickname of the post-2003 switch to Bluish Grey.... but I didn't want to stir up old feelings of resentment and stubbornness, so I named it "Greys" instead. I chose white panels for the windows and theater door because I have seen first hand how bad stickers on clear windows are, (my brother had this set) and wanted something more realistic. If I were to build this, I would use stickers (Shock & horror!) from both the Town Plan theater & Palace Cinema modular building, (as they are of compatible styling) and stick them on the front and sides. The letters G-R-A-Y-S would be printed on 1x1 tiles on the main sign (both sides!)... but the main "now showing" signage, however, would remain blank unless I Can fit the these words on it: STAR WARS - A NEW HOPE to replicate the 1977 showing of this iconic film. My town is set in modern times, so this could create some issues... Here is the inside, complete with Foosball table, waiting seats and refreshment stand. Currently however, there are seven seats in the theater plus the two for the people waiting outside, and one for the ticket taker. There are two soda flavors available, one of which is Sgt. Pepper, a Beatles and a Dr. Pepper reference in one drink! LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1429563317m.lxf Victorian Townhouse This building was originally the Brick City Depot 'Winter Village - Victorian House" model. (Link to it here: https://www.brickcit...victorian_house ) I removed the snow, and sloped-plate roof, and added a back half with stairs to the model. There is even a fireplace for keeping you warm on cold winter nights. The rear of the model features the chimney flue. As usual, this building hinges open and shuts on a Technic pin. The inside of the model features most of my standard details, such as a stove (which is supposed to look like it's hooked into the chimney), couch, vintage phonograph, table with lamp, curio cabinet, and twin-size bed. I have even included a analog clock on the wall above the fireplace to complete the early 1900's look. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1430059147m.lxf Johnny Thunder's Office - revisited original version Since the last time I uploaded Johnny Thunder's office, I did a Bricklink inventory of the parts list and found that the first model is way cheaper than the following versions I made. It may be not as fancy, but it get the job done and looks okay too. Also, I credit Eurobricks / Flickr user "Kristal" for the roof top decorations technique. (Here is a link to her blog: http://modularsbykristel.com/ ) The inside features a new look: a stove borrowed from the Haunted House (set 10228) and a staircase with railings instead of a ladder. The cabinets have been moved upstairs, and the desk has been redesigned as well. This model's LDD file also comes with Johnny's car, seen here in real life. This sign ( http://www.bricklink...asp?P=6179pb086 ) goes above the front door. This poster ( http://www.bricklink...sp?P=87079pb197 )goes next to the picture window. The store-owner uses this torso. ( http://www.bricklink...?P=973pb1935c01 ) The inside (lower floor) isn't my best work, but it gets the idea across that this is a grocery store. The store features tow shelves, a freezer, gumball machine and, in the restroom, a toilet and sink. The upper floor is the super market owner's apartment and is very basic with couch, table with two chairs, bed and TV (with test pattern made from a Star Wars control pad). I need to build: Town Hall (Version 2), Barber Shop, Johnny Thunder's office (Revisited Version 1), NEW Post office, & Benny's apartment, Victorian Mansion and maybe the Victorian townhouse . Welcome aboard the Astro-train! This stream-liner was a mix of the 1910's Earth train called the "Bipolar" built specifically for use by Classic Space forces as high-speed, high-security ground transports for senior level officers such as Benny. Unlike the Earth version, the Astro-train is super-streamlined, and can go up to speeds of up to 400 MPH on special track, with super-elevated curves and long straight-away's of tens of miles.\ BUILDER'S NOTES: In reality, I liked my original take on the Classic Space Aerotrain, but it can't be built due to design and motorization issues. thus, I stretched the design into the model you see here but with my Super Bipolar at the head. This will be able to allow the engine to pull freight cars, (such as Benny's road car on a flat car) too. This model was inspired by both a 1999 version of the original, real-world Bipolar engine built by user Legosteveb and by a digital-only design by @Sunder to create the Super Bipolar you see in my picture above. Note, the two 4 x 2 slopes should have this CS print while the four white 1 x 1 tiles should have this "60" print. Also, a bonus for this engine model is if I ever show off this train at a LEGO show, I can replace the middle wheel-set on the loco with another person's 9V motor swapped in to power the train. This is the baggage car, and like the rest of the train, all the doors open. (Although there are no interior details, so it can be whatever you want it to be inside!) These are the two passenger cars. The observation car. This is the complete train. I'm planning on building this in 2019 in real bricks, at some point, hopefully.
