This is a MOC from a collaboration project where members are creating chess pieces. Once every piece and the board have been modeled, we're hoping to take the whole build on tour so a few major conventions. Having never created a horse before, I took on designing the knight figure for the medieval team (white). Check out my other projects on Instagram and Flickr.

This is my second MOC from a collaboration project where members are creating chess pieces. This one represents the bishop piece. However, instead of a standard bishop, I chose to create a wizard in a classic pointy hat to keep with the medieval (albeit fantasy) theme. Like the knight I designed previously, he is primarily white with yellow and blue trim for contract. I've positioned him hunched over so that he would be shorter than any future King or Queen piece while his hat makes him slightly taller than the knight if you ignore the lance. It's a bit hard to see in the images but he is holding a crystal ball with a black "King" inside. Check out my other projects on Instagram and Flickr.

Here is my take on the 853373 lego chess set. Everything except the horses are lego originals (they are chinese made lego knockoffs) Hated the fact that you had to click and unclick each figure to move them, so I made my own version of the lego chess set. If anyone has tried to play it before, will know what I'm talking about :)

After playing some old steampunk games, I decided to make a chess set using airships as playing pieces! Left to right: pawn, bishop, rook, knight, king, queen Queen: Devastator-class dreadnought. A fearless vessel bristling with broadsides and gun casemates. King: Pisces-class ferry. A weak, slow craft reserved for the ceremonial head of state. Rook: Scorpion-class carrier. A new invention, this vessel can strike targets at range with its fighter biplanes. Bishop: Shrike-class pursuit craft. A nimble vessel capable of dashing through openings in the enemy's defenses. Knight: Hornet-class strike craft. The Hornet is light and agile, allowing it to vanish behind enemy lines before unleashing a storm of autocannon fire. Pawn: Mayfly-class attack balloon. Mayflies are slow and weak, easily overcome by the enemy's flak batteries.

G678 (Knights' Kingdom Chess Set) and the Queen's head
Shakar posted a topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Greetings, I hope this is the right section for this topic. So, I'm about to sell G678- Knight's Kingdom Chess Set. I've checked my set because I remember I had fiddled with the minifigs in the past (I know, I know). All pieces and minifigs seem to be in their place, and the things I had to fix I fixed. But there's one thing I can't seem to solve: it's the white (or baby blue ) Queen's head. Both Brickset and Bricklink show her with the head she's pictured in. My Queen, however, has this head. I might have swapped the original one with that one because I needed it, sure. It's rather odd because I don't see myself being that interested in that head, but it's still possible I suppose. The problem is, I don't remember ever having had that head. In fact, when I saw the Queen's Catalog entry my reaction was along the lines of "...huh? That's her head?". I was dumbfounded- I didn't even remember it existing. I've looked for that head everywhere in my collection, but I can't find it at all. I know that some later editions of the set have the Queens' slope skirt glued to their torsos, but no alternate versions of the minifig seem to exist otherwise. So, I'm asking for your help. Is my set a misprint/alternate version or am I just remembering things terribly wrong? I would like to find the head so I can finally ship the set to my buyer, but if that's her correct head I fear I'll be forced to buy it somewhere and make him wait. Thank you in advance. -
This is MOC of Spring 2013-March 2014. A long time ago I really wanted to buy 852293, but it doesn't sold in Russia, so I decided to make my own version of giant chess. It has been exhibited at the exhibition DoubleBrick Fest 2014 at Dolgoprudny, Moscow region. All figures stay at their own standing pieces, but this pieces are not gray, as in the original set, but white or black. View from above. From white player's view. From black player's view. Chess board consist of 576 tiles and one gray baseplate 48x48. White chess pieces are the Knights of the Lion Kingdom. Rook H1 is a tower with an archer and Knight G1 is a noble knight and his trusty steed. Bishop F1 is a wizard with his magic staff and owl and King E1 is a Lion king with a sword and scepter. Queen D1 is a Lion queen with a goblet and scepter and Bishop C1 (you can distinguish light-squared and dark-squared Bishops not only by the color of the square they're stood, but also by the color of their beards). Knight B1 and Rook A1. Pawns H2 and G2. Pawns F2 and E2. Pawns D2 and C2. Pawns B2 and A2. Black chess pieces are the Knights of the Dragon Kingdom. Rook A8 is a tower with an archer and Knight B8 is a noble knight and his trusty steed. Bishop C8 is a wizard with his magic staff and dragon and Queen D8 is a Dragon queen with a goblet and scepter. King E8 is a Dragon king with a sword and scepter and Bishop F8. Knight G8 and Rook H8. Pawns A7 and B7. Pawns C7 and D7. Pawns E7 and F7. Pawns G7 and H7. Thanks for watching and any comments are very welcomed)

I did a little model of one of the publicity pictures from the hit Netflix chess drama 'The Queen's Gambit' which we enjoyed watching this year. https://www.instagram.com/retro__chip/

I don't understand much about chess (I know the rules, but that's pretty much it ), but when the young Norwegian chess prodigy Magnus Carlsen is playing for the world champion title against Vishy Anand, I can't help it, I'm spending hours in front of my computer watching the matches, and understand nothing about why the chess computers are telling me one or the other has an advantage . But today Magnus took his second victory, playing with black, and I made a little celebratory MOC

This is my MOC of a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Chess Set based on the Battle of Scarif. The MOC was based on the Lego Pirates Chess Set 40158 and Lego Star Wars Battle on Scarif 75171. When I first saw the Lego Pirates set, the first thing that came to mind was modding it to be a Star Wars Chess Set, then I saw Rogue One and set about building it. It has sat on my desk in various states over the last year or so and I thought it was about time to finish it and share it with you all. To my knowledge this is the first Lego Chess Set based on Rogue One unless I missed something. Some of the changes I made were: Making the connection between minifigure and chess board two studs to centralise the position of the figure. Changing the colour of the water plates to be closer to the colour of the water on Scarif. After building 21042 recently I decided to give this set a black border and base to add stability. I feel that it also gave the build a nicer finish. Foliage and beach design and layout. The one thing I found difficult was deciding which minifigures should represent each piece, given the lack of Imperial female representation the Queen ended up being Orson Krennic whilst the King is Darth Vader. Please let me know if you have any comments of ideas for improving it. Anyway enough of my babble, here are the photos: And finally a friend suggested that I included a mini AT-ACT, so I modified Miro’s mini AT-AT from https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-8089/Miro/tiny-at-at/#comments Thanks for looking at my build.

Doctor Who and the Daleks prepare to do battle... on the chess board! The board itself uses a 48x48 baseplate with 6x6 squares that alternate between light and dark tan. Each square has a 2x2 plate in the middle of it to help anchor the chess pieces to the board, either for display purposes or during gameplay. All the chess pieces have a base made up of 3x6 wedge plates, with the cutouts making great finger holds. For the light pieces we have all the elements of classic Doctor Who, from the time lord himself down to his faithful robotic dog K-9: Against him is quite literally an army of Daleks! This was an old MOC I decided to spruce up after discovering the excellent range of custom printed Doctor Who figures available from minifigs.me. For the Doctor's pieces, the King and Queen are represented by the 7th Doctor (armed with his umbrella) and companion Ace (as seen in the classic story Remembrance of the Daleks, armed with the baseball bat from the Hand of Omega). The bases pay homage to the classic roundels on the Tardis walls, and to the transparent column in the original Tardis console. The figures shown here are just placeholders and will be swapped out for the minifigs.me versions when built in real life. The bishop is the Doctor's vintage roadster Bessie - this small car was used extensively by 3rd Doctor Jon Pertwee, but made a brief return in the 7th Doctor's story "Battlefield". I've always been proud of the fact that I got to sit in the driving seat of the real one. The knight is the TARDIS console, and it was an absolute nightmare to design a hexagon that fit within a 6x6 footprint! Lastly, the rook is the TARDIS itself - I've got some custom printed 1x4 tiles labelled "Police Box" to add in, though I can't remember who the manufacturer was. For the black pieces, the king is none other than the creator of the Daleks - Davros! Shown here in his original black-and-silver wheelchair, I'm still working on a version of him as he appeared in Remembrance of the Daleks, which would probably fit better with the 7th Doctor opposite him. The Queen is the black Dalek from the 1965 movie with Peter Cushing, which ruled the dalek city - this piece features a 2x2 swivel tile that lets the dome and eyestalk spin freely, as a reminder that the queen can move in any direction. The bishop is the red Dalek from the 1965 movie, and includes the claw that was the movie alternative to the sink plunger. The knight can hop over other pieces, so in this case it's a white Dalek hovering up a flight of stairs (another homage to Remembrance of the Daleks). And lastly, the rook is the tank-like "Special Weapons Dalek". A better look at the Dalek hovering up the stairs It only took them 25 years to learn how to do that! The chess set is quite fun to play with - just remember that the Daleks can be sore losers....

Hello everyone ! In this post, i will present my first chessboard realization which goes from virtual to real bricks: The Classic It's my third realization in virtual but my first creation in real. It's start now 3 years old and will end next month (order to be made...) This chess contain approximately 800 pieces. Chessboard history: I started by create the board and then i design the game pieces: echec 3.3 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr but i was not completely satisfied witch the result (pieces too big / taller for the board) and i thereforce copied as faithfully as i could the "classic" pieces that exist in wood, which gives this: echec 3.18 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr And in the chessboard: echec 3.19 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr After that, i waited a long time before i decided to realize it which gave me that once i went from 3D to real LEGO bricks : echec LC 1 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr echec LC 2 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Pieces: Towers: echec LC 7 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Riders: echec LC 8 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Crazys or Bishops: echec LC 9 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Queens: echec LC 10 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Kings: echec LC 12 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Pawns: echec LC 6 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr I stayed that way for almost 3 years and i came across an Yoshihito Isogawa video with magnets... I had concerns about stability (the slightest shock knocked down all the pieces of game) that i wanted to solve and a small modification of the board (design) to do what fell perfectly ! Follow this modifications, the chessboard looks like this now: Placement of the magnet in the game pieces (same principle in board): echec LC 14 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Echec LC 1 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr That all for the moment with this chessboard ! More next month ! Thank you for reading me and if you have any questions / criticisms, don't hesitate !

Hi, I just present you a little creation about Last jedi : Chess. The boarder game isn't worked, the goal was to work in microscale on pieces (I have never work in this scale). For some pieces I missed inspiration. I wait Snoke's guardians to create another fools.
