  1. This Blacktron 1 colored passenger train is modeled after the General Motors Aerotrain concept of 1955. I modified the engine to have two bogies (one of which can be replaced with a 9V motor to power the train) instead of the one bogie and one fixed axle of the original. The passenger cars were lengthened from 16 to 24 studs and Jacob's bogies placed in two spots to lessen the part count. (Yes, it bears more than a passing resemblance to a certain other space train of mine... let's just say some espionage was involved concerning the CS design plans for that train!) The train will be used on my Blacktron space base, shuttling VIP's around on tours of my base. Alternatively, it could be used to get personnel to / from the base and the off-site living quarters. (you can read more about my Blacktron fleet in it's own thread in the Sci-Fi forum.) The windows in the train were difficult to get right, but I managed to attach them. Inverted trans-yellow 2x2 slopes that would make this way easier are coming in a set releasing in March, but I'm not waiting that long! (The tail car is currently missing a few parts for the roof.) The cab roof is removable and a driver can be placed at the controls, but the coaches are totally impossible to get into due to the construction techniques used. (Also, two control panel double-cheese slopes, two 1x1 number tiles, and two radiator donut tiles are missing from the model, among a few other parts.) As for when this will be built in the real world, it will be soon. The last few parts for the train were ordered 1/14/25. Update 1/15/25! This space train station (named 'Base Terminus') is to be used with my retro-futuristic Blacktron passenger train to get staff and VIP's to and from the space base. (Some printed parts are not in the picture, but they will be when it's built in real life.) Thoughts?
  2. Blacktron I rises again! "You are now entering the Blacktron sector! This is the absolute limit of the Classic Space quadrant! You have been warned!" ...sorry about that. Had to get the legal stuff out of the way first! Anyway: Blacktron long-range fighter "Buzzard" Above is the two copies of the Blacktron XL-15, which are now dubbed the "Buzzard" type starfighter. So back in January of 2023, I decided to convert the XL-15 spaceship from the film "Lightyear" into original Blacktron colors. The blue became yellow, and white was turned to black, with all the trans-green removed. I added laser blasters under the wings where some technic pins are and put a different control tile in the cockpit. I was thinking about building a second ship, but then again, getting some of the parts from Bricklink was a total pain due to extremely low quantities in the needed color. (I'm talking about you, 3 x 3 wedge plate in yellow!) Thankfully, I bought one too many of both kinds of the yellow 12 x 3 wedge plates, as they are very rare as well with only one store selling four of each kind in the USA, which made making the second one easier later on. Blacktron command vessel "Executor" In addition to the two Buzzards, I wanted a Blacktron capitol ship. I had no ideas of my own ship, so I spent most of the afternoon of 10/5/23 taking Benny's beloved spaceship from The Lego Movie and corrupting it into a twisted, evil version. I revamped the nose, removed the expanding wing assembly and snub fighters. Of course I then recolored it almost exclusively in black and yellow. (some gray was unavoidable!) I armed it with a turret on the top rear where the sensor array once was, and put the commanders office below where the wing mechanism used to be. To keep with the one-word naming scheme of the original Blacktron, I borrowed the name of Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer, decreeing this ship the Blacktron Executor. I struggled to think of an engine flame color that fit OG Blacktron, but eventually trans-light blue was selected. Since the wings don't extend anymore, I added a third section for figures with a turret on top in their place. The rear-most section lifts away, but the rest of the roof sections are supposed to fold open. The ship seats seven troops and 1 commander. Blacktron cargo transporter "Vendetta" The new Blacktron Vendetta. I combined the Renegade with a new cockpit modified from the Blacktron Cruiser GWP, with added parts from a free Rebrickable MOC's instructions. The cargo pod is reverse engineered and modified from one posted in a Brickset article. (More pictures to coming soon of this ship!) Blacktron armored ground transporter "Marauder" The 2021 Star Wars set 75311 (Imperial Armored Marauder) has been transformed into a Blacktron 1 version, complete with revised guns instead of those annoying flick-fire things. I couldn't use space seats inside this one, but there are plenty (four) 2x2 modified tiles with just enough room for air-tanks in the model... at least I hope that will be the case! The rear of the hover-vessel with the laser turrets rotated. There are eight total opening hatches on the all four sides and top to place figures / store cargo. One figure sits in the rotating rear turret, two troopers sit in the main body of the vehicle, while the last fig sits in the drivers seat. Blacktron giant robot "Destructor" For this model, I used parts and ideas from the Eternals line's "In Arishem's Shadow" set 76155 (body / head / upper legs / upper arms) along with claw from the old Agents 2.0' "Robot Attack" set 8970. The lower legs and laser arm are (modified) holdovers from the "Build Better Bricks" Iron Giant instructions. (I need to fix the laser arm's elbow joint but I keep forgetting!) Blacktron "Shadow Runner" space car Recently, while I was on my Blacktron kick, I decided I needed a vehicle for the commander. So, after a few false starts with other models, I dusted off this old TRON Legacy Light Runner model and went to town modifying it. The model originally was made five years ago (was 2018 really that long ago?!?), and is based off the two-seater TRON set 21314 MOD that was made by BrickBrosUK and posted on Brickset here. The name Shadow Runner is a play on the Light-based vehicles from TRON. Blacktron minifigs 1x commander 4x officers 19x troopers 1x robot (E.D.G.A.R.) (Thanks to my brother for giving me ~10 of his unwanted Blacktron torsos from the old GWP that were purchased from Pick-A-Brick back in 2023.) Blacktron robot "E.D.G.A.R." This model is recolored and modified from the E.R.I.C. robot from set 76831 - Zurg Battle - from the Pixar film Lightyear. I call this one E.D.G.A.R. which stands for: Electronic Data Gathering / Assimilating Robot Blacktron space base "Outpost 13" This sandwich-looking model was built from an 2002 Alpha Team set 4795 (Ogel Underwater base and AT sub) but heavily modified to fit into the Blacktron I theme. I had to fill in the spots where the flexible plastic "window' pieces were, replace the skull logo with the upside-down Tri-Force logo of Blacktron I, find ways to make the model almost totally "air tight", and add on a radar dish instead of a harpoon gun. I also made the building a lot deeper - about eight studs. As on the original set, the logo folds down, where it can be used as a ramp. Also as on the original set, the MOD folds open to access the inside details. Special shout out to Jon Mo who designed the brick built Blacktron logo I used on my model. Also, thanks to Flickr user EliteGuard01 for finding that logo design and recommending it to me! The rear of the model. I took out the fancy spinning wall of the original set and replaced it with a bank of windows. The inside was very hard to figure out, as most space furniture is for me. I decided on six computer stations and a desk for the commander. Another source of trouble was to make the building open cleanly and close without holes. The original set struggled with this, and it failed miserably. However, I feel I managed to fix that. Thoughts? Vendetta and updated minifigures added 1/8/25
  3. What would happened if Blacktron 1 theme stretched all the 90s decade? The world might never know... It has a 3 section spaceship, a rover, a robot guardian, a flyer, an elevator on the back, working diagonal garage doors, 4 diferent space era baseplates and many more stuff! 1320 pieces. Only the spaceship windscreen and the hinged side panels of the spaceship were never made in those colors, but it looks so great I leave it like that. Where's the mop?
  4. [Blacktron] Space Gatling Turret Because bigger is better. With 2 octo-tubes, there should be enough bullets on the target. Turns in all directions. Included, you can put the Gatlings vertically. [Blacktron] Space Gatling Turret by Horlack, on Flickr

The Epsilon Falcon was created and worked to fill the rapid deployment and mutli-role fighter but lacked the range and firepower. The Hive Fighter was commissioned to fill the role. The vertical design was to allow for a decreased footprint in docking bays and orbital drop ships. With a crew of two, the Hive Fighter has proven to be valuable asset against attacking forces. Disclaimer.. this is my first post.
  7. Just passing time with LDD and I somehow created a Blacktron III shadow speeder. (I think it was inspired by the Snow and Sand Speeder sets, such as 75204) The wings on the rear were exchanged for more menacing Batman ones, and the colors of the fold-opening windscreens changed to trans-yellow. The ship is 100% build-able, and would feature a printed 2 x 2 curved slope with the "B" from this online store called Brick Builder's Pro The rear of the ship features the engines and invisibility device cooling fins. Both canopies open up to place figures inside. The needed figures would be the Rench alien figure's suit from SP3, with the new Nexo Knights heads from this year's energy Vampire baddies and the helmet from Series 10 Paintball player CMF. Any thoughts on this idea?
  8. Hello everybody, I'm new here. At nearly 36 years of age I've become an AFOL, I guess, when I rediscovered the delightful Lego-sets my parents gave me in my younger days. Please excuse me if this (kind of) thread already exists or if I needed to post this elsewhere on the forum. In an attempt to prep a nice little Lego-assortment for my sons (the eldest is only 3 and a half and too young still) I bought three little M-Tron-sets to go with the 6812 (Blacktron) Grid Trekkor and the 6831 Message Decoder I already had (I should have SP II Rebel Hunter too, but I can't find it at the moment). The initial idea was to form a large enough 'space' vehicle pool of both sides + some Space Police for them to be able to make up some play scenes. But I've now begun to wonder wheter the Blacktron-M-Tron-Space Police would actually (still) appeal to youngsters nowadays. I still think the colour scheme of respectively black-white and red(black)white) and the neon green parts are just perfect and make for great looking sets. In comparison to the modern Ninjago-sets or Nexo Knights-sets, for example, the 'classic' space sets might not be 'interesting' enough anymore in this day and age. I guess I'm asking the parent-members if they have any recent experience with their children still appreciating the 'old' Space-sets (Blacktron, M-Tron, Space Police). A second part of my question is about the playability of (these older) Space-sets: by that I mean that I can't provide convincingly built 'bases' for the kids; building Blacktron, M-Tron bases would require loads of speciality pieces. In comparison to the City-theme, it's not as easy to build scenery for them to play in. I have a limited amount of bricks (in comparison to many avid AFOLs) and certainly in terms of speciality space pieces (neon green stuff, special baseplates etc.). I'd very much appreciate any of your views on this. Thanks
  9. Internal report: Alienator-type Units Organization: Blacktron Its purpose is causing an unignorable distraction so as to allow the strike force it carries to sneak into secure locations while local forces are occupied dealing with the vehicle. Its heavy armaments are capable of dealing significant damage to most forms of armor, and its thick plating and layered reinforcement makes it difficult to damage. Usually crewed by one armored trooper and two pilots, one of which is redundant and as such is usually part of the strike force. Equipment contained on an average Alienator-type unit is wire cutters, grappling equipment, welding tools and a hand-held circular saw, along with a variety of weapons and in units planned for long-term deployment (although it must be stated that due to their large and noticeable appearance, long term in this context refers to periods of at most 1-2 days), rations. The displayed example's armory included one small plasma pistol, one recoil-neutralized handheld railgun, a blade suited for underhand wielding, and a bashing/disarming ring upon recovery. Play features: removable roof, windshield opens, classic shuffle-walk mechanism, deployable ladder and ball joint mounted stud shooter turrets. This one was rather fun to make. I stole the foot design from Nexo Knights' Stone Colossus, and while I initially planned to make the legs flexible enough to walk normally, once I realized that I could actually use the classic mechanism I just had to. Of course, this is entirely unbuildable in real life due to the fact that I built this with little to no regard for the availability of certain pieces in certain colors. I just really wanted to make something focused mostly on aesthetics. Gallery LXF download (once public)
  10. Hi All, I'm currently building for a space collaboration display at Brickvention (Melbourne, Australia). This is a small blacktron buggy that will be part of the display. Hope you like it. Thanks,
  11. A drone unit for dealing with other drone units that are far too cute and popular for their own good. "These Turtle units are too common-place, and too heavily armed. They've become a problem, a problem that requires... Rectification."
  12. After getting reinvested into the LEGO Blacktron theme with the Scouttrax, Trooptrax and Liberator ground vehicles, it was a given that I also had to build a Blacktron spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!!! I wanted something big like a command ship but not so big that I would have to spend a small fortune on Bricklink. So I opted for a frigate class ship. This is the Blacktron Blackbird a Blacktron C3 (command, control and communications) frigate. Designed to act as a forward HQ for an AO (area of operations). As most ships in the Blacktron fleet, it is fast, heavily armed and cool looking as hell. It has two modes of operation. It's standard cruise mode in which the ship is one long sleek craft. And then it has a battle mode in which the front cockpit detaches and acts as a multipurpose fighter/bomber. The fighter is called the Wasp it has a variable-sweep wing which can be completely folded backwards. When the fighter detaches the main ship is controlled from a secondary cockpit slightly farther back. It is not difficult to see where the inspiration for this build came from, I think. It had two main sources of inspiration the first obvious being the Lockheed SR-71. The second is a bit more obscure but I hope fan of the Star Trek universe will still notice it. Have to say I had a lot of fun making this build and also making some of the images. All my other MOCs since my dark age rely heavily on LEGO Technic, all of them are remote controlled. This is quite the opposite. Hardly any technic involved here. Nor any complex mechanisms so I was able to fully enjoy the design process, which was a lot smoother than normal. Still planning to expand my Blacktron forces further. BT4EVER!! For more pictures please check my Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/33425520@N07/albums
  13. This is a general-purpose all-terrain walker developed for the mighty Blacktron forces. I'm actually kind of proud of the head/cockpit. Here's another look! Now with optional cupholder! It's a work in progress. I've got some ideas on what to put on its back...a cargo platform, artillery rockets, engines and wings... a holding cell for captured Space Police...
  14. Lego set 6059 Knight's Stronghold was released in 1990. As a child I was dreaming about it. It was a bit more realistic dream because it was much cheaper then big castles. I always knew parents won't buy me big castle. It was outrageous expansive in post-communist Poland with crazy exchange rates usd/zloty. But there was small hope for smaller and cheaper 6059... Well, in the end, I never get big castle nor 6059. I was so crazy to get those big doors, black castle panels and of course those awesome knights. Read more Bigger photos and full story here: LEGO Gallery - Lego 6059 goes to Space - Stronghold with M:Tron and Blacktron Follow my new MOCs and articles at: Facebook | Flickr | Google+ --- Notice: This is a shortened version of the post from LEGO Blog - Bricks' Treasure.
  15. Here's my new Blacktron 1 MOC. The shape was loosely based on the 6781 Space Police 1 SP Striker. Does anyone know how to get Blacktron 1 minifig torso in LDD? Also I was looking for some older computer slopes and tiles, like from the classic, M-tron and ice planet era's.
  16. with apologies for photo quality..
  17. Hi, I am kind of new here, trying to advertise my B-2 Spirit inspired Blacktron stringray. :D Any comments, suggestions are welcome. https://www.flickr.c...157670838755865 https://ideas.lego.com/projects/147161 thanks, z
  18. New MOC, total change of theme to go to a field I like, Space ! I decided to do some space MOCs because it's been a long time that I wanted to put some Blacktron 2's color scheme on a Peter Morris design. I have also done some modifications on it in particular on the reactors. So maybe it's more a MOD than a MOC So, this is the result : BT2-SSH1 BT2-SSH1 BT2-SSH1 BT2-SSH1 More pictures on my Flickr. I wanted to participate to Andromeda's Gate but I'm limited by my color choice for the moment.
  19. The super-laser is installed, the bar has been equipped, party decorations hung up, the PA is ready and all invitations have been sent – the dark side really knows how to party! While the emperor and Darth Vader raise a toast on this new jewel of interstellar destruction, a Stormtrooper discovers the wonders of Karaoke! The Inquisitor rules the catering department. Daft Tron on the turntables, Darth Lavaria has a chat with an imperial officer. Always the same story: he drinks too much, takes over the turntables and starts playing 70s disco… In the meanwhile, Darth Vader realizes that mixing Saurian Brandy with Alderaan-Whiskey (rare!) wasn’t a good idea. Of course he will blame the music. And he will clearly remember the usefulness of this duct at some later point… More pictures and (a review of the set) on my blog! I hope you enjoy the party just as I do
  20. With the arrival of a few classic space sets recently, I think a reboot may happen soon, so here is how it should be done. Factions: The Lego System Space Exploration group (LSSE) The M-TRON Corporation The SeaTron Corporation Blacktron LSSE Lsse are a company devoted to exploring the outermost reaches of space. They have three models of spaceship, the LL918, LL924 and LL928, they also utilize a variety of ground vehicles such as moon buggies and walkers like atats and also exo suits. http://bricksafe.com...jpg/800x450.jpg Their operatives either wear the standard classic space uniform or any of the classic space styled collectible lego minifigures uniforms. M-Tron M-Tron is a mining company which is extracting useful magnetanium ore from many planets and turning it into magnets to help the whole of space. It uses bulky transports with wheels to traverse a planetoid a great example is lego set number 6989. SeaTron Seatron is a mining company that believes that the best place to find strong metals is under the sea on earth and alien planets alike. They have submarines to mine and then ship ore to the surface with monorails. SeaTron often hires aliens who can breath underwater to get inside small caves etc.[/size] Blacktron Blacktron is a space pirate and gun-for-hire empire. They have small and fast ships that can intercept other ships as a swarm or ambush space-convoys by hiding behind asteroids. A blacktron operative A blacktron Heavy operative A blacktron alien operative They also use robots such as the lego minifigures one. Hope you liked it Columbus
  21. By the technomagical necromancy of the Blacktron Summoner Corps, the dead of wrecked colonies rise once more, to visit vicious vengeance unto the alien. The Mourneblade speeder bike is unique to the Summoners. It carries the mage's staff mounted to fire directly forward, a backup summoning/control unit and backup weapon. The pilots are equipped with twin-engine jetpacks for individual mobility; these can be used to supplement the bike's own engines. Selected standard-issue equipment is shown here. On the right are two pylons usually teleported in at the start of the fight, to provide extra shielding and stealth to what comes next: Space zombies. This photo is terrible. These things form the core of the summoner's fighting strength, usually called in batches of three: two fast attackers with carbine and sword, one with heavy weapon. Bigger threats require bigger summons. that went well Here's a better shot of the zombies. Adorable, yes? Just look at their cute pearly widdle teeths, aww <3
  22. Back in the 90s I used to think the Message Intercept Base was a Futuron Base diguised as a Blacktron one. Many times I thought how it would look a true Blacktron1 Base. So I designed this project and make something more "mean" more "rebelious" a base with modules which could be used both as rooms in the base and also as parts of vehicles or ships. I wanted to take the interlocking modular concept used by Lego on the Blacktron 1 sets to a new level and giving a fresh look to the retro space subtheme. Also give them droids which actual look like automata units for different purposes like spy units or guards. Enjoy it and if you like it, give it support. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0f9caab4-1d4a-4207-ae82-60b6cc8b61d9
  23. Tezta Centenial Tower now includes an Infiltrator ship! My Lego ideas Project now features a Blacktron Infiltrator, a three module BT ship with a ship, a mobile base and a satellite with a little surprise, a Blacktron Spy Android. Please follow the link to see the ship. Finally a Classic Space set with a Blacktron spaceship included. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/3aaf1892-0890-445b-98ef-a5b5d7dbc0c1
  24. I realized I have never posted these MOCs here, its almost the 2022 edition of this event on flickr, but here are my rovers of last year: Febrovery 2021 by Ids, on Flickr Individual links of my rovers are over on flickr (I don't feel like posting 28 rovers here ) Link to the album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmUoBGfU Almost all my rovers, except one (number 3 got upgraded to number 22). To be honest I hadn't planned to make a rover every day, especially as most of them were build on the day itself or a day before. And some days I didn't really have inspiration/ideas to build one. But I made it, 28 rovers. :P
  25. A Blacktron spy is being chased by the Space Police inside Alpha-5, a Futuron research outpost. Pursuit on Futuron base Alpha-5 by Ids, on Flickr Always difficult to make something fitting an existing theme, but I like how this part of a Futuron building turned out. And also using my favorite Space Police and Blacktron made this a fun build. Let me know what you think, comments and feedback is always appreciated.
